During the Edo Kaei era, a time accelerating towards the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, "Minato no Yado Teiya" welcomed travelers at Yaizu Bay, which opens to the sea following the Kuroshio Current. For over 150 years since then, we have devoted ourselves to the spirit of hospitality, incorporating the freshness of the winds blowing from the east, west, and beyond the sea into our long-established Property.   • Quiet and relaxing

    Located by the harbor, the detached guest Room was quiet and relaxing. The open-air bath in the Room was also very comfortable. The cuisine was excellent and truly enjoyable, starting with deep-fried tuna collar. We could also feel the staff’s attentiveness, and we had a pleasant stay.

  • We’ll visit again.

    This year, I visited with my daughter and grandchild—three of us.Because we were traveling with a small child, we made several requests, and everything was handled kindly and smoothly.My grandchild was thrilled to watch the boats from our Room overlooking the harbor. In the outdoor wood-and-stone bath, they enjoyed the hot water even with rosy cheeks. They also struggled with wearing zori at first, but by the time we left they could put them on properly—an experience full of firsts where we could really see their growth.Thanks to in-room dining, we were able to relax and enjoy a delicious meal together at our own pace.Thank you very much to all the staff and the head chef.We had hoped to return again next year, but my husband’s event has been moved within commuting distance of home... such a shame. We hope to visit again in two years’ time as a group of three.One thing we noticed: even after lowering the bath temperature, it didn’t cool down by nighttime. It would be even better if it could be adjusted to a comfortable temperature.
