  • The Best Rock Bath

    This long-established Ryokan had a calm atmosphere, and the garden was wonderful.Most notably, the in-room rock bath was so spacious that it felt almost too much for our family of three, and with free-flowing hot spring water straight from the source, we lost count of how many times we soaked.The meals were also carefully prepared; everything was delicious, especially the tasty rice—so good that our son, who usually never asks for seconds, did.We would definitely like to stay again.Thank you very much.

    This was my first stay at Ishinoya.The Room was in a detached-style layout, and when moving to the large public bath and other areas, I could forget everyday life while watching the koi—truly a wonderful time. Thank you very much.Thank you as well to all the staff for your kindness. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and I was very satisfied. Each dish was carefully prepared, with perfect presentation and flavor—five stars. Thank you, Chef.I would love to visit again.

All 22 rooms are detached guest suites with the refined charm of traditional Sukiya-style architecture. Set around a Japanese garden that changes with the seasons, they offer a quiet, relaxing stay. Another highlight is that every room features Onsen. First-floor rooms include a private open-air bath for an especially refreshing soak. Second- and third-floor rooms also offer Onsen in the in-room bath, so you can enjoy its warmth whenever you like.

A mildly alkaline simple Onsen (hypotonic, alkaline, high-temperature) known for its gentle feel on the skin. Its smooth, soothing waters slowly melt away the fatigue of travel. In addition to in-room Onsen baths, we also offer a spacious public bath with an open-air atmosphere. Enjoy the renowned waters of Izu-Nagaoka while taking in sweeping views of Mt. Katsuragi by day and a sky full of stars at night.
