On May 17, I stayed at the culinary Ryokan Ueto.
That day, I was lucky enough to have the place entirely to myself, and I’m truly grateful.
Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the proprietress and immediately felt it was a calm, lovely place.
Unlike a Hotel, there is no elevator, so I carried my luggage up to my Room on the third floor.
It’s a small but comfortable Room.
The bath was also private—having the entire Ryokan reserved felt incredibly lucky. The water is on the hot side, but it was very relaxing,
and then came dinner. Dinner was a full-course tofu meal. Dish after dish arrived; everything was delicious, and I ended up eating too much until I was completely full. (There is more than enough food to finish.)
A peaceful day passed, and after enjoying breakfast, I found this Ryokan wonderfully homey.
It was an overnight stay filled with thoughtful hospitality that I deeply appreciated.
I would love to stay again if I have the chance.
Culinary Ryokan Ueto—thank you very much for taking such good care of me.
Thank you.
