We were worried that the earthquake might have caused damage, but when we asked in advance, we were told there was no particular impact and that we could feel at ease, so we decided to visit. The area around Aso was cooler than Kumamoto City and very comfortable. For the open-air bath in the Room, they showed us how to fill it with Onsen water when showing us around, and since it is available 24 hours a day, we were able to enjoy a relaxing soak at night and again in the morning. This time we chose a Plan with breakfast only, but there were many small dishes beautifully arranged and pleasing to the eye, and the rice cooked in a pot was also very delicious. This is an Accommodation we would like to visit again for a relaxing stay.

Thanks to the warm hospitality of the Gold Lounge staff, we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The pool area with its breathtaking views was also wonderful, and we fully enjoyed everything—scenery, dining, and relaxation. This time we stayed with relatives and had a great time at the Gold Lounge while enjoying champagne. Thank you for the wonderful memories. We would love to visit again.

It was a wonderful experience. Thank you to all the Hotel staff. I was worried about the weather, but we were able to enjoy stargazing as planned. They also adjusted the dinner time, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy everything at a leisurely pace—truly Aman quality. The Japanese-inspired cuisine was, of course, delicious. Even the great-tasting coffee showed how much attention is paid to every detail. Above all, the hospitality of every staff member supported and elevated our stay into something truly memorable. We stopped by the thermal spring around checkout time, but the sidewalk had become so hot in the sun that it was impossible to walk on. This is definitely something to visit after late afternoon. Next time, I’ll enjoy it with a Multiple Night Stay. Personally, I love Hawaii, and there’s nothing better than having a beer alone on the balcony at dawn—but drinking coffee while looking out over Ago Bay from my Room at Amanemu surpassed even that. I’ll be back.

This was about my fourth visit, and it had been a while since the last time, but once again I had a thoroughly satisfying stay in every respect. As it was just the beginning of September, we were served dobin-mushi and matsutake mushroom rice, allowing us to enjoy the flavors of autumn a little early. Everything was delicious. The Room was spotless, and the entire property felt clean and well maintained. Above all, every staff member was polite and composed; meals were served at just the right time, and they always seemed to be attentively looking out for guests in a natural way. It made for a truly comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

I stayed here at the end of my trip to Hokkaido. The places I stayed before were wonderful as well, but this Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel was outstanding. Every dish at the buffet was delicious. I wanted to try more, but I got full and couldn’t eat everything, which I still regret a little. The kamameshi rice was especially good, and the meat was excellent too—in fact, everything I tried tasted great. When I went to the Onsen early in the morning (just after 5 a.m.), I saw staff baking bread. I had some at breakfast, and it was also very tasty. The moor Onsen had a gentle natural scent and a wonderfully silky feel on the skin; one night wasn’t enough. This time I couldn’t take my time sightseeing around Tokachi, so I would love to come back again next year. More than anything, what left me with such a great impression of the Hotel was an employee at the souvenir shop “Tamatebako.” The trainee wearing a training name badge had an amazing smile and provided excellent service. When I told them how pleasant they were, they responded with another lovely smile. Of course it comes down to personal qualities as well, but it also made me feel that the Hotel’s management philosophy must be excellent for staff like this to grow here. All of the other staff were wonderful too, and it reminded me that not only the Onsen and food but also people’s hospitality is what truly shapes a trip. Thank you for helping me make such great memories—I would like to stay again next year as well.

A few days before my stay, I emailed to check on the impact of the heavy rain, and received a courteous reply with detailed information, which reassured me and allowed me to stay with peace of mind. The dining staff casually shared helpful updates, and the next morning provided even more detailed information. Every staff member was pleasant without being overly formal, making my stay very comfortable.

I stayed here for my birthday and wanted to treat myself a little. The Room was well kept, and above all, the meals were delicious (a bit generous in portion size, though). The best part was being able to enjoy freshly baked bread at breakfast. The view from the balcony also gave me time to forget everyday life. And most of all, the Hotel staff provided polished, kind, and courteous service that made me want to come back whenever I feel like treating myself again. Perfect in every way!!! I have stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan with ocean views, but this was one of the most memorable. The views from the Room and the open-air bath were outstanding—thanks to the Hotel’s hilltop location with nothing obstructing the scenery, as well as the serene beauty of the Seto Inland Sea itself. There are very few man-made structures nearby, and the landscape created by the scattered islands is truly stunning. In the distance, we could see bridges of the Shimanami Kaido and parts of Imabari’s townscape, while boats passing below from time to time added a lovely touch to the view. I felt this Hotel is well worth staying at even just to relax and take in this scenery. Because it was listed as “Casual” on IKYU, I initially imagined a standard Hotel that simply highlights its views. In reality, however, we experienced warm, unpretentious hospitality from all staff members. Dinner was not a typical set menu; it showed thoughtful creativity throughout and was delicious. Breakfast was buffet-style, and in particular, I still remember how wonderful the locally harvested blueberries were. This time we rented a car at Hiroshima Station: on our first night we stayed at a Ryokan on Etajima; on day two we toured Takehara before taking a ferry over and enjoying beautiful Setouchi island views from Mount Kamimine prior to check-in. The next day we visited Okunoshima to spend time with its rabbits, then headed home via Mihara to Hiroshima Airport. The Hotel was also extremely convenient as a base for sightseeing routes starting from Hiroshima City toward Kure, Takehara, and Mihara—and we were fully satisfied with every aspect: scenery, dining, and hospitality.

Having stayed at retreat Hotels all over the whole country, I found this Retreat Onko Chishin to be outstanding in every way. The Room, bath, meals and drinks, and hospitality all delivered a high level of satisfaction, making for a truly pleasant stay. This Hotel has been reborn through the renovation of an existing Hotel, and the quality of the renovation and overall atmosphere were excellent.

We stayed for 2 nights in a 2-bedroom Room. Everything was impeccably clean, and even though I really dislike insects, I could enjoy the outdoor pool with peace of mind. At night we swam while looking at the stars; early in the morning we watched the sunrise from the rooftop; and in the evening we enjoyed a beautiful sunset—an even more wonderful experience than we imagined. The sea right in front of us was also shallow and crystal clear, and we were able to see lots of small fish. We had an amazing time by the ocean. There were plenty of drinks stocked in the refrigerator, and they even replenished them—we truly appreciated it. For breakfast, we used meal vouchers and had French toast from a food truck brought to our Room. It was delicious. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We would love to come back again!

The ocean view from our Room and from the large public bath was especially beautiful and memorable. By chance, we were able to see fireworks, which delighted our granddaughter. We stayed here a few years ago, and returned again because my husband said he “definitely wants to come back.” The welcome sweets—warabi mochi—were so delicious that we bought some as souvenirs. The tatami flooring in the corridors and even inside the elevator was very comfortable, and the open-air bath felt like soaking right in a Japanese garden. Dinner was excellent; we asked for a smaller portion, but it was more than enough. The Room was spacious, and the sunlit table by the window being a sunken kotatsu made it especially relaxing. Many Accommodations ask guests to bring towels from their Room to the public bath, so being able to go empty-handed felt wonderful. Breakfast was also very tasty. We had planned to leave at a leisurely pace, but there were thunderstorms and heavy rain from midnight onward, and we ended up driving for two hours through an intense rain band on our way home. Afterward we saw news about flooding, and we’re worried whether there was any damage to the Hotel or surrounding area. We’re already talking about coming again during apple season.
