My wife and I stayed here to see the redevelopment of a place that means a lot to us, and it was an extremely comfortable stay that showcased all the best aspects of this new Hotel. In particular, as many others have mentioned, our time in the Gold Lounge was wonderful. Perhaps it helped that we stayed just before a long holiday weekend and could enjoy a calm atmosphere, but even compared with lounges at other Hotels, there were many standout points—such as evening cocktails with a bartender (the whisky-based cocktails were especially delicious) and an excellent food selection at checkout (the beer after the pool and the wrap sandwiches were fantastic). If I had to mention one thing, it would be that draft beer would have been nice. Breakfast was also very good (though it was unfortunate that fibers from the napkins frayed and stuck to my black clothes...), and we were impressed by the staff’s language skills and high level of hospitality. The facilities were outstanding as well: a bay-view Room with floor-to-ceiling windows, an infinity pool with Tokyo Tower right nearby, and an outdoor jacuzzi. The baked sweets and cakes we bought as souvenirs were all delicious—especially the macarons, which were a big hit in our household. We’re already talking about coming back next time as a family of three. We also heard that a Raffles Hotel from the same group is scheduled to open in Hamamatsucho in 2028, which gives us even more to look forward to.
