Considering the price, everything was acceptable. However, this isn’t the Hotel’s fault, but by 5 p.m. almost everything in the tourist area—including restaurants—was closed. The downside was that once it got dark, there was little choice but to spend time in the Room. I suppose there must be some kind of agreement among the local merchants.

This was our first trip traveling with our dog. The Room was clean, the amenities were well stocked, and the food was very delicious. The staff were also kind to our dog. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

The reservation was for the main building, but it was incorrect, so it was changed to the annex.

I chose this hotel because it is close to the Chikubu Island cruise boarding point, and both the Italian dinner and the Japanese-Western breakfast buffet were delicious. From the pickup at the station to sightseeing guidance after checkout, your attentive hospitality and thoughtful care made our stay truly comfortable. Thank you very much. This was my first stay, and everything was wonderful—the warm hospitality from the staff, the meals, and the Onsen. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as providing fireworks. The Room was spacious and relaxing as well. If I had one request, since guests move around the entire property in socks or barefoot, it would be nice to have slippers available. Other than that, I was very satisfied and would love to stay again when traveling to Lake Biwa next time.

I found Sugatani Onsen while looking for an Accommodation where I could stay with my pet, without knowing the name beforehand. It was very comfortable. I brought pet pads, but if possible, I would like you to provide some spares. There is no need to lay out the futon during meals; I worry my dog might bark, so it makes me more concerned. The air conditioner noise felt a little loud. The meals were very delicious. It is a quiet location away from the crowds.

I called to ask about the typhoon, but I was able to stay without any issues! I really appreciated your kind and wonderful support. I would definitely like to visit again!

As it was summer vacation, it was much more crowded than last time. Even so, the staff were very courteous and helpful. I wish the lounge had been open without a break, and I would have appreciated it if the large public bath had been available until 11:00 a.m. Guests can use the parking lot for up to 30 hours for 500 yen, so we left our car there after check-out, walked to Nagahama Port, and took the ferry to Chikubushima Island. We had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

Excellent value for money. The Onsen was satisfying, and the Room was very clean. The welcome drink system was great, and the staff were pleasant. Breakfast was also delicious. It was a bit disappointing that the toilet in the Room was small.

This was my first time staying at a container Hotel, and it was surprisingly comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the large-screen TV was impressive. The Room had the air conditioner on, so it stayed cool. One light meal was included, and we could choose from five options. Since two of us stayed, we chose the “European-style curry bento” and the “Chicken and lotus root bento.” The other options were meat sauce pasta, yaki udon, and beef pilaf. Both meals were delicious.

Thank you for hosting us during our summer vacation. I believe the property may have originally operated as a different type of business. However, the Room was spacious and the meals were delicious. We were very satisfied. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

Used for Biwaichi. The smell of the futon (like an old man?) and stains on the sheets were very noticeable. The owner was very friendly and kind. The Room had a retro feel with a stunning lake view! It was so wonderful overall, but the bedding issue was quite disappointing.

The timing for clearing the dishes was very poor. Although I had informed you of my buckwheat allergy, it was very disappointing that you still tried to serve buckwheat. The food was very delicious and excellent. Thank you very much.

The natural Biwamasu trout, proof of its orange color from feasting on plenty of shrimp! It's incredibly delicious!! Served as sashimi, grilled, fried, and more in generous portions. Living in the Kanto region makes it hard to visit often, but next time I’d love to try the eel hot pot (Jun-Jun). Thank you so much to everyone at the accommodation for your hospitality.

The dinner was impressively elaborate. It was incredibly delicious, and I believe staying here was worth it just for the meal.

Arriving in Nagahama after sightseeing at Ishiyamadera past 5:30 PM and leaving the Hotel at 8 AM the next morning for the Chikubushima Cruise, we couldn't relax as much as we wanted. However, the Room was a beautifully renovated storehouse, providing a cozy and comfortable stay. Although we didn't have time to use the sauna, the large bathtub in the Room allowed us to unwind and recover from our travels. The Spanish bar recommended to us offered delicious wine and food, leaving us very satisfied. We wish we could have stayed longer!

I stayed for one weekday night with the No Meals Included plan while sightseeing by car. Perhaps because it’s new, the Room was clean and comfortable. The toilet and unit bath were also spotless, and I liked that I could make coffee freely at the front desk as many times as I wanted. The complimentary frozen meal was a nice touch, too. There is no loaner phone charger, so be careful not to forget yours! The window seemed to be only for ventilation—a tall frosted glass panel—so there was no view from the Room. It was great value and easy to stay without any fuss, so I’d definitely choose it again next time.

I decided to stay around Lake Biwa during a touring trip. After I made a Reservation, I was told it has the same owner as Kosō-an on the shores of Lake Biwa, and that I could stay there instead—so I did. *Sorry this is not a Review of the kura. It was unique: an Accommodation made by renovating an old train car. The lake was right in front of me, and the sunset was beautiful—it became a day to remember. From evening, it was wonderful to just relax and watch the sunset, then unwind while watching YouTube. Meals and bathing were at the super sento downstairs. The owner was very kind, which was truly soothing. In the morning, I enjoyed views of Lake Biwa from the window and had breakfast—also exceptional. Some Reviews here are low, but on another site the ratings aren’t low, so I don’t think there’s any issue. If you want an unforgettable stay rather than just a comfortable one, this place will really appeal to you.
