Due to heavy rain that day, parts of the Sanriku Expressway were closed, and we somehow managed to arrive without knowing that this Accommodation had also lost power. We later learned that the power outage meant the Accommodation’s landline was unavailable, so a front desk staff member tried to contact us from their mobile phone—but because it was an unfamiliar number, we accidentally blocked the call (we’re very sorry...). It seems they were calling to let us know that they might not be able to prepare dinner since our plan included breakfast and dinner. Even though other guests had eaten out for dinner, they kindly worked hard to prepare dinner for the two of us, which we truly appreciated. We are very sorry for the trouble.
The grilled hirasa served at dinner was especially delicious. The Room is old, but it was properly cleaned and comfortable.
We could only use Ono Kenko no Yu at night, so we used the indoor bath in the building in the morning; it was quite lukewarm, but there was a sauna, so we warmed up there before getting out (perhaps due to the power outage...).
Since we arrived in the evening, we first saw the view in the morning—there were beautiful wide-open pastures stretching out before us. Breakfast was also delicious, especially the milk and yogurt.
We would like to come again and take our time if we have another chance. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
