A long-established Ryokan founded in 1874, popular for its open-air panoramic bath overlooking Kochi Castle town.

Since its founding in the seventh year of the Meiji era, Stays Josaikan has been widely loved as a property of sincerity in Tosa, welcoming many distinguished guests from the imperial family, as well as numerous political and business leaders. What we always cherish is the idea of our property as an extension of the home. We sincerely and wholeheartedly offer hospitality with gratitude, so that guests who have traveled all the way to Tosa can relax and feel at ease. Time flows and eras change, but the spirit of hospitality remains unchanged. Subtly and warmly. The passionate thoughts of our predecessors still live on in Stays Josaikan.

  • My husband and I stayed here together. We were very satisfied and felt the attentive hospitality in every detail. There was a bag for wet towels in the bathroom, and several plastic bags for changing clothes were also provided in the Room. When we told the front desk we wanted to go to Hirome Market, they kindly explained the route and gave us a map, which was very helpful. We would definitely like to stay here again when we visit Kochi.

  • It was a Room-assigned Plan.A Japanese-style room with a step-up entryway. The bath and toilet were separate. Staff came to lay out the futon. No missing amenities; a hair dryer was provided in the room. Room wear included a yukata and haori. Tea, coffee, an electric kettle, and cups were all provided. The breakfast buffet was delicious—so much I couldn’t finish it, and I was very satisfied!Even my slightly germ-conscious husband was very satisfied. Thank you very much.
