Noise at Night
I stayed in a room on the 14th floor. Throughout the night, there were loud footsteps (unclear if they were from next door, diagonally above, or directly above), and it was the first time I had such an experience at a hotel. My elderly mother had to take sleeping pills to get through the night. The next day, I informed the front desk, but they completely dismissed my concerns and responded as if they were urging us to check out quickly. Should I have asked the hotel staff to confirm the noise with me during the night when it was happening? This is not a Ryokan or a guesthouse, so I am appalled that such measures would even be necessary at a hotel. Including the response from the front desk, this is a hotel I would never want to stay at again.
