Our Adult Holiday Pass trip coincided with both of our birthdays, so we stayed at this Accommodation during our visit to Iwate.
As it was our birthday, you kindly upgraded our Room to a top-floor corner Room and even served us cake after dinner, which was far more than we expected.
Nearby were Sanno-iwa, which had been on our travel list, and a Hotel damaged in the disaster that remains preserved as a relic.
The staff member who assisted us from the start was very pleasant and shared various stories with us—such as how trees cannot be cut down because the Accommodation stands within a national park—making for a truly comfortable stay.

After that, we tried the Zappa boat ride at Kitayamazaki. We were overwhelmed by the Sanriku cliffs, and hearing the boatman’s stories about the disaster made it an unforgettable trip.
