  • From before our stay, I consulted with you about various matters for the day of arrival. From that phone call onward, you responded with great kindness and thoughtful care (I apologize if this sounds presumptuous). From the moment we arrived at the Hotel through after checkout, your attentive hospitality continued without ever diminishing, down to the smallest details.I am also truly grateful to the concierge team for all their help.We spent a wonderful time in a very satisfying setting.Thank you very much. We would love to visit again.

  • The renovated room was lovely. The amenities were minimal but sufficient. There was nothing missing that I thought should be there, so it was perfectly fine. It had a clean and Japanese-style woodgrain design. I had a very comfortable stay. Although it was quite expensive, I was satisfied. Unfortunately, the restaurant was fully booked for afternoon tea reservations, so I couldn't enjoy tea there, which was a bit disappointing.

Grand Reopening on September 17, 2025

Hyatt Regency Tokyo opened on September 15, 1980 as the first Hyatt Hotels and Resorts property in Japan. The Hotel’s symbol is three chandeliers made with 115,000 Swarovski® crystals, casting a glamorous and elegant glow in the atrium lobby that rises from the lobby level to the 8th floor.

Lobby Lounge “Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar”

Beneath the sparkling chandelier is the lobby lounge & bar, “Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar.” Inspired by the iconic clock at Shinjuku Station, its design blends beautifully with the original “Emperor’s Chandelier” that has been here since opening. Reimagined classic dishes featuring Japanese ingredients are served all day, with highlights such as Tokyo Akigawa beef sirloin accompanied by 1980s-inspired “Café de Paris butter.” With 80 seats, it offers menus tailored to each time of day—breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and bar time.
