There were not many Japanese guests, and using the lounge was very comfortable. Thank you for accommodating our Room request as well—it made this a truly memorable trip and workation. We had cocktails on the first floor; everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great. In the lounge, we also saw some guests we don’t usually encounter… Some young overseas travelers had poor manners at times, but a kind word from a female staff member in the hall lifted my spirits.Because this stay was so wonderful, I made a Reservation for the Hyatt in Yokohama at the end of this month.I had avoided visiting before because I wanted to stay away from Shinjuku’s crowds, but thanks to its excellent location next to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, it has a great atmosphere and is a lovely Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.Thank you very much.
もゆみみ 8/13/2026From before our stay, I consulted with you about various matters for the day of arrival. From that phone call onward, you responded with great kindness and thoughtful care (I apologize if this sounds presumptuous). From the moment we arrived at the Hotel through after checkout, your attentive hospitality continued without ever diminishing, down to the smallest details.I am also truly grateful to the concierge team for all their help.We spent a wonderful time in a very satisfying setting.Thank you very much. We would love to visit again.

Grand Reopening on September 17, 2025
Hyatt Regency Tokyo opened on September 15, 1980 as the first Hyatt Hotels and Resorts property in Japan. The Hotel’s symbol is three chandeliers made with 115,000 Swarovski® crystals, casting a glamorous and elegant glow in the atrium lobby that rises from the lobby level to the 8th floor.

Beneath the sparkling chandelier is the lobby lounge & bar, “Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar.” Inspired by the iconic clock at Shinjuku Station, its design blends beautifully with the original “Emperor’s Chandelier” that has been here since opening. Reimagined classic dishes featuring Japanese ingredients are served all day, with highlights such as Tokyo Akigawa beef sirloin accompanied by 1980s-inspired “Café de Paris butter.” With 80 seats, it offers menus tailored to each time of day—breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and bar time.

Guest rooms have been renovated under the concept of “Shinjuku’s character and timeless beauty.” Featuring designs inspired by the shimmering surface of the Kanda River and handcrafted wall coverings made using Shinjuku’s traditional dyeing techniques, the rooms have been transformed into a serene, refined retreat in the heart of the city.

Order your meal while enjoying, with all five senses, the chef cooking right in front of you in a space inspired by the neon-lit nightlife of Higashi-Shinjuku and the lush, tranquil atmosphere of Nishi-Shinjuku. We offer a selection of gourmet cuisine from around the world.
