Higashiyama Zoo & Botanical Gardens is home to around 500 species, including popular koalas and elephants. The park also features the Natural Animal Zone, the Children’s Zoo, and the World Medaka Aquarium showcasing about 150 varieties of medaka fish. Don’t miss one of Japan’s largest Sri Lanka-inspired Asian elephant houses, as well as Koala Forest in the Koala House where you can learn more about koalas! At the Petting Area, you can interact with goats and guinea pigs—fun for young children too! Each Room is equipped with an air purifier with humidifying function.
