We were completely satisfied with everything from start to finish. This time, we stayed to coincide with my eldest son and grandchild coming home. And on the day we checked out, we went ahead and made a Reservation for the following month to coincide with my second son coming home. In any case, we were completely satisfied with everything.

Thank you very much for your heartfelt hospitality during our three-day, two-night stay. Every dish made with local ingredients was deeply flavorful, and the free-flowing natural hot spring water was so soothing it felt as if both body and mind were gently unwinding—my spouse and I were truly refreshed. On the second day, we enjoyed a full round at a golf club near the Accommodation. Although it was extremely hot, the Onsen we had upon returning eased our fatigue, and once again we were reminded of how wonderful BeniyA’s hot spring water is. Also, whenever we encountered your warm smiles and greetings—especially from the attendant in charge of us—we felt at ease. Even a brief word when passing in the hallway showed such thoughtfulness, and we are sincerely grateful that we could spend our entire stay so comfortably. In addition, hearing from the proprietress about the kitchen knives left a strong impression on us—particularly as it came just after seeing news about a female figure skater receiving Japan’s People’s Honour Award. On our way to the large public bath, we caught a glimpse of the kitchen area and felt anew that these knives support your delicious cuisine every day. This trip became a cherished memory for us as a couple. We would love to visit again in another season—and next time, we hope to enjoy winter crab delicacies.

We were kindly offered an upgrade to a special Room. In addition to the wonderful Room, the service was excellent. We truly enjoyed a relaxing vacation. In particular, a front desk staff member (I regret I don’t remember their name) recommended great places for delicious grated soba and apple pie, which my wife and I both enjoyed. It was an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

I came here with a friend to relax and unwind in the natural hot spring water. This time we chose a more budget-friendly stay, so we skipped dinner. The Facility has a traditional Japanese design with great atmosphere, and it was truly calming. The hallways are covered with tatami mats, so it felt nice to walk around barefoot. The bath was incredibly relaxing—excellent. I was also able to fully unwind in the lobby. The onsen eggs were delicious, and breakfast was great as well. The Room had beds, so I could relax comfortably. One thing I didn’t expect was how few places there are to eat around the Accommodation. Many restaurants were closed on their regular days off, so finding somewhere for dinner took some effort. Also, when I misplaced something, their courteous support really helped. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and spoke politely—perfect service overall. Highly recommended.

The welcome drink service included options such as sake and plum juice, and the Room’s beautiful interior created a special, out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere. In particular, the breakfast was of exceptionally high quality, with some menu items that were on par with a main dish at dinner.

I loved the Japanese-modern exterior and the chic, calming interior. The guest room had a high ceiling, and the alcove lantern added a wonderful Japanese ambiance—I could really feel the good taste in the design. I heard there are only about 10 rooms in total, so the Onsen was never crowded and I could soak at my leisure. Dinner featured a wide variety of dishes using summer vegetables, seasonal fish, and local ingredients; I was very satisfied with the gentle seasoning. The edamame potage is something I’d love to have again. Breakfast also offered plenty of options and more than enough food—above all, the rice was delicious. From welcome to farewell, I felt truly high-quality service in every interaction with the staff. It was a stay that reminded me how glad I am to choose a Ryokan again after such a long time. We stayed with you at the beginning of August. We visited with 2 adults and 3 children (6th grade, 3rd grade, and kindergarten), and everyone was extremely satisfied. Our Room was the Deluxe Kousuiden with an open-air bath, and the atmosphere of the private open-air bath was amazing—our kids went in so many times we lost count! (LOL) Of course, the shared baths were also excellent, and since towels are provided there, we never had to worry about running out no matter how many times we bathed. The dinner buffet wasn’t “buffet-level” at all—it was truly delicious! The sushi, steak, and Häagen-Dazs were all fantastic. It was so good that I even managed to drink less alcohol than usual (LOL). The Facility options for kids were also great (arcade games, lounge, water play area outside the lounge, table tennis, etc.), and our family promised we would definitely come back. Also, my wife accidentally left her wallet in the safe when we checked out. Since we had to catch the dinosaur train, we didn’t have time to go back for it—but your staff checked immediately and reassured us so we could keep enjoying our day without worry. It arrived by mail the day after we got home, which really helped. We’ll definitely come visit again!

I stayed here with my sister’s family. The gentleman at the front desk who guided us and the lady serving our meals were both refreshingly pleasant, which was wonderful. It really left me with a strong impression that people in Fukui are kind! The meals were generous and delicious, so I ate almost everything. I meant to finish it all, but I got too full and ended up leaving some rice in the cooker lol. The courtyard view was soothing, and the Accommodation felt very clean throughout, so I loved it and would like to stay again! I’m glad we found such a great Accommodation. Thank you!!

We were very satisfied with the Room, where we could enjoy warm hospitality and a relaxing stay. The cuisine, featuring an abundance of ingredients from Fukui Prefecture, was also excellent. It is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. We loved the atmosphere of the Ryokan and the feel of the Room—it was exactly to our taste and wonderful. The meals also featured seasonal ingredients, and we were very satisfied. All of the staff were very courteous, and since it was our child’s birthday, they even sang for us, which made them very happy.

The breakfast and dinner were both very delicious. Everything from the live kitchen was truly excellent, no matter what I chose. The Onsen was also wonderful, and the rotating Onsen baths were especially great.

This was my second stay. The food already has an excellent reputation, and everything I tried was truly delicious—especially the desserts. I’ve had many buffet-style meals before, and this is my No. 1. The financiers served in the lounge as a late-night snack were also very tasty. The baths go without saying. I also appreciated that the service wasn’t overbearing. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Our family of three stayed for one night. The building had a sense of history, and there were no inconveniences except that the Room on the second floor was accessible only by stairs. We enjoyed a Japanese dinner. The ingredients were outstanding, and we were able to savor both meat and fish. Breakfast was also very delicious, and we could tell it was carefully handmade. The seasoning was just right, and we were very satisfied. The bath could be used like a private family bath, which actually made it more comfortable than a large public bath. The Room felt newly refreshed, as if it had been properly renovated—everything from the walls and ceiling to the bathroom area was thoroughly cleaned down to every detail, making our stay very comfortable. We were able to continue our trip while taking into account the owner’s travel advice as well. Thank you very much.

This was our first time staying at a Hotel affiliated with Ooedo Onsen! Due to our schedule, we checked in late and could only get a dinner Reservation for 8:30 PM, but we had plenty of fun in the meantime—playing table tennis as a family and enjoying the Onsen. The kids were thrilled! At night, we borrowed UNO and had a great time together. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent—the sushi and steak were amazing! Everyone went back for multiple bowls of seafood rice bowls in the morning. The Facility is a bit old, and the air conditioner was quite loud, but the overall enjoyment more than made up for it. The Room was very spacious too. We’d love to stay again!

The Hotel offers a great range of services to fully enjoy your time on-site, including complimentary drinks in the lobby, a manga library, one hour of free karaoke, and massage chairs. The all-you-can-drink alcohol option at dinner, including local sake, was also very good. As for the food, many dishes felt like typical buffet fare, and the sashimi selection was limited to tuna, squid, and salmon, so it did not feel upscale at all. The crab also felt like standard buffet crab. The heshiko ochazuke at breakfast was extremely delicious. My child was delighted to experience karaoke for the first time. What we especially appreciated was that both the washing machines and dryers could be used free of charge. They were lined up in the laundry room, and we could use any available one. We usually end up taking home heavy, smelly clothes after swimming in the sea; although we didn’t use the dryer this time, being able to wash and spin-dry everything made things much easier after returning home. Ryusho Museum is right next door to the Hotel—we could even see its beautiful building from the lobby windows—and we enjoyed an evening walk there as well. Everyone at the Hotel was very kind. Thanks to all these services, we had a wonderful time and it became a truly memorable stay. Thank you very much.

Perhaps because it was a weekday and the season, I was able to enjoy the Onsen almost privately, fully relax, and feel refreshed. They offer a No Meals Included Plan, and it was also very helpful that they provided a ride to the JR station on my way back. This Ryokan is also recommended for solo travelers.

I felt at ease knowing I could go anywhere with my dog. This time I only had breakfast, but it was very delicious and satisfying. Since it was a hot season, I used the air conditioner, but it was noisy, perhaps because the Facility is old. Other than that, my stay was comfortable.

The place was clean, and the food was tasty. It was disappointing that we couldn’t use the pool due to thunderstorms, but since Fukui often gets a lot of rain, it couldn’t be helped. For something to do, Matsushima Aquarium is very close by, which is convenient. Nearby Oshima Island also had a wonderfully serene atmosphere.

- The staff were very helpful. - The dishes included in the course were delicious and generous for the price. - We were too tired from sightseeing before arrival to see everything, but there were many kid-friendly spots inside the Hotel, which made it great for families. - When traveling to Fukui near this Hotel again, we would like to stay here again.

As this was a “reasonably priced” Room, it was located directly beneath the restaurant. As expected, we didn’t hear chair-scraping or footsteps much, but the sound of people running around carried quite a bit. The chair noise in particular was really loud. However, this trip was just for two adults and we weren’t specifically looking for complete quiet—and since we also used that restaurant for meals, it was within an acceptable range. The Room was spacious and very clean, though it did feel a bit dated. We were told there would be no view, but given the location, it wasn’t like another building blocked everything or we couldn’t see outside at all. If you shifted your gaze slightly, you could enjoy a nature-filled view of Fukui’s wide-open fields, which we were very happy with. The restaurant buffet had a great variety and everything was delicious—I ate too much. It seemed seared bonito (tataki) was the featured item this time; I could only get it once, but it was excellent. The other seafood was also tasty, and there were grilled and fried dishes as well—an indulgent buffet that everyone from kids to seniors can enjoy. Above all else, the Onsen was wonderful. I didn’t realize Awara Onsen is not overly hot. There were also two open-air baths, so guests could take turns enjoying them without crowding—everyone’s good manners made us feel lucky. We stayed here because we had a memorial service in Fukui Prefecture, but there were so many things to enjoy inside the Accommodation—a table tennis area and manga corner—and there was even a morning market held in the lobby. One night wasn’t enough. Next time I’d love to come back for sightseeing at a more relaxed pace. Thank you as well for providing Shuttle Service to Awaraonsen Station.
