Red Snow Crab Course: Sashimi, grilled, boiled, tempura, and hot pot—so much food that you'll be completely full. It's amazing how much volume 2.5 crabs provide. Very satisfying. The bath is an Onsen and feels great, though the slight chlorine smell was a bit noticeable. The Room was a spacious 5-person room used by just 2 people. However, being on the first floor meant poor views, and the lack of a refrigerator in the room was slightly disappointing.

The Room and Onsen were satisfying, both in quality and price. I would like to use it again.

The top recommendation is the private open-air bath on the rooftop. There are two options, A and B; if you can book the evening slot to watch the sunset, choose A. Since the rooftop bath has only one faucet and no shampoo or other amenities, it’s best to wash up first in the large public bath on the first floor, which is fully equipped. Guests are responsible for laying out their own futons, including putting on the sheets. This may not suit those looking for a classic Ryokan experience where your bedding is prepared while you’re at dinner, but room rates are more reasonable as a result. The Shinshu beef sukiyaki dinner was excellent. We bought drinks and snacks at Yamauchi Shoten across from the Ryokan (open until 7:00 PM—please note), but we ended up too full and had to take them back with us the next day. The Ryokan is also perfectly located for visiting multiple public baths, making it easy to take a break at the Accommodation between stops around mealtimes. Shuttle Service times are set to match Nagano Dentetsu limited express trains. If you’d like to explore town after check-out, you can take a bus (e.g., from Shibu-Wago bus stop) to Yudanaka Station, but be aware there may be little time between arriving at the station and your train’s departure.

We stayed as a family, and the room was spacious, stylish, and very clean, just like in the photos. From the second-floor living room, we enjoyed a breathtaking view of Hakuba's expansive scenery, offering an incredible sense of openness. The staff were extremely friendly from check-in and made our stay very pleasant. We stayed for two nights, and on the second day, they replaced our towels and promptly responded to our calls, which was very helpful. Amenities such as insect repellent spray and baby guards were well-prepared, making it safe and convenient for families with children. The recommended restaurants and spots were all fantastic, making this a truly satisfying stay. We would love to visit again!

This is a retro Showa-era Hotel (Ryokan). The covered, spacious garage used as a motorcycle parking area was great in rainy weather and for security.

Thank you for taking care of us for two nights and three days. We were very satisfied with the bath and the meals. Also, the stargazing was amazing—we were moved to see a sky full of stars that you can’t see in the city. If we had to mention one thing, it was quite hot, so we would have liked air conditioning. A blower and a fan were not enough. Also, the filter on the back of the blower was clogged with dust, so we cleaned it. Aside from these two points, it was a satisfying Hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed here for a family trip. The Room had a calm, mature atmosphere, and we were able to relax. We could use the Onsen without any time restrictions, and we enjoyed playing games together in the living room—making wonderful memories.

I’ve stayed here before and was very satisfied with the Crab Feast Course, but this time I wanted even more crab, so I chose the Luxury Crab Course. As a result, I was extremely satisfied with both the taste and the portion size. Also, this inn is right in front of the lift area at Hachi-Kita Ski Resort, and being able to use the bath even after check-out is a huge help. Another great service is that guests aged 55 and over can rent equipment for free. There’s also an affiliated rental shop nearby, and the staff were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately it rained that day and conditions were terrible, but thanks to staying at Hisaya, it turned into a ski trip I was happy with.

We stayed in the Pine Building to spend some relaxing time as a family. The manager was very friendly and kindly explained everything, so we were able to enjoy a comfortable stay. We had planned a barbecue in the very spacious garden, but unfortunately it rained. We were told that rain-cover Facilities will be added soon, and this time they provided us with a parasol, which allowed us to enjoy it. The open-air bath exclusively for the Pine Building was spacious enough, and since it is fed directly from the hot spring source and runs slightly hot, we were able to adjust the temperature using the provided yumomi paddle and even try yumomi ourselves. We also enjoyed an evening stroll of about 10 minutes on foot to Yubatake and experienced Kusatsu at night. The surroundings were very quiet at night, allowing us to relax. As this is a relatively new Accommodation, everything felt very pleasant. We would love to stay again.

I stayed here with my grandchild. At the very least, I think there should be a table tennis table.

The dinner was impressively elaborate. It was incredibly delicious, and I believe staying here was worth it just for the meal.

This is my second stay. When I feel tired, I come here to relax, bring what I like, and enjoy doing whatever I want. The bath can be used freely, going in and out as you please, without worrying about others. Each room has a unique charm that excites me. The staff at the front desk are kind and excellent in their service.

The facility was clean, and the Onsen was excellent. The Onsen includes an open-air bath and a sauna. When my husband requested to go for an early morning run before the official opening hours, the staff kindly accommodated his request. Breakfast was buffet-style with a satisfying variety of dishes. The warm simmered dishes and dried daikon radish were delicious, and there were plenty of drink options as well. The milk, likely from the local Yatsugatake area, was rich and flavorful. The autumn leaves around the Hotel were stunningly beautiful. I would love to stay here again!

I want to eat Hida beef! I want to enjoy sake while watching the snow! I want to relax in an onsen! All my wishes came true. I was satisfied with everything: the food, customer service, onsen, overall cleanliness of the property, and the warm atmosphere. I will use it again.

We stayed for one night over the Obon holidays as a family, and everything was excellent. The Facility matched the photos, was very clean, and we had a truly comfortable stay. When we arrived, the tarp and BBQ set were already prepared, so we could start enjoying a barbecue right away—wonderful. There was also a Miele front-opening dishwasher, which made it very convenient for a large group to wash and dry dishes automatically. What we especially liked was that the LDK is on the first floor, and there is also one bedroom on the first floor. Even among luxury villas I researched extensively, it’s rare to find this layout plus a sauna, so I think it’s quite valuable. It also seems very easy to use when traveling with elderly guests or anyone with limited mobility, since it reduces the need to go up and down stairs. The wood deck is designed to be hard to see from the road, and it isn’t fully exposed from neighboring homes either—privacy was well considered. You can see an apartment-like building a few hundred meters away, so you probably wouldn’t want to sunbathe completely nude outside (haha), but it still feels nicely private. The sauna goes up to 90°C maximum, so those who prefer an authentic high-temperature sauna might find it slightly lacking. However, relaxing outdoors after the cold bath on an infinity chair or in a hammock was truly amazing. We had originally extended late check-out by two hours, and when we asked for an additional two-hour extension, they kindly responded quickly since there were no upcoming Reservations. The staff service was excellent as well. We were satisfied with everything—the Facility, layout, comfort level, privacy considerations, and staff support. It made for a wonderful family trip. I was worried because the Reviews I checked in advance were low, but I’m very satisfied. The Room was spacious, and the view toward Zenkoji Temple and the night scenery were amazing. The amenities were well stocked, and both the open-air bath and indoor bath were great. Since it was that time of year when the Room heating wasn’t on, it was cold, so I contacted the front desk and they brought me a fan heater. There were some stains and dirt on the carpet, and the amenities didn’t feel particularly luxurious, but at this price it’s more than enough. It seems like meal ratings are very low, but since my stay was No Meals Included, I can’t comment. If you go down about 10 minutes there’s a convenience store, and beyond that there’s an AEON mall, popular supermarkets, chain restaurants, and ramen shops—so even with No Meals Included there’s no problem. I’ll stay here again next year!!
