Located in the middle of Hanamaki Minami Onsenkyo, Yama no Kami Onsen is named after the "Yamatsumi Shrine" that enshrines the mountain deity in this area. Yukaen, a Yama no Kami Onsen inn crafted by shrine carpenters, features lattice-patterned ceilings and intricate craftsmanship throughout the building, allowing you to fully enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by the warmth of wood.
Thanks to the information you shared by email in advance, we were able to arrive smoothly at Yukaen by shuttle bus on the day. Check-in was explained carefully, and we stayed comfortable throughout. We considered sightseeing on the second day, but since we had fully enjoyed Chuson-ji on the first day, we decided to focus on relaxing in the Onsen instead. We booked a head and hand course at Nagomi-yu for day use, had lunch, and spent a leisurely time. The fried shrimp and minced meat cutlet I ordered for a daytime drink were impressively generous portions and delicious. The lounge pancakes were also great—I finished them in no time. Dinner on the second night featured a different menu from the first, so we enjoyed a fresh atmosphere as well. The guest-focused hospitality was truly pleasant, and my friend and I left saying we'd love to come back again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
tum tum 8/1/2026We stayed with 7 guests in 4 Rooms to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday. From the time of our Reservation, the staff kindly helped us choose the Rooms, and all four were close together, making it easy to visit each other. The bath water left our skin feeling smooth and was very relaxing.They also accommodated dietary restrictions by substituting other dishes, and everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety and was very satisfying.We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.
