This is a long-established Ryokan at Kawayu Onsen, where Onsen springs flow from the riverbed. It is the closest Ryokan to the large open-air bath "Sennin-buro," which is available from December to February every year. In November 2008, we opened three "Kumano Modern Rooms," guest rooms with open-air baths and foot baths inspired by the bamboo, wood, and earth of Kumano. Enjoy the ultimate relaxation of a foot bath while overlooking the river's open-air bath and the Sennin-buro (available from December to February). Additionally, a private open-air bath with a reclining bath was also opened in November 2008. All Rooms face the river, allowing you to fully experience the natural beauty of Kumano.

This is an exclusive property for one group per day, located in the heart of Kawayu Onsen, famous for its natural hot spring baths. You can enjoy playing in the river in front and dig the riverbank to create your own open-air bath. The property's bath is also an onsen, and you can bring your own ingredients to enjoy a barbecue on the terrace. At the bar counter, you can also enjoy karaoke. Please visit Shiba, the travel property at Kawayu Onsen, where you can enjoy both the property and the river so much that one night won't be enough.

You can enjoy a unique experience by crossing a suspension bridge to reach the largest open-air bath in Western Japan, accommodating up to 500 people. Additionally, there are free private baths and large public baths available without crossing the bridge.

The Facility was renovated in April 2021, featuring redesigned guest rooms inspired by locations and specialties associated with Wakayama, as well as updated water areas such as washrooms, toilets, and baths. Additionally, the Property is equipped with an elevator, ensuring comfort and safety for children and elderly guests. Meals are prepared with seasonal ingredients, delivering rich flavors. Locally sourced ingredients are used extensively, and everything is handmade. There are also many dishes incorporating Onsen elements, such as Onsen porridge, Onsen eggs, and Onsen coffee.
