This was my first stay here on the way back from a business trip.
My main reason for choosing the hotel was the newly opened large public bath. The facilities were new, spacious, and very relaxing.
With a 90°C sauna (self-service löyly), a cold bath around 15°C, a relaxation area with chairs lined up facing the wall, and hot-spring-style baths, it was more than satisfying for a business hotel’s public bath facilities.
The resting area with the chairs had dim lighting and felt very calm, but on the day I used it, the background music mainly consisted of anime songs and upbeat tracks by female groups, which felt a bit too lively for unwinding after the sauna. There were also displays about Hiratsuka’s history on the walls, and overall it was a comfortable space to spend time in.
It’s close to the station, surrounded by many restaurants, and there’s also a convenience store nearby—very convenient overall.
As others have mentioned in reviews, you can’t adjust the room air conditioner temperature (only fan strength), so it felt a little warm. I managed by opening the window for ventilation, but it might be tough during extremely hot weather.
There was quite a large gap under the room door, so outside noise carried in easily—I could hear conversations in the hallway fairly well—but since it was generally quiet overall, it didn’t interfere with my stay in the room.
Having a microwave in the room was very helpful.
