Experience Ryokan culture in a luxurious 2,000-tsubo Japanese garden and a Sukiya-style Room.

Ishinoya Izu Nagaoka is a 22-room retreat where a magnificent 2,000-tsubo Japanese garden unfolds before the detached guest rooms. All first-floor rooms feature open-air baths in the guest room, allowing you to enjoy natural Onsen at any time, while the second and third floors are equipped with indoor baths. Enjoy Onsen, restful sleep, and cuisine crafted from carefully selected local ingredients.

  • This was my first stay at Ishinoya. The Room was in a detached-style layout, and when moving to the large public bath and other areas, I could forget everyday life while watching the koi—truly a wonderful time. Thank you very much.Thank you as well to all the staff for your kindness. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and I was very satisfied. Each dish was carefully prepared, with perfect presentation and flavor—five stars. Thank you, Chef.I would love to visit again.

  • I decided to visit on short notice. The building is old, but it has been renovated and, above all, felt very clean.Perhaps because some Rooms have a bathroom with Onsen water, the large public bath was quiet; I was able to enjoy the open-air bath all to myself and relax. I also enjoyed the Onsen in my Room even late at night. And the meals! Beautiful to look at and delicious—truly satisfying. The staff were wonderful as well, making it a comfortable and pleasant one-night, two-day stay.
