The Onsen water was excellent, and the meals were more than satisfying. Although this is a long-established Ryokan, it doesn’t feel overly formal, and the check-in guidance was efficient and pleasant. With a good balance between service, Facility quality, and price, I think this Accommodation can satisfy most types of guests. There are three main bathing areas, each offering different spring qualities with free-flowing hot spring water. I especially liked the bath called “Saru-no-Yu.” It’s a large Ryokan, but the Onsen is so good that even hot-spring enthusiasts should be satisfied. The dining area is also very spacious; we were told all 96 rooms were fully booked on our stay, but at the times we went for dinner and breakfast it felt relaxed, with only about half of the tables in use. There is also a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, so guests who enjoy alcohol should have plenty to choose from.

As usual, I stayed here with my mother. It was very helpful that we didn’t have to walk much inside the Accommodation, and could use the elevator to get to the large public bath, dining room, and lounge. The interior has a calming feel, and the Room was comfortable to spend time in. The food was delicious; the buffet had a good selection without being overwhelming, and the freshly made tempura was excellent. It wasn’t too large, which made it easy for my mother as well. Since we had a long stay until 1:00 PM, we were truly able to relax. I’d love to visit again.

We enjoyed delicious cuisine and the Onsen, making for a fun and wonderful summer vacation. The 30-tatami Room we used for the first time was also impressive. We also enjoyed Aizu’s local specialties, including Kozuyu and dried cod (bo-dara).

Although it was a last-minute trip, we had a very comfortable stay at this Hotel. The dinner buffet was excellent—Aizu local specialties and everything else were all delicious. My husband said it was the best buffet of any Hotel we have stayed at while traveling. The bath was also spacious and clean. We had a wonderful stay.

The dishes made with local Aizu ingredients were truly delicious. Both the large public bath overlooking the river and the in-Room bath were very relaxing.

The Room was assigned at the property’s discretion, but it was a perfectly nice Room. I felt very satisfied for such a reasonable price. They walked around serving freshly grilled food, and they also took a family photo for us at the table. There was a manga corner, so we enjoyed ourselves without getting bored.

My daughter, who lives far away, was able to come home during the holiday weekend, so we stayed on 9/20 during Silver Week. We originally had another hotel booked and planned to go grape picking in Fukushima and then head to Morioka, but with the typhoon making the weather uncertain, we kept looking until the last minute for something closer. When a room with a private open-air bath became available, we quickly booked here. Since our family travels everywhere by car, changing our plans gave us extra time. We arrived early and were about to take a walk nearby when the parking staff recommended some spots for us. The footbath was wonderful. The private open-air bath in the room doesn’t have a washing area, but it wasn’t an issue at all—just wash first at the large public bath or in the indoor bath in the room. Dinner and breakfast are buffet-style. When traveling as a family of four, we usually choose buffet hotels, so we really appreciate Itoen Hotel for its reasonable pricing. Some people have various opinions about the food, but if you search under the same conditions (a room with a private open-air bath), most places cost about twice as much or more than Itoen Hotel. If you’re unhappy, you simply need to increase your budget. The Tsukimi fair set dishes and—during Silver Week—the bluefin tuna and roast beef sushi were especially popular. The ramen was also delicious; since this is Fukushima, maybe it had a Kitakata-style soup? Our family was very satisfied. Because of the typhoon we decided to relax at the hotel: soaking in the hot springs many times, eating until we were full, winning prizes in the game corner, and having fun playing table tennis. We had a great time. Since I booked in such a rush, I caused trouble due to my own mistake—I’m sorry about that. Also after checking out and leaving, we realized my daughter’s important item was missing. When we turned back and returned to the hotel, you immediately found it (it was at the shop), which truly helped us so much. Thank you very much for your support. My first time in Aizu-Wakamatsu! This Accommodation was high quality for the price. Unfortunately, it poured with heavy rain, so the stargazing open-air bath was a downpour. I must have made my Reservation too late, and could only book the earliest morning slot. This time we chose a package that included this bath, but the private-use fee of 4,400 yen felt a bit expensive. The meals were delicious, mainly featuring local Aizu cuisine. One small disappointment was that the rice I had been looking forward to was mushy and not very tasty. The staff’s hospitality was excellent. Overall, it was a good Accommodation.

The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and I was able to unwind and enjoy a peaceful stay. I also appreciated that it is free-flowing from the source and available 24 hours a day. The water temperature was just right, and it left my skin feeling silky smooth. We had dinner on a riverside dining platform, and it was wonderful to enjoy the scenery and the sound of the flowing river while eating. The meal was delicious and had a great seasonal feel. The staff were courteous, which made the stay very comfortable. I would love to return if I have the chance.

It was a very nice Room, and we enjoyed the meals as well. However, there was one thing that concerned us: when the toilet paper ran out, we tried to replace it with a spare roll but couldn’t. We were very disappointed, perhaps because some guests take it home.

I stayed with the No Meals Included plan. As it was the off-season, I was able to stay at a very reasonable price. The building is old, but it has been nicely renovated. Since it was a discounted Room, I could hear some plumbing noise, but if you just want to enjoy the Onsen and sleep, this Accommodation is more than satisfactory.

As a travel-loving couple, we’ve recently been taking trips where we stay at a Hotel and eat at local restaurants, so this was our first Ryokan stay in a while. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the bath, and the food—and were able to relax and take our time. The Room was honestly too spacious for just two of us, but every space—the Japanese-style room, Western-style room, and bedroom—had its own charm and was wonderful. The bed was also extremely comfortable, and we slept soundly. We also enjoyed the Bluetooth speaker in the Western-style room; it had great sound quality and created an atmosphere that felt like being in a bar. The open-air bath in the Room had continuously flowing natural hot spring water, so we could soak right away after arriving and truly unwind. Dinner featured locally produced Aizu cuisine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The recommended sake was delicious as well, and it was nice to be able to ask casually for suggestions while choosing. The pricing also felt very reasonable overall. If I had to mention one thing, breakfast was slightly disappointing: refills of rice or tea had to be requested via the in-room phone, and they took quite a while to arrive—so it would have been better if tea had been left in a pot. We were happy with the service too, and would love to visit again if we have the chance.

Onsen and breakfast are perfect. There are many types of mochi available. Honestly, every breakfast item was delicious.
