It was a wonderful Hotel that exuded classic history and elegance. Not only were the in-house Facilities excellent, but we were also truly impressed by the delicious cuisine and the breathtaking panoramic view over Toba Bay. Above all, the staff’s attentive care and warm hospitality were outstanding, allowing us to spend our entire stay in comfort and relaxation. At the club lounge, we enjoyed a leisurely time along with high-quality drinks and lounge-exclusive dishes. The cheesecake—so well known that people say “Toba International Hotel means cheesecake”—was indeed as delicious as its reputation suggests, adding a special touch to our stay. In addition, the “Pearl Aurora Bath” infused with pearl ingredients at Shiojitei on the grounds was exceptional; its shimmering water gently soothed away our travel fatigue. The food, location, bath, and service from the staff—everything made for a highly satisfying stay. This is a truly wonderful Hotel that we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The thoughtfully prepared cuisine was astonishingly delicious, and my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful trip that left us genuinely satisfied. Each time we experienced your warm smiles and refined service, we felt deeply happy and thought, “We’re so glad we chose to stay here.” I was truly moved by what can only be described as a “happiness-producing Hotel” that brings smiles to guest after guest. What makes your Hotel so exceptional is your challenging spirit—never settling for the current appeal, but always striving to create new moments of inspiration. As a devoted fan of Toba Grand Hotel—and as “Donguri Captain”—please allow me to share a few ideas with heartfelt appreciation: 1) Extend lounge hours (until 11:00 p.m.) Spending time in that sophisticated lounge is truly special. If guests could enjoy complimentary drinks until 11:00 p.m., the evening would become an even more memorable experience. 2) Revitalize the retro game arcade & festival-style corner If an energetic “festival corner” were added to that nostalgic and welcoming game arcade area, it would surely become a signature spot where both adults and children—across generations—could have an amazing time together! 3) Seasonal limited-time “all-you-can-eat fruit” buffet feature For example, “all-you-can-eat strawberries” in early spring or “all-you-can-eat melon” in summer. Having seasonal highlight events at the buffet would help attract repeat guests throughout the year and generate even more buzz—I’m confident it would be a great success. Of course, I fully understand that your staff’s working environment and operational considerations must come first. With that in mind, I would be grateful if you might keep these ideas in mind simply as one fan’s dream of “how wonderful it would be if this became possible.” With Toba Grand Hotel’s potential—and the passion of your entire team—I truly believe you will continue to be the region’s undisputed number-one Hotel. We stayed for our wedding anniversary with a Plan where we went fishing and the head chef prepared the fish we caught. We had such a wonderful time, and it was an Accommodation that made us truly glad we chose it for our anniversary. First, the atmosphere of the Room was fantastic, and it was lovely that you can see the ocean from every Room. It felt great to relax while gazing out at the sea from our Room. While fishing, we caught a fairly large fish that we both said might be a conger eel. We never expected it to be pike conger, so we were surprised when we found out later (laugh). If you bring the fish you catch back to the Accommodation by the designated time, the head chef will turn it into one dish for dinner. This time, our pike conger was served as a dish layering zucchini tempura and pike conger tempura, with ume plum paste and salt on the side. The flesh was incredibly fluffy and delicious. I think what makes this Plan special is being able to have “the fish we caught ourselves turned into such a wonderful dish.” It also became an unexpected travel memory. For dinner, I had mentioned in advance that I’m not good with raw fish, so they cooked mine through. They prepared it in ways that suited each type of fish—grilled or lightly seared—so I could enjoy everything deliciously. What left an especially strong impression was how attentive the staff were. They cleared away an egg-and-soy dipping sauce that came with sashimi once, but later my husband and I mentioned that since there would be udon at the end after Matsusaka beef shabu-shabu, “We should have kept that egg-and-soy sauce.” Then they brought us a fresh serving of egg-and-soy sauce, which made us very happy. It felt like they even noticed our small conversation; not only was the food excellent, but their thoughtfulness really stood out. During our stay there was also a group visiting from overseas, but because dining areas were separated, it never felt noisy and we could enjoy our meal at ease. The baths were also very spacious and well equipped—sauna; open-air bath; cold bath; jacuzzi; standing bath; and more. It was so nice that we wanted to go in again and again during our stay. The Room, cuisine, baths—and above all the considerate care from everyone on staff—were all completely satisfying. It became a wonderful stay worthy of our wedding anniversary. This is an Accommodation where we’d love to stay again for another special occasion.

Perhaps because the season was just right, it felt great to walk barefoot along the corridors. I used the large public bath three times, and each time I had it all to myself, so I could truly relax. The bath in the room was also very relaxing. The meals were delicious and served in satisfying portions that left me pleasantly full. Dinner was especially good—the green onion and pork shabu-shabu was excellent. At breakfast, the Spanish mackerel was thick and flavorful.

The building is spread out horizontally, so depending on where your Room is located, it can be quite a walk to the restaurant, baths, and lobby. Other than that, there were no particular issues or complaints. It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Although the large public bath is not an Onsen, it offers three different water temperatures (high/medium/low) and water types, plus a carbonated bath. Other guests also mentioned that it might be more effective than some Onsen. The restaurant (buffet-style) had a wide variety of dishes, and the staff were excellent—one thoughtful touch was that they even informed us that ice cream could be taken back to our Room. I believe drinks inside the facility were reasonably priced as well—for example, a 350 ml can of beer was 350 yen. The souvenir shop opens from 7:30 a.m. It has a great selection, and you can probably find most things you need there.

I chose this Accommodation because I was planning to stay near Cape Irago for a motorcycle event. As others have written, the food is unquestionably delicious and plentiful. I was especially satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the sashimi. They served many other dishes as well, but I still felt full from the Iekei ramen I had for lunch, so I couldn’t finish the simmered fish or the hot pot—and that was truly disappointing because everything tasted so good. Next time I stay, I think I should skip lunch. Since we were leaving early the next day, I couldn’t eat breakfast, which was a shame, but the rice balls they prepared for us were very tasty—so it made me think breakfast must have been great too... The bath was out of order, so we used a day-use bath at a Hotel about a 10-minute walk away. I was tired and would have preferred using the Accommodation’s bath, but the Hotel’s large public bath felt great as well, so overall it balanced out and I gave 4 stars. I heard our Room would be on the third floor and thought climbing stairs might be tough, but there was an elevator, which was reassuring. The Room being a Japanese-style room felt comfortable for me. The toilet and sink area seemed to have been renovated; they were bright and clean—and of course there was a washlet toilet seat. Since we’re coming from Kyushu, it’s not easy to visit without a motorcycle event, but if there’s another opportunity, I’d like to stay again.

This hotel has a wonderful view. The staff were very attentive, and the food was delicious. Feeding the black kites was exciting and fun—the number of birds coming for food and their speed were truly impressive.

We stayed here with four adults—my parents and us as a couple. This was our second visit, and we were able to relax thanks to the seasonal cuisine and wide selection of drinks. Since everyone has different preferences, the all-inclusive plan made it easy for all of us to enjoy both the meals and the baths, making it a truly wonderful trip.

It was our first couple's trip in over twenty years without the kids. We visited with the intention of enjoying delicious food and leisurely drinks, and it was the perfect choice. All the dishes were very tasty, and the balance between French and Japanese cuisine was excellent, which made the sparkling wine and sake go down smoothly. The staff's service and their explanations about the drinks were wonderfully enjoyable. For breakfast, we had the rare truffle kamameshi, which was delightful as it was cooked to match our timing. The beautifully presented salad was also delicious, leaving both our eyes and stomachs satisfied. Since it was a weekday during the off-season, I was able to enjoy the enchanting outdoor jacuzzi at night all by myself. The purpose of the trip was to relax together, and everything from the compactness of the Hotel to the food and service was comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you very much. On our way back, we talked about how we are interested in trying the Asian cuisine next time.

After visiting Ise Shrine, we came here via the Ise Bay Ferry. Even before docking, the stately white building stands out, and you can tell it’s been well maintained without showing its age. Although strong winds were blowing due to a typhoon, the outside noise was minimal and we slept soundly. Breakfast was a mix of Japanese and Western dishes; the scrambled eggs and overnight-dried blackthroat seaperch were especially delicious and memorable. Given that it was peak season during Silver Week, we were truly satisfied with the quality—thank you very much.

I took my sister and her husband to Shinojima… It happened to coincide with heavy rain in the Tokai region, but on Shinojima we didn’t need umbrellas, and the morning sun reflecting on the sea was beautiful. The Accommodation is located at the far end of the island, but they provide smooth Shuttle Service both ways. After arriving, we enjoyed a walk along the beach and visited temples, and the next morning we spent time exploring the hill behind the property. The bath was private. A tatami-mat bath is rare. The entire building also has tatami flooring, which feels calm and relaxing. The soothing sound of the waves was very healing as well. My sister and her husband love seafood, and they were delighted with both breakfast and dinner. We made wonderful memories! Thank you very much!

The building is old but kept clean, so there were no issues. The bath includes an open-air bath where you can relax while enjoying the night sky and ocean in a private setting. Dinner was very hearty, featuring Chita beef, Ise lobster, sashimi, sushi, and octopus rice—truly satisfying. The buffet-style breakfast was also delicious. The staff at the accommodation were extremely kind. The fluffy and warm futon was excellent as well. The return shuttle service felt like a thrilling roller coaster ride! I had a wonderful time and fully enjoyed my stay. I would love to come back again. Thank you very much!

The food, the Room, and the warm hospitality from the Hotel staff were all wonderful—we were completely satisfied. Everything we ate was delicious. The spiny lobster sashimi and assorted fish sashimi were very fresh and truly excellent. The Matsusaka beef was amazing, the abalone was delicious, and all of the other dishes were great as well. It felt very luxurious. The breakfast horse mackerel mirin-dried fish was tender and incredibly tasty, and even the seaweed—smoked over charcoal—was thoughtfully prepared. The complimentary breakfast coffee service was also excellent. The coffee machine was a De’Longhi. In the Room, there was a De’Longhi Icona kettle, Narumi coffee saucers, and quality sweets (Shell Raines)—everything provided was top-notch. We were able to relax in our guest Room with an open-air bath. With an ocean view and the sound of the waves, we enjoyed a truly special escape from everyday life. Thank you as well for responding so quickly to an unexpected issue. We learned a lot about true hospitality here. We would love to visit again.
