Stayed overnight at the accommodation for sightseeing in Matsushima during Golden Week.
The location is very close to Matsushima and also near Shiogama Fish Market.
I made a reservation for parking and breakfast in advance by phone. Despite it being Golden Week, there was available parking, which cost ¥400.
Breakfast was said to be ¥600.
On the day of arrival, the front desk staff kindly informed me: "Are you sure you want to have breakfast here? Most people usually eat at Shiogama Fish Market! Our breakfast is just natto and fish, so if you're paying ¥600, I think you'd enjoy a delicious meal at the fish market more!"
Although I had reserved breakfast in advance, they allowed me to cancel it on short notice without any issue. Their kindness didn’t stop there—there was an even bigger surprise!
I had reserved three rooms without baths or toilets: two for men and one for women. However, the hotel upgraded the women's room to one with a bath and toilet free of charge! It was such a thoughtful gesture that I truly appreciated.
The rooms also have Wi-Fi access! The hotel staff were incredibly kind as well.
