The Room size, bathroom, and amenities were good. However, we didn’t feel much hospitality. The building makes good use of its charming historic architecture, and it was comfortable to stay in. The location was also quiet.

The in-room open-air bath, amenities, and the vegetarian Buddhist-style breakfast were excellent.- The toilet is separated from the living room by only a single door, so noise carries through. - When dimming the bedroom lights, they repeatedly flickered slightly between brighter and darker. - The in-room open-air bath seems to be separated from the building’s public smoking room by only a single partition, which made it feel lacking in privacy.
