All 8 rooms. Savor to your heart’s content the freshest seafood unique to this port town and the bounty of the Shida mountains.
During the Edo Kaei era, a time accelerating towards the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, "Minato no Yado Teiya" welcomed travelers at Yaizu Bay, which opens to the sea following the Kuroshio Current. For over 150 years since then, we have devoted ourselves to the spirit of hospitality, incorporating the freshness of the winds blowing from the east, west, and beyond the sea into our long-established Property. The joy of a traditional inn lies in always striving to connect it to the satisfaction of our guests. With this wish in mind, we eagerly look forward to new encounters with our guests.
We stayed during the Marine Day three-day weekend.\nIt was a hot, sunny day, but upon arrival we were greeted warmly and impressed by the smooth valet parking—truly the quality you’d expect from a luxury Accommodation.\nThe front desk procedures and guidance were clear and courteous. We were shown to our Room with care, and both the in-room amenities and the private open-air bath were spacious. The natural Onsen water was crystal clear, allowing us to relax and unwind at length. Dinner was a kaiseki course that felt far beyond “standard”—everything was delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, and we especially enjoyed comparing different types of Yaizu’s famous shaved bonito flakes. We reluctantly prepared to leave and checked out.\nThis is an Accommodation we definitely want to plan a Reservation for again next time.
ノックルン 7/25/2026Drawn in by the wonderful Reviews, we visited and found an Accommodation even better than we had hoped! The spacious Room offers an open, airy feel with sweeping harbor views through two large glass windows—pure luxury to unwind in a deck chair at dusk while enjoying the sea breeze. The interior blends Japanese and Western styles beautifully, the semi-open-air bath is easy to use, and the Reservation-only private open-air bath was even more spacious than expected. For dinner, we dined in a private room featuring a huge lion painting by Japanese painter Untei Takahashi, and enjoyed local and seasonal dishes such as a tuna tasting and the famous deep-fried tuna collar. The next morning was just as delightful, with fun Yaizu touches like comparing different shaved bonito flakes and savoring bonito broth.Above all, the warm hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation truly soothed our hearts and made this an unforgettable trip. We hope to return again soon.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Enjoy the Yaizu Kuroshio Onsen with your family, friends, as well as couples and spouses.

When thinking of Yaizu, one cannot miss katsuo, tuna, and the fresh seafood from Suruga Bay, along with seasonal vegetables from Shida. Enjoy the freshest delicacies from the sea and mountains unique to Yaizu. Especially, the crispy fried tuna collar, a specialty of Migiya, with its tender texture and rich flavor, is a must-try dish. Relish the Japanese kaiseki course meals that beautifully present the seasonal flavors of spring, summer, and all four seasons, delighting both your eyes and palate.

New yet somehow nostalgic and warm. We have prepared two types of "Detached-style Rooms" suitable for a comfortable Property. Each Room features an open-air bath for relaxing while enjoying the garden view, along with twin beds and a Japanese-style room of 6 or 7.5 tatami mats.

The scent of the sea evokes childhood memories, and the sound of waves gently lapping becomes soothing music for the soul. At our seaside retreat, we offer a warm and comforting space to make your relaxing moments even more special. Take in the nostalgic scenery and let it guide you to a truly healing experience.
