We stayed here on a family trip with my parents. The Room was spacious and airy, and the greenery visible from the window was truly beautiful—so we were able to relax from the moment we arrived. This time we stayed in two Rooms, “Sono Ichi” and “Sono Yon,” and both had large baths and were wonderful spaces where we could unwind completely. The staff’s thoughtfulness also left a strong impression. They responded attentively whenever needed, while maintaining a comfortable sense of distance that never felt intrusive. They warmly celebrated my mother’s birthday, which made my parents very happy. They even sent a forgotten item to our home, and we remained grateful until the very end of our stay. The meals were unforgettable as well. The cutlet was light yet full of rich lean-meat flavor, and absolutely delicious. And the ayu sweetfish was so good that everyone in our family agreed it was the best ayu we had ever had. From the Room and bath to the food and hospitality, everything was flawless. Thank you for making our precious family trip even more special.

As a couple in our 40s, we visited to unwind and enjoy some quiet time away from everyday fatigue. We chose a Room with a balcony so we could relax and watch the sky… but across from us, the torn shoji screens of what seemed to be a Hotel that is no longer operating were visible… at night it felt a bit like a test of courage, so we couldn’t go out… lol. Other than that, the food and baths were wonderful, and there was absolutely no sense of crowds—choosing this small Accommodation was exactly the right decision. After dinner, we went to the riverside about a 5-minute walk away, and it happened to be firefly season. We were both thrilled to see real fireflies for the first time…! The whole village was quiet, and compared with Tokyo it was cool in the mornings and evenings. In the morning we enjoyed a gentle-on-the-body, delicious breakfast. We truly felt refreshed from the bottom of our hearts. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

This was a truly wonderful Accommodation—one I’d absolutely love to return to! Both the exterior and interior were beautifully maintained, with tasteful decor and a very comfortable atmosphere. With pet-friendly Accommodations, you can sometimes notice odors in the Room, but that wasn’t the case here at all. The cleaning was impeccable, and everything felt extremely fresh and spotless—you wouldn’t even guess pets are welcome. Because of that, it also made me feel we should be extra mindful of good manners (such as using dog diapers) so everyone can enjoy their stay comfortably. The meals were delicious as well—gently seasoned so you can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and you could tell each dish was prepared with great care. The signature French toast in particular was outstanding! It’s something I highly recommend trying. Above all, the owner’s warm personality made our stay even more special—we were genuinely happy to be welcomed so kindly. Both the indoor bath and outdoor bath were great, and we were able to relax deeply. We had such a pleasant time with our dog; the food was excellent; and the owner was wonderful. It was an incredibly comfortable Accommodation. Thank you very much. We’d love to stay again!

It was excellent. The meals were delicious. The Onsen was free-flowing from the source, and the water temperature was just right.

I stayed for two nights after a long time. On the second night, I had the “Shinpu” course dinner at the restaurant. The food and service were excellent when I visited before, and that memory stayed with me—this time was just as satisfying. The dishes were truly delicious and outstanding, and the service was also impressive with wonderful hospitality. Maintaining such high quality in both cuisine and service must take great effort, but thanks to you, I was able to make another great new memory. Thank you to the chef and all the staff. Thank you as well to everyone outside the restaurant. I would love to stay again.

It was my first time staying at an all-inclusive Hotel, and I was truly impressed by how outstanding and delicious the food was. The staff were also very helpful and responded quickly to any questions, which I really appreciated. I would like to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

Once again, we had a wonderful stay in a Room with an open-air bath. The Room has beds, and at the back there is a spacious armchair where you can sit and relax while looking out at the garden. I was able to unwind there with tea or by reading quietly. With the bed right there, it was also comforting to be able to lie down and rest whenever I wanted. Last time we stayed over New Year’s with family, but this time it was lovely to enjoy the garden as it shifted from summer into autumn while soaking in the open-air bath in the Room. Sanraku is also well known for its baths; in particular, the open-air Onsen lets you feel nature’s breeze and soak amid mountain scenery—one of its greatest highlights. As for the cuisine, there has been a change of head chef, and it brought a refreshing new touch to the menu. While retaining Sanraku’s attentive seasonal Japanese cuisine, I could sense new ideas being introduced, with freshly prepared dishes served thoughtfully so guests never grow tired of dining here. Our attendant provided detailed explanations of each dish and offered warm hospitality. An attendant who had looked after us previously also took the time to greet us. The front desk and welcoming staff remembered our previous stay as well, making this an Onsen Ryokan where you can truly relax with peace of mind. I sincerely hope that such a hospitable Japanese Ryokan will continue its history for many years to come. As an IKYU Diamond member benefit, we received half a bottle of wine and shopping vouchers—great value tickets that could be used both for drinks at meals and for souvenirs. This is a Ryokan I would love to visit again.

The bath was excellent. The staff were very courteous, and I would like to stay again. If I had to mention one drawback, there are many stairs, so I would appreciate a ramp.

We stayed as a three-generation family of six. Since it was the Obon holiday period, we expected crowds everywhere, but unlike a Hotel, it was much quieter than we imagined and we were able to relax and enjoy a truly wonderful time. The interior has high ceilings and feels very open, and it was spacious enough for six adults to stay comfortably. Because of the typhoon, it got so chilly at night that we turned on the heater, but the air conditioning worked well and kept us comfortable. The Onsen was also delightful, and the beautiful greenery visible from the window was very soothing. This time we ate out for dinner, but next time we’d like to use the hot plate and enjoy cooking together indoors. (One of us doesn’t like insects, so we’re glad we didn’t do a terrace BBQ. There were no bugs inside.) We also really appreciated having a washing machine (with dryer function) and detergent provided—it was extremely helpful when we suddenly needed to do laundry. Our parents were very happy as well and are already saying they want to come again, so we would love to visit again. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!!

Because the property is operated by a small team, there were a few minor things I noticed, but the meals were delicious and served in just the right portions, and I was able to enjoy the bath to my satisfaction with a Reservation. I’d love to come back in autumn to see the fall foliage.

We stayed for one night with my daughter’s family, our grandchildren, and our Chihuahua. The Room was clean and spacious, and the kids and our Chihuahua were running around happily!! We were very satisfied to enjoy a BBQ on the covered terrace without worrying about the weather. Breakfast arrived warm in the delivery box, so we could eat right away—and it was delicious! The bathroom was also spacious, and we all enjoyed it together. Unfortunately, it rained so we couldn’t use the dog run, but we’d love to come back and try again! We’ll definitely stay again as a family.

First time visiting. All the staff were kind and courteous, and check-in was quick, so we were able to get into our Room early and relax. The steak and roast beef set meal brought to our Room was very delicious. In the morning, we also enjoyed breakfast, including egg dishes such as a tasty omelet. The large public bath and open-air bath felt too hot for me. Even the indoor bath somehow felt a bit hot as well. There was also a sauna and cold plunge pool, so we were able to enjoy the Onsen. Although the facilities are old, they are well maintained, and we could feel thoughtful attention to detail everywhere.

I’ve stayed here several times. The Room is wonderful—clean, comfortable, and easy to use—and the view is amazing. The Hotel staff provide exceptionally high-quality service, making it a very relaxing place to stay. The dinner and breakfast buffet are outstanding; everything is truly delicious. It’s far beyond typical buffet food! This time as well, the staff provided memorable service, and I’m truly grateful. I will definitely come again. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful, very comfortable Accommodation. The Room layout and atmosphere were excellent, and simply gazing at the forest view from the window was soothing—I lost track of time. The in-room Onsen was easy to use, and the water temperature was perfect whenever I bathed. The staff who assisted us were also wonderful. The meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. I would love to stay again in a different season.

I was truly soothed by the open-air bath attached to my Room. Listening to the evening cicadas and feeling the breeze, I enjoyed soaking in the Onsen with an indescribable sense of calm. I would love to visit again when I return to Japan. Some of the staff were international, but everyone spoke Japanese very well, which made me feel at ease. Thank you very much.

We were able to stay with our dog and had a wonderful time. The meals were delicious, and the golf course greens viewed from the Hotel were dazzling.

On my first trip to Nasu-Shiobara, I stayed at Laforet and was able to relax in a Hotel set in a wonderful natural environment. The Shuttle Service driver and the front desk staff were very helpful, and the meals were delicious with a well-balanced menu. The staff who served the food also had excellent manners, which made the experience even more pleasant. The sulfur bath soothed my fatigue. The room was well cleaned and maintained, and I was satisfied with everything at an affordable price.

We chose the seasonal activity “YATAI to FARM.” In the morning, we met at the farm, harvested our own vegetables, and the chef grilled them on a teppan right there. They also grilled pork outdoors with 15 different spices. The maitake risotto made with rice grown on-site was outstanding as well. From harvesting vegetables to the meal service, we were truly impressed by the chefs who cooked at a food stall just for us. Although there was occasional light rain, brunch surrounded by nature became an unforgettable memory. Highly recommended!

A unique accommodation where you can enjoy a campfire. The Tenger Stay offers an extraordinary experience, perfect for escaping the ordinary. We recommend renting traditional Mongolian attire for an added touch. The meals exceeded expectations and were very delicious. At night, you can enjoy a short horsehead fiddle performance (about 30 minutes). The bath is a large public bath, and the Onsen's quality left the skin feeling moisturized. Basic skincare products from Sekkisei are available here. Please note that there is no toilet in the room, and it requires a short walk, which might be inconvenient for those who need frequent access. However, hygiene was not an issue. Sandals are provided in the Ger, so there's no need to wear shoes inside. The staff were all very friendly and provided excellent hospitality. I would love to visit again in a different season.
