"Kin-sen and Gin-sen" - A Property with Onsen offering two unique hot springs, each with distinct colors and water qualities.
In the Nyuto Onsenkyo area, there are numerous properties with excellent onsen qualities. Among them, Nyuto Onsenkyo Myounoyu is a proud property combining the two sources of 'Golden' and 'Silver' onsen, viewed from Kansai. Additionally, it is highly appreciated as a charming property that balances the simplicity and antiquity of a small hidden onsen with modernity.
Not only were the meals and the wonderful Onsen outstanding, but I was also deeply comforted by the staff’s hospitality. Their warm smiles and sincere service reminded me that people can be healed by people. I would love to visit again in winter. The coffee after breakfast was delicious, and I could really feel the proprietress’s attention to detail. It became a memorable trip to Akita. Thank you very much.
goalyun 8/1/2026This Onsen was one I had long wanted to visit, and my wish finally came true—I was able to make it there at last. Built along a mountain stream, the refreshing sound of the flowing river was incredibly soothing. The Onsen features two types of spring water—gold and silver—fed directly from the source, with seven baths in total. In particular, the forest bath and the mixed-gender bath were surrounded by magnificent nature and felt wonderfully restorative, washing away both physical and mental fatigue. Even after bathing, I kept sweating for quite a while—it truly felt like a detox effect. The meals made excellent use of seasonal local ingredients with thoughtful preparation, paired beautifully with sake, and everything was delicious. The junsai (water shield) was especially outstanding—smooth on the throat and exquisite.Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, including grilled hatahata (sandfish) and natto wrapped in straw—perfect with Akita-style rice dishes. I couldn’t help but have seconds.Above all, the staff’s hospitality was exceptional. Their attentive service—including perfect timing for each course—was truly impressive. It felt like thorough training from the proprietress, making the stay extremely comfortable. If I can secure a Reservation again, I would love to return in another season. It’s such a popular Accommodation that getting a Reservation is quite difficult—that’s my only concern.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Myounoyu offers a mildly acidic iron spring (green vitriol spring) called "Golden Spring," with one bath each for men and women, as well as a mixed-gender open-air bath. Its benefits include relief for skin diseases, rheumatism, neuralgia, and anemia. Additionally, the "Silver Spring" is a gentle simple spring with indoor baths for both men and women. It is effective for treating fractures, post-injury recovery, convalescence after illness, gastrointestinal issues, and gynecological conditions. We take pride in the therapeutic effects achieved through the synergistic benefits of these two unique hot springs: Golden Spring and Silver Spring.

We focus on Akita's local cuisine, incorporating locally harvested wild vegetables to create dishes that are "nostalgic yet new." In addition to taste, we strive to offer visually appealing dishes that reflect the seasonal essence. Please enjoy.
