A traditional hot spring Accommodation built by master temple carpenters, featuring silky, free-flowing natural spring water.

Located in the middle of Hanamaki Minami Onsenkyo, Yama no Kami Onsen is named after the "Yamatsumi Shrine" that enshrines the mountain deity in this area. Yukaen, a Yama no Kami Onsen inn crafted by shrine carpenters, features lattice-patterned ceilings and intricate craftsmanship throughout the building, allowing you to fully enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by the warmth of wood.

  • Thanks to the information you shared with us by email in advance, we were able to arrive smoothly at Yukaen by shuttle bus on the day. Check-in was also explained carefully, and we stayed comfortably throughout. We considered sightseeing on the second day, but since we had fully enjoyed Chuson-ji Temple on the first day, we decided to focus on relaxing and enjoying the Onsen. We booked a head and hand course at Nagomi-yu for day use, had lunch, and spent a very restful time. The fried shrimp and minced meat cutlet we ordered for daytime drinks were impressively generous portions, and everything was delicious. The lounge pancakes were also great—we finished them in no time. Dinner on the second night featured a different menu from the first, so we could enjoy a new atmosphere as well. The hospitality truly felt guest-focused and very comfortable; my friend and I said we'd love to come back as we left the Accommodation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • We stayed with a group of seven in four Rooms for my mother’s 88th birthday celebration trip. From the time of the Reservation, the staff kindly helped us choose our Rooms, and all four were close together, making it easy to visit each other. The bath water left our skin feeling smooth, and we really enjoyed it. They also accommodated foods we couldn’t eat by changing them to other dishes, and everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety and was very satisfying. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.
