Hakkoda Jogakura Onsen Hotel Jogakura -HOTEL Jogakura-
Aomori Prefecture/Mount HakkodaA Nordic-style mountain Resort Hotel nestled in Hakkoda, one of the world's heaviest snowfall areas.
A Nordic-style Hotel surrounded by the primeval beech forests of Hakkoda. Enjoy the beauty of each season and a star-filled sky. Mount Hakkoda is one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains and among the world’s heaviest snowfall areas. “HOTEL Jogakura” nestled in these mountains offers an ideal location as a base for activities. In the open-air bath overlooking the mountain stream, crisp air and the gentle murmur of flowing water invite you away from everyday life. Take a deep breath in the beech forest—why not spend a truly special time here?
We stayed in a Room with an Onsen. Not only was the bath in the Room wonderful, but the Room itself was spacious, with plenty of living and bed space, making it very comfortable and easy to use. The Hotel staff were friendly, and when we went out for a walk, they even lent us bear bells as a precaution. As it was the off-season, it was very quiet, and we were able to relax and enjoy our two-night stay. The open-air bath had excellent water quality, and bathing surrounded by fresh greenery was exceptional. We also appreciated the massages in the relaxation area after bathing, as well as the fitness equipment.Although it is not a new Hotel, everything was well maintained overall and kept clean.Breakfast was delicious.
あけぽんこ 6/3/2026A quiet Accommodation in the forest where you can truly relax. The open-air bath in the woods offers a starry sky at night, and in the morning you can enjoy birdsong and the scent of the forest—an openness unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptionally delicious, making great use of Aomori ingredients.
