A refined guestroom space that perfectly suits today’s Tokyo.

Fully renovated in 2025. Just a 1-minute walk from Tochomae Station, offering a greenery-filled setting in the heart of the city. Enjoy a comfortable Tokyo stay with the signature quality of the Hyatt brand.

  • The room had been partially renovated, but it was clean and nice. When I entered the room, I was very disappointed to find the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building right in front of me, but there was an open view diagonally to the right, which was a relief for someone as particular about views as I am.If you care about the view, I recommend a room with a view bath where you can see Mt. Fuji.It was lovely that the bathtub and shower booth were separate. And of course, the bed was wonderfully plush. There were no wine glasses, hairbrush, or amenities in the room, but when I called to request them, they were brought up immediately, which really helped. There were no pajamas—only yukata.Breakfast had unique items you don’t often see at other hotels; it was delicious and I ate too much. The omelet was cooked a bit firm. With lush greenery right in front of us, it was refreshing to enjoy breakfast from early morning. The bar’s location, service, and atmosphere were all great—and they even have happy hour—so I ended up drinking too much. It would also be nice to stop by for a drink after work before heading home. The service was excellent and the food was delicious, so I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

  • There were not many Japanese guests, and using the lounge was very comfortable. Thank you for accommodating our Room request as well—it made this a truly memorable trip and workation. We had cocktails on the first floor; everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great. In the lounge, we also saw some guests we don’t usually encounter… Some young overseas travelers had poor manners at times, but a kind word from a female staff member in the hall lifted my spirits.Because this stay was so wonderful, I made a Reservation for the Hyatt in Yokohama at the end of this month.I had avoided visiting before because I wanted to stay away from Shinjuku’s crowds, but thanks to its excellent location next to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, it has a great atmosphere and is a lovely Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.Thank you very much.

Grand Reopening on September 17, 2025

Hyatt Regency Tokyo opened on September 15, 1980 as the first Hyatt Hotels and Resorts property in Japan. The Hotel’s symbol is three chandeliers made with 115,000 Swarovski® crystals, casting a glamorous and elegant glow in the atrium lobby that rises from the lobby level to the 8th floor.

Beneath the sparkling chandelier is the lobby lounge & bar, “Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar.” Inspired by the iconic clock at Shinjuku Station, its design blends beautifully with the original “Emperor’s Chandelier” that has been here since opening. Reimagined classic dishes featuring Japanese ingredients are served all day, with highlights such as Tokyo Akigawa beef sirloin accompanied by 1980s-inspired “Café de Paris butter.” With 80 seats, it offers menus tailored to each time of day—breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and bar time.
