An Accommodation with only 15 guest rooms on a vast property, each featuring a private open-air bath.

Akazawa Geihinkan, surrounded by crystal-clear seas and unspoiled nature, is a refined Accommodation where you can enjoy a private stay in a serene setting. On an expansive estate of over 1,000 tsubo, we offer 15 guest rooms with open-air baths. We also feature detached villas equipped with private saunas. Each room overlooks a beautiful Japanese garden and the surrounding landscape, showcasing the elegance of Japanese architecture through details such as ajiro-woven ceilings and Juraku plaster walls. The property itself is designed in calming traditional Japanese style and includes a large public bath featuring deep ocean water, as well as private dining rooms serving carefully crafted Japanese cuisine centered on locally sourced ingredients. In a space that harmonizes with Akazawa’s natural beauty, savor a restful stay as time passes quietly and your mind finds ease.

  • We stayed with three guests this time. All of the staff were very kind, and we were satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the meals. The Onsen in our Room and the large public bath were also wonderful, making our stay truly relaxing. Since there are only a few Rooms, we had minimal interaction with other guests—only hearing some conversation in the dining area—which gave us a strong sense of privacy. We felt that if we had stayed for a few more days, we could have refreshed both body and mind even more, and we have already decided to return. Thank you very much for all your hospitality.

  • The Room, meals, bath, and staff were all very satisfying for adults. If there was one thing that concerned me,it was that the wonderful Akazawa Spa thalasso pool as a Facility felt like a summer-vacation kids’ pool, so I couldn’t relax. From 8/1, even small children were allowed to enter, and many children who needed swim rings were playing and enjoying the lazy river.Since the Room and meals provided such a relaxing and satisfying time for adults, I couldn’t help wishing that Akazawa Spa had remained a space where adults could also unwind. This is an Accommodation I would like to visit again,so next time I’d like to go outside of the summer vacation season and enjoy Akazawa Spa as well.

Remarks
■Made with 100% undiluted deep ocean water. You can expect relaxation, detox, and skin-beautifying benefits. Akazawa Deep Ocean Water is drawn from a depth of up to 800 m—the deepest level used on a commercial scale in Japan. Radioisotope analysis has shown it to be seawater from approximately 1,100 years ago. It also meets the highest standards in all four key conditions of deep ocean water (purity, nutrient richness, mineral balance, and low temperature). *After bathing, your body may feel unusually heavy due to the high buoyancy of deep ocean water.* Please note: The facility is closed for cleaning from 12:00 to 15:00 and cannot be used during this time.
