Founded in 1897. Experience Arashiyama’s ever-changing beauty through the seasons and traditional Kyoto kaiseki cuisine.

The facility features Kitayama round timber throughout, accompanied by the sounds of the koto and the fragrance of incense, creating a Kyoto ambiance. Each staff member provides hospitality with the feeling of welcoming a valued guest into their own home.

  • The location is excellent. The Onsen exceeded expectations and could be featured more prominently. The staff’s kimono dressing is flawless. As expected of a long-established Ryokan, the proprietress’s training and guidance are clearly reflected throughout.

  • Heartfelt hospitality, delicious cuisine, and relaxing Onsen made for a wonderful experience. The building has the charm of a traditional establishment, which I personally liked. The room was renovated and very clean. It is conveniently located very close to Togetsukyo Bridge, making it ideal for sightseeing. The staff provided polite service with just the right level of attentiveness. Even with international guests present, their service was excellent. Highly recommended for those who want to leisurely enjoy a traditional Japanese Onsen Ryokan experience.
