This was our second stay. The location is convenient from Old Karuizawa and Karuizawa Station, and being in a quiet villa area makes it perfect for walks. We truly appreciated the frequent Shuttle Service by car from Karuizawa Station. All Hotel staff showed thoughtful attention and considerate care for both guests and dogs, which really impressed us. Whenever we travel with our dog, we will definitely stay at Le Chien Kyukaruizawa Hotel again. We were completely satisfied with everything—the meals, the Onsen, the shop, and even the dog photo booth. Thanks to this Hotel, our 2-night, 3-day trip to Karuizawa became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

As the title suggests, I felt this was a top-class Hotel in every respect—guest rooms, service, baths, and dining. In particular, I thoroughly enjoyed the Classic Dinner, savoring its carefully crafted colors and flavors down to the finest details. Rather than resting on tradition alone, the Hotel embraces changing times as well, which I believe is why it continues to captivate people today.

We chose this place because the Karuizawa outlet area gets crowded and it’s hard to enjoy a relaxing summer retreat there—and it was absolutely the right decision! Everything from the Room to the Onsen has been beautifully renovated, and we were very satisfied. And for train lovers, it was a real treat to be able to take a monorail to the Onsen. Even if you don’t ride it, you can get there quickly by stairs. We’d love to stay again.

This was my second stay. The free-flow sparkling wine is also a big draw! Right after check-in, I headed straight to the lounge. Sipping sparkling wine while chatting in a quiet space made me feel happy right away. Dinner was French, and the taste, portion size, and quality were all outstanding—nothing to complain about. Every wine pairing was delicious, and it made me want to try a variety. The Room was spacious and beautifully designed. The Simmons bed was as comfortable as expected, and I slept soundly until morning. It’s a Hotel I’d definitely like to visit again when I go to Karuizawa.

While the Facility shows its age, the view from the window and the wonderful hospitality of the staff more than make up for it. Even though it was a busy season, we were able to truly relax. Thank you very much.

The complimentary drinks in the lobby lounge, the Room, the Onsen, the parking service, and access to the shopping mall were all excellent.

I stayed here again, as I did last year. This time, I split my stay into two parts: 2 nights and then 3 nights—first on the east side, and the last 3 nights on the west side. The west side is better. I plan to stay here again next year.

Because it was directly connected to the station, we stayed for two nights with breakfast only. I’ve stayed at many Accommodations and visit Karuizawa about once a year, but this trip was especially wonderful—we could enjoy shopping and dining at our own pace without worrying about time. Breakfast was delivered in a basket to the entrance after a knock, and it was plentiful and delicious. Being able to enjoy it at my own pace without watching the clock was the best. The Room interior and overall space were so relaxing that we lost track of time—unlike any Hotel I’ve ever experienced. The herbal bath and lounge were also spacious, with an impressive variety of drinks, allowing us to unwind comfortably. We visited for my husband’s birthday trip, and we truly appreciate that you prepared a celebratory gift for us. Thank you very much. We definitely plan to return. Lastly, since we sometimes re-wear outerwear such as jackets or shawls during our stay, it would be helpful if there were a deodorizing spray (like Febreze). The hand soap and body cream had great quality and fragrance, so something with a similar scent would be wonderful.

Close to the station, with an outlet mall just nearby, so the location is very convenient. Also, since we have children, we signed up for Picchio’s animal tour and insect tour within the Hotel and joined in. The guide explained everything carefully, and we enjoyed it a lot, so I highly recommend it. The Hotel grounds are vast, and shuttle buses run until late between Karuizawa Prince West, Animal, Hot Spring, and the outlet mall, which was very convenient. We woke up early and took a walk around the Hotel grounds. The fresh air was wonderful, and the sun filtering through the trees was truly soothing. The Onsen was great as well, and above all, all of the staff were very kind and pleasant—it really felt like they are well trained. I will definitely stay at this Hotel again.

We stayed for two nights over Silver Week. From the moment we arrived, the hotel looked wonderful from the outside, and the courtyard was just as pictured. It was a lovely, calm place to stay. The room was clean, and the view from the terrace was great.\nAlthough we weren’t lucky with the weather, it’s conveniently located for sightseeing spots, so it’s a hotel we’d love to stay at again.

The hotel was very clean, and above all, the location was excellent. Parking was free, and we could take the car in and out as many times as we liked. Breakfast was carefully prepared, and we enjoyed it both mornings. When staying in Karuizawa again, I would definitely like to return.

You can walk to both Karuizawa Station and Kumoba Pond. It’s a slightly retro Hotel, with no elevator, and the shower and hair dryer are standard. That said, it has a nostalgic charm that I really liked. Meals were served at seats overlooking the garden greenery, and it was comfortable even when dining alone. Of course, the food was delicious. The staff were also very pleasant.

The location was convenient and I had a great time. It was reasonably priced and I would like to use it again. Thank you very much.

We stayed with four adults and were able to relax comfortably. Outside the window, we could see trees and the waterfront, surrounded by nature. The Room facilities and location were excellent, and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. There are no dining options on-site, so we ate freely at our favorite restaurants, but for breakfast we bought ingredients at a supermarket and cooked for ourselves. If I had to mention one drawback, there was a persistent cigarette smell—perhaps because outside air is brought in—which was unpleasant; otherwise it felt perfect.

I made a Reservation because this Accommodation was reasonably priced and fairly close for sightseeing in Karuizawa. On arrival, there was welcome coffee from Mikado Coffee, and amenities were provided as well. Please note that pajamas are not provided. The Room was spacious and even had two TVs. I was also happy to find Mikado Coffee drip packs in the Room. A few things stood out: the Room felt a bit dated, I would have preferred newer slippers, and I saw a small ant while taking a bath—so it would be great if there were screens or something similar (it wasn’t so bad that it ruined the stay). That said, the breakfast included was very luxurious and exceeded the price! Since Karuizawa has stylish cafes, I think it would be nice to have a No Meals Included Plan as well. We stayed for one night with three dogs to celebrate the New Year, and it turned out to be a highly satisfying experience. Considering the year-end traffic and the cold weather in Karuizawa, we opted for the bullet train this time. After exploring the outlet mall directly connected to the station, we took a taxi for about 11 minutes at a cost of approximately 3,500 yen. Later, we found out that Shuttle Service was available, so checking in advance would make things smoother. The property is very spacious—about half the size of Tokyo Dome by feel—and fully enclosed. It felt like an entire dog park, providing great peace of mind when traveling with pets. Although limited to one group per day, there are three tents available. For two people it feels luxurious; six people might strike a better balance. The dogs were relaxed throughout our stay and enjoyed their freedom without concern for others—a major highlight. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with drinks and used the sauna before dinner. The sauna allowed "löyly" (steam infusion) with around nine types of aroma oils provided. At about 90°C (194°F), it was perfect for working up a good sweat. While there wasn’t a cold plunge pool available, winter’s chilly outdoor air sufficed without inconvenience. The distance from the sauna to showers could be improved slightly; however, having a bonfire area right outside made outdoor relaxation part of its charm—I wish we'd checked in earlier! Dinner was BBQ-style featuring high-quality meats and vegetables along with delicious fish appetizers and soup as starters. A selection of wines including red wine starting at 5,500 yen as well as white wine and champagne were also offered. The BBQ venue had enclosures and heaters ensuring comfort even during colder seasons. The Room felt chilly due to exposure from outside air but came equipped with electric blankets plus heaters making sleeping conditions manageable overall—though stronger or additional heating units would enhance comfort further especially if you're sensitive towards cold temperatures; bringing extra warm clothing is recommended! Morning began again inside saunas followed by breakfast consisting thoughtfully prepared soup alongside Akagi beef shigureni bento boxes which delivered both satisfying portions & flavors alike! Throughout every interaction staff maintained pleasant professionalism striking ideal balance between attentiveness yet respecting privacy leaving lasting positive impressions behind too! Finally returning back via Shuttle Service ensured seamless end-to-end convenience concluding memorable stay altogether! Looking forward revisiting during spring/autumn seasons next time experiencing different scenery/atmosphere altogether anew!

It was my first time staying at the updated Mori no Hanare. It took a little getting used to, but it was just as wonderful as ever. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a family trip with our grown sons. Perhaps because the building is set back from the road, it was very quiet, and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time. At night, we connected to Netflix and watched a movie with craft beer and snacks—it was a great time. We bought bread from a famous bakery for breakfast and toasted it in the oven here. It tasted freshly baked again, and we enjoyed it with the complimentary coffee. The bathroom is stylish and lovely, but the only downside is that shower water gets into the washroom area, making the floor sticky. As for service, everything is self-service, so I rated it 3. I was a little worried because there were some negative Reviews, but it was a great Facility that I would like to use again.
