This was our first trip traveling with our dog. The Room was clean, the amenities were well stocked, and the food was very delicious. The staff were also kind to our dog. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

This stay reminded me how important the place you choose to stay can be when traveling. The facilities may not be more extensive than anywhere else, but it was a wonderful place where I truly felt the care and thoughtfulness for guests. I also came to love Shiga Prefecture and would like to visit again next time.

I stayed here during my Biwaichi trip. You can bring your bicycle into the room, and while you are in the room, you can also charge your e-bike battery. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant meals were also very delicious. The bath was comfortable as well. I’ll definitely stay here again for Biwaichi or other trips!

This was my first stay in Oku-Biwako. I was looking for a relaxing getaway close to Osaka and found this inn. The scenery of Oku-Biwako, which I was seeing for the first time, was truly soothing. Every dish was delicious, and I also enjoyed the beautiful tableware. I asked in advance whether ayu (sweetfish) would be included in the meal and was told it wouldn’t be available, but on the day they kindly changed part of the menu to grilled salted ayu, so I was able to enjoy it during my stay. The large public bath had clean face towels provided, so there was no need to worry about towels. From parking guidance to the dining staff, everyone worked efficiently and left a great impression. I’d love to visit again in another season to enjoy more great food.

I stayed here while doing the Biwaichi ride, but next time I’d like to visit with the sole purpose of staying here and enjoying the food—this was truly a wonderful inn. The room was clean and spacious. The tatami in the living area felt great on my tired legs after a long ride, and it was easy to stretch out and relax. I could even watch the sunset from the bath. It isn’t a hot spring, but the jet bath was so comfortable that I was completely satisfied. The bathroom floor was also gentle on bare feet, and even these small details made everything feel thoughtfully designed for comfort. The Simmons bed was very comfortable as well, and I slept soundly. Above all, the meals deserve special mention. The course centered on lake fish caught that day was outstanding—every dish was delicious and full of pleasant surprises. I had assumed freshwater fish might have a distinctive “fishy” taste, but I was genuinely impressed by how beautifully the natural flavors were brought out. Each dish reflected careful preparation and skillful cooking. While we enjoyed traditional dishes throughout, an unexpected dessert appeared at the end: vanilla ice cream made with rice used for funazushi! At first I couldn’t imagine what it would taste like, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious—an unforgettable specialty unique to this place. One note: our room was on the second floor and access is via stairs. If stairs are a concern, it may be best to ask before booking. They also offer private rental accommodations (a whole building), but since I didn’t see them myself, I can’t comment on any steps inside or how easy they are to move around. A comfortable room and cuisine that truly feels like something you can only experience here—what began as just one night along our journey became a cherished memory in itself. I’d love to return again.

Yukata were provided. If possible, I would have appreciated having loungewear in the Room as well. Breakfast was very disappointing, as most items seemed to be frozen foods that were simply reheated. The rice, however, was cooked in a pot and was very delicious. The staff member on the floor had a pleasant smile.

Arriving in Nagahama after sightseeing at Ishiyamadera past 5:30 PM and leaving the Hotel at 8 AM the next morning for the Chikubushima Cruise, we couldn't relax as much as we wanted. However, the Room was a beautifully renovated storehouse, providing a cozy and comfortable stay. Although we didn't have time to use the sauna, the large bathtub in the Room allowed us to unwind and recover from our travels. The Spanish bar recommended to us offered delicious wine and food, leaving us very satisfied. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The timing for clearing the dishes was very poor. Although I had informed you of my buckwheat allergy, it was very disappointing that you still tried to serve buckwheat. The food was very delicious and excellent. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a couple in our 50s. Rather than a Hotel, it feels more like a charming pension-style place, which suits it well. The front desk gave the impression that they may be operating more efficiently than before, and that’s perfectly fine. The staff were all ladies older than us, so the pace was a bit relaxed—but in an endearing way. It felt warm and comfortable. The Room was spacious, with Lake Biwa stretching out beyond the window. Since this area tends to feel cold, even in April they had a heater and blankets prepared. We chose the Omi beef steak course. From the photos I wondered if it might not be enough, but it was very filling and satisfying. For breakfast, we were happy to be able to choose either Japanese or Western style. The curry was especially delicious! The bath is not an Onsen, but it was kept very clean. We went to see the Osaki cherry blossoms by the inlet. Next time, I’d love to visit again during the season when the metasequoia trees are at their best.
