Among the dinner and breakfast buffets, the salad vegetables, Jersey milk, and desserts such as milk pudding were especially delicious. I was disappointed that I couldn’t try everything. In the lobby, a wood-burning stove was lit even in summer, and the crackling sound was very soothing. Although I didn’t try it myself, families with children were roasting marshmallows on skewers over the stove. It was a relaxing one-night, two-day stay for both body and mind.

Unfortunately, it was raining due to a typhoon and the Yoshino River was swollen and muddy, but thanks to the wonderful hospitality at Kazuraya, it became a great memory. Every dinner dish was delicious, and the difference in flavors compared with the Kanto region felt refreshingly new. Dinner portions were quite generous, so I couldn’t finish breakfast—such a shame… The Room was spacious and very clean; it almost felt like a waste for just one night. There’s only a mirror in the wash area, so it was a bit dark and inconvenient for doing makeup. A small handheld makeup mirror or an extra simple mirror would be helpful. There are many stairs and it isn’t barrier-free, so I’d like to visit again while I’m still fit. Overall, I think this is a very comfortable Ryokan!

This was our sixth stay, and every time we have enjoyed a fun and comfortable visit. All three private open-air (and semi-open-air) baths are available to use as often as you like. Both dinner and breakfast are generous in portion size, perfectly seasoned, and always leave us completely satisfied.

The meals were delicious, the rice fields stretched out beautifully and were lush and green, and the view from the Room was truly wonderful. I would love to stay again.

We are a couple in our 70s who enjoy driving and hiking. This time, we planned to walk the Goshikinuma hiking course and stayed at Shikisai Ikkiryoku in Bandai-Atami Onsen. With such high Review ratings, we had certain expectations, and it turned out to be a Ryokan that truly satisfied us. The staff’s hospitality and service were genuinely outstanding. From check-in and reception to being escorted to our Room and shown around, they spoke to us at just the right moments, which completely eased any anxiety about staying for the first time. We were also deeply moved when they saw us off at departure. The entire building felt very clean. It is described as a long-established Ryokan with over 100 years of history, but rather than feeling old, it had a dignified atmosphere that we found wonderful. After relaxing in the Onsen, the meals were excellent in both quality and quantity, and we thoroughly enjoyed beer and sake as well. After an early-morning bath, we took a walk around the garden. We also enjoyed viewing the garden from inside while having coffee—both experiences were wonderful. There were many autographed boards from famous guests displayed along the corridors, which was quite enjoyable. It reminded both my wife and me of how hospitality and service used to be at traditional Ryokan—“Yes, this is how it was!” As we celebrate our golden wedding anniversary this year, this became one of our most memorable stays during our travels. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

From the moment we arrived, the staff warmly welcomed us, and check-in was smooth. Everyone was highly professional, and the property was spotless, making our stay very comfortable. The meals were delicately flavored, and the portions were just right—not too much or too little. Both dinner and breakfast felt perfectly balanced. The baths are cleaned once between check-in and the next morning, with a switch between men’s and women’s times, but we were happy that we could use them multiple times even late at night or early in the morning.

It was my first stay in a while, and it remains a wonderful Hotel. The approach leading straight from the public road to the main entrance is elegant and picturesque. Since it opened in 1935, the Facilities are not the latest, but that is exactly what gives it a unique charm. The staff’s service was also impeccable. For dinner, we enjoyed classic French cuisine rather than today’s modern fusion style—it was delicious. As is true of Unzen’s tourist areas in general, this historic destination is rich in nature, and I imagine maintaining both the Facilities and the gardens must be challenging for those in tourism. I’m sure there are many difficulties, but I truly hope you will continue to preserve this beautiful Hotel.

We stayed in a double Room for two. The Room was a bit small, but it was clean. The large public bath was smaller than expected, but it wasn’t too crowded, and there was also an open-air bath, so it was comfortable. We were surprised by the ice cream and probiotic drink after the bath—it was a nice service. We would like to stay again if we have the chance.

We stayed here on a family trip with my parents. The Room was spacious and airy, and the greenery visible from the window was truly beautiful—so we were able to relax from the moment we arrived. This time we stayed in two Rooms, “Sono Ichi” and “Sono Yon,” and both had large baths and were wonderful spaces where we could unwind completely. The staff’s thoughtfulness also left a strong impression. They responded attentively whenever needed, while maintaining a comfortable sense of distance that never felt intrusive. They warmly celebrated my mother’s birthday, which made my parents very happy. They even sent a forgotten item to our home, and we remained grateful until the very end of our stay. The meals were unforgettable as well. The cutlet was light yet full of rich lean-meat flavor, and absolutely delicious. And the ayu sweetfish was so good that everyone in our family agreed it was the best ayu we had ever had. From the Room and bath to the food and hospitality, everything was flawless. Thank you for making our precious family trip even more special.

We stayed for one night and two days on the senior Plan with two meals included. We received a call in advance to confirm a few details, and the staff member was extremely courteous, which raised our expectations and made us look forward to our stay. Those expectations were fully met: throughout our visit, the service from all staff—at the front desk, restaurant, and elsewhere—was wonderful, natural, and never overbearing. Thanks to you, my spouse and I enjoyed a truly comfortable stay together for the first time in a while. The Facility was clean, the meals were very satisfying, and we felt it was excellent value. I came here to relax. I love camping too, but I really wanted to unwind, and I’d been wanting to visit because it seemed like I could enjoy both—so we stayed in Snow Peak’s JYUBAKO. It was so wonderful that I want to make it a must-do once a year. My husband was very satisfied as well, and we definitely want to come back. Dinner was great, of course, and breakfast was also delicious—we were full and completely satisfied. Thank you for a wonderful time.

With work every day, I rarely get the chance to travel from Kansai to Tohoku. However, this is a famous long-established Accommodation that I had always wanted to visit someday, and this time I finally made it happen. As expected, it was wonderful. The vast, beautifully maintained garden, delicious meals, and the well-trained staff who welcomed us so pleasantly made it truly relaxing. Thanks to tips from the staff, we also visited Higashine City and Tendo City the next day and enjoyed lots of great local food. I also accidentally left my electric toothbrush behind, and I really appreciate how quickly you handled it. This is another Accommodation I would definitely love to return to.

They provided clear, courteous explanations via LINE even before our stay, which made everything easy to understand. During the stay, they also sent updates via LINE, so we had nothing to worry about. When we entered the Room, it was clean and smelled wonderful. The tableware and cooking utensils were well stocked, so we had no inconvenience. There were only a few amenities, but since preferences vary, it didn’t bother us. There is no TV, but we watched movies on the projector—it felt luxurious on a big screen. We stayed mainly for the sauna, and it was piping hot—very satisfying. It would have been even better with a cold plunge bath and relaxation chairs. You can see the Mogami River from the Room and the bath—it’s very soothing. It was an excellent sauna trip overall.

It was a truly wonderful Accommodation where we could stay comfortable throughout our visit. Everything was impeccably clean, and from the moment we stepped into the Room, we felt at ease. The meals we had been looking forward to were outstanding in both presentation and taste for both dinner and breakfast, and we enjoyed them very much. The baths were also a highlight—not only the open-air private hot spring bath with its wonderful sense of openness, but also the cypress bath in the Room, where we could stretch out to our heart’s content while surrounded by the soothing scent of wood. Everything about our stay was excellent and became a great memory. We would definitely like to stay again. One last question: the towels smelled so lovely and were very relaxing! If you don’t mind, would it be possible to tell us which fabric softener you use?

Despite being reasonably priced, the Facility, Onsen, and meals were all excellent. They also offer Shuttle Service to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station and Onuma-Koen Station, so we were able to enjoy our stay even without a car. The Hotel is also barrier-free, and we saw several guests using wheelchairs, making it a place that guests of all ages can enjoy.

I have stayed here every summer for nearly 10 years, and it is truly a wonderful Hotel. Each time I visit, my satisfaction increases. Everywhere in the Hotel is beautiful and spotless, the hospitality is exceptional, and every dish is a delightful surprise. I would like to stay here in other seasons as well.

On my way back from a business trip to Tokyo, I planned a visit to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, which I had long wanted to see. I stayed one night at an Accommodation in Kinugawa Onsen. I chose it after searching with conditions such as having an in-Room Onsen bath and being reasonably priced. The lobby was well maintained, and the hallways were very clean as well. Our Room had an Onsen bath and two separate rooms, so my wife went to the large public bath while I enjoyed the in-Room bath. The meals were very delicious, and the portions were just right—slightly on the generous side. It was a quiet Accommodation where I could relax in the Onsen, which was wonderful. Many of the staff seemed to be from overseas, but everyone was polite and courteous. One thing that concerned me was that when I opened the window by the in-Room bath, there were quite a few spider webs. Also, insects gathered on the window at night so we couldn’t open it; I thought that if there had been a screen door or similar, we could have opened it. If I have another chance to visit nearby, I would like to stay again.

We stayed here as a family during our summer vacation. The pancakes, pudding, and every meal were all very delicious. We felt a warmth in the staff’s hospitality that isn’t swayed by changing times, and it made us feel pleasantly nostalgic. This time, we visited Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone for the first time, looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji as part of my wife’s birthday trip. Although it was too cloudy to see the Mt. Fuji we had hoped for, we stayed at Setsugetsuka Bettei Suiun in Hakone and were able to fully enjoy the area. Our Room was a Standard Fourth, and it was very practical and well maintained with thorough cleaning, so we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me and left me feeling refreshed from the core, and it was also great to be able to use L’OCCITANE shampoo. For dinner, being able to choose the main dish and rice during the meal felt like a thoughtful service that let us decide based on our appetite. Breakfast offered such an abundant variety that we were so full we couldn’t even eat lunch afterward. The after-bath lounge area, along with complimentary drinks and snacks on each floor, was also a welcome service whenever we felt a little hungry. The staff’s hospitality was polite and easy to understand, which left a strong impression on us as well. After checkout we went to Gora Park, and at that time a parking staff member kindly advised us that taking the mountain railway one stop would allow us to walk downhill from top to bottom more easily—very helpful advice for an older couple like us. We hope to come back soon for our “I want to see Mt. Fuji with my own eyes!” revenge trip, and when we do, we would love to stay with you again.
