    Located near the sea in a historic area including Oranda-zaka, the location was excellent. From the Room window, a solemn white statue of the Virgin Mary could be seen standing quietly, and perhaps because Nagasaki is such a special place, I felt relaxed, healed, and somehow cleansed. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on the same grounds were delicious, and for a trip with female friends, this Monterey Hotel—with its lovely interior—was truly satisfying.

  • Flawless

    Our family of four stayed for two nights. We chose this property for its location, and it was the right decision. We also booked a Plan with breakfast, and the breakfast selection was excellent. It offered plenty of Nagasaki specialties along with all the standard favorites, so it should satisfy a wide range of guests. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

■By Car
From the Nagasaki Expressway Nagasaki IC, take the Dejima Bypass and drive straight for about 5 minutes. Turn left at the “Nagasaki Minato Medical Center” intersection toward Glover Garden, then turn left at the second intersection, “Oura Kaigan-dori.” The white building immediately on your left is the Hotel.

■By Train
From JR “Nagasaki” Station, take the Nagasaki tram Line 1 bound for Sofukuji and transfer at Shinchi Chinatown to Line 5 bound for Ishibashi. Get off at Oura Kaigan-dori. The Hotel is a Western-style white building behind Imamura Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic on your left. (Approx. 10 minutes.)
