Hamachidori no Yu Kaishu (Kyoritsu Resort)
Wakayama Prefecture/Nanki-ShirahamaA traditional Japanese-style Onsen resort perched on a cape overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, just a short distance from Senjojiki.
Nanki-Shirahama is one of Kansai’s leading resort destinations, offering both the sea and Onsen. Near Senjojiki, a renowned scenic spot in Shirahama, the new traditional Japanese-style Hotel “Hamachidori no Yu Kaishu” has opened on a cape jutting out toward the Pacific Ocean.
I finally got to experience this Accommodation I’d been curious about for a while, thanks to its appealing Instagram posts and high rankings online! In conclusion, it’s a wonderful Onsen Accommodation with a high level of satisfaction that truly lives up to the hype. The food is especially outstanding. At dinner—famous for its boat platter—you can enjoy Kishu-style whale dishes, along with a lineup of carefully prepared courses. As for the Onsen, it was a bit disappointing that every bath felt too hot to fully relax in,but you can still enjoy thoughtfully designed baths, including an open-air bath where you can feel the sea up close.I’m glad I found an Accommodation I’d love to return to in another season.
大坂のんた 7/19/2026This was my first stay here. The property looks great, and the training of the international staff is excellent. The service was wonderful, and the food was truly delicious. The Room and the open-air bath in the Room were outstanding, allowing me to relax and unwind at a leisurely pace. If I have the chance, I would love to return with my family. Thank you very much.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Set sail on a journey.
The “Kobai Garden,” with its gently undulating, smooth curves, and the “Wind Garden,” where a reflecting pool beautifully mirrors the main house in the background. Kaishu invites you into a time and space away from everyday life. Enjoy a luxurious getaway alongside once-in-a-lifetime views found only by staying here.
How to Spend Your Time at Hamachidori no Yu Kaishu
We offer a variety of thoughtful touches throughout the property to welcome our guests. Please enjoy your stay in your own way.

Arrival
As you step inside, you’ll find prime spots throughout the property with sweeping ocean views. On the terrace, relax to the sound of the waves and the sea breeze.

In the lounge next to the front desk, we offer complimentary drinks such as Kishu’s specialty plum juice and coffee. Refresh yourself with a cold drink.

Guest Room
Once you arrive in your Room, take a moment to unwind. We have prepared a set of Kishu specialty sweets and green tea in your Room. Relax at your leisure while enjoying the view. After a short break, head out for a hot spring tour.

After taking a break in your Room, please relax and soothe your fatigue in the Onsen. Please note that towels are not provided in the large public bath, private open-air bath, or mixed-gender open-air bath, so please bring the “Yu-kago” basket available in your Room.

In the Room, we provide comfortable samue loungewear for your relaxation.

Hot Spring Tour
The closest bathing spot to the shore: the mixed-gender open-air bath “Hamachidori-no-Yu.” Soak in the soothing warmth as you watch the sun set—an exquisite moment that leaves both body and mind feeling renewed.

Dinner
Choose between the Kishu Boat-Platter Kaiseki “Shiosai” and the seasonal specialty Kaiseki “Umihotaru.” Select your preferred dining venue from two options.

After dinner, our late-night soba stand opens in the lounge. Made with our homemade broth and finished in a Wakayama-style ramen-inspired flavor. Delicious and easy to enjoy until the last bite.

Morning bath
In the crisp morning air, enjoying a bath while gazing at the sparkling blue sea is truly exceptional.

Before using the mixed-gender open-air bath, please change into the yuami bathing garment provided in the separate men’s and women’s changing rooms for the mixed-gender open-air bath.

We offer a probiotic drink that’s perfect after a morning bath. Enjoy a refreshing morning and start your day feeling clear and energized.

Breakfast
In the morning, the view from the dining room windows transforms into a refreshing expanse of blue ocean. Enjoy your choice of a Japanese set breakfast or a Western-style plate.
Check-out
After check-out, head to Shirahama’s top attractions. From famous scenic spots to beautiful white-sand beaches and a zoo, there’s plenty to see and do.

Nearby are many scenic spots such as Shirarahama Beach, Engetsuto Island, Sandanbeki Cliffs, and Senjojiki Rock Plateau—be sure to make Shirahama’s sunset, selected as one of Japan’s “Top 100 Sunsets,” a highlight of your trip. Enjoy the beautiful scenery created by magnificent nature.
