I love the calm atmosphere of Tateshina Tokyu Hotel and have stayed here several times. Its setting in the forest, the dignified yet unpretentious interiors, and the quiet time you can spend here offer a charm that is hard to find at other hotels. This time was no different, and it reminded me again how much I like this hotel. Also, though it’s a small thing, I really like the toothbrushes in the guest rooms. They’re comfortable to use, and I can feel the hotel’s thoughtfulness even in these details. I hope you will continue with the current ones. On the other hand, precisely because I’ve been coming for many years, there are a few things that disappointed me. The biggest one is that Japanese dinner has been discontinued since this year. On a Multiple Night Stay, we used to enjoy being able to choose “Western tonight, Japanese tomorrow” within the hotel itself. Especially for us—who prefer not to drive once we arrive and instead relax in the forest or inside—the option was very important. French cuisine certainly has its appeal, but having Western meals both nights makes it feel like a slightly different hotel than before. I would be happy if Japanese dinner becomes an option again someday. I was also sorry to hear that the garden pool, long loved by guests, has ended operations starting this year. I understand it was due to aging facilities (Facility), but combined with the end of Japanese dinner options (Facility), it feels as though some of what made Tateshina Tokyu special is gradually disappearing. One more thing I would love to see enhanced is the in-house library collection (Facility). This is such a quiet Hotel where you can relax while looking out at the forest—perfect for reading. The current selection feels lacking not so much in quantity as in curation quality. If there were more books that you’d want to pick up specifically because you came to Tateshina—on Shinshu’s nature and culture, mountains, architecture, travel writing, literature—it would make time spent at this Hotel even richer. I’m not asking for new facilities or services one after another. Rather, I hope you will continue cherishing and preserving what makes this Hotel unique. These comments come from someone who truly likes this Hotel—and I hope to keep visiting for many years to come.

I stayed for one night with my elderly parents. The Onsen was, of course, wonderful—we stayed warm right up until bedtime. We were also able to bathe in the Onsen at affiliated Hotels and in the public baths, so we could truly enjoy Naruko’s famous hot springs. It was absolutely fantastic. At the buffet dining venue, my elderly father has back problems, so carrying a tray and serving himself while standing between other guests in line seemed like it would be a challenge. However, there were carts to place trays on, which allowed him to serve himself without bothering others and move around comfortably. We also loved the wide variety of options and the fun of choosing from them—my father was very happy as well. One disappointing point is that it likely depends on how many guests there are that day, but quite a few dishes—including desserts—were marked as “available until gone.” In the latter half of service, even if portions were smaller on smaller trays or plates, I hope the same selection as at opening time could be kept available. We would like to stay again as a family with my father.

During Silver Week, we made a Reservation for two Rooms with our daughter and son-in-law and stayed for two nights. Without meals included, we weren’t tied to set times and could relax. There was a good selection of frozen foods, so we had no trouble with meals. The weather wasn’t great, but the kids enjoyed table tennis and the Onsen pool, while we enjoyed the large public bath and the massage chairs. The Yogibo room? was more comfortable than expected—I fell asleep without realizing it. The Hotel itself was fine, but there’s nothing around it—absolutely nothing. Just forest after forest, so a car is essential.

From the check-in staff to the Room attendant, futon-making staff, breakfast staff, and Shuttle Service staff, everyone was very pleasant and made our stay comfortable. I was surprised by the in-room dining first—so many dishes served on a large tray. It was a bit disappointing that we had to choose the same drink (wine or a soft drink) as my companion (I wanted wine), but everything was delicious. We also enjoyed relaxing in the private bath. Breakfast offered a wide variety of items, and I was especially impressed by how delicious the miso soup was. The Gunma-chan miso soup bath was also adorable. They even recommended Green Farm for us, which really helped. It turned into a very fulfilling trip. Thank you very much.

The baths and the meals were wonderful. I used the baths four times, and my skin felt so smooth. The portion sizes were just right, and both the Hida beef and the fish were tender and delicious. I would definitely love to stay again. When I visit Hirayu next time, I look forward to seeing you again.

While Marriott Hotels are often associated with polished service, perhaps because this is not a large-scale Hotel, the hospitality here was friendly and warm, and every staff member we interacted with had a wonderful smile. I’m sorry for the trouble we caused when my son’s Switch wouldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi. They even contacted a service provider to get it connected, and my son was truly grateful. The Room also felt very Hakuba—woody and simple, but exactly my taste. The ReFa shower head in the bath and the amenities were excellent as well. The meals were also incredibly elaborate and detailed; I was especially moved by the appetizer inspired by Hakuba’s scenery. I often can’t finish a full course meal, but this time I was able to enjoy every last bite. In winter, it seems we’ll be able to see a completely different landscape in many ways, so this is an Accommodation I’d love to revisit during ski season.

Both the Room and the front desk were very clean. Since I could use Upopo-no-Yu by myself, it was very comfortable! Compared to Dormy Inn in Otaru, the breakfast selection is smaller, but everything was delicious and I was satisfied. At night, you can also have the late-night soba, and it’s also appealing that you can get a cup of instant noodles for those who couldn’t eat it.

We stayed here while sightseeing in Azumino City and Nagano City. A few years ago we stayed at a different Hotel, but this Hotel is far better. The property was very clean and well maintained. The staff also made a great impression on us. Even my wife, who is usually quite critical, seemed very satisfied. We would like to stay at this Hotel again.

After seeing it on TV a few months ago, I’d been hoping to visit this Accommodation, and I made a Reservation when I found a very reasonably priced Plan. There were some narrow roads along the way, but once we arrived, it was such a wonderful Accommodation that there was nothing left to say. The hospitality at the front desk and from the staff, the spotless interior and Room, the breathtaking open-air bath I’d admired on TV, and the cuisine featuring local ingredients—all of it was exceptional. We truly enjoyed a luxurious time here, and I can’t thank you enough. Soon we should be able to soak in the open-air bath while enjoying the autumn leaves, so if there is availability, we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The Onsen suited me well, helped improve my skin condition, and felt wonderful. The next day, when I opened the window, everything outside was covered in snow.

It was within walking distance of Yubatake, and the meals offered a wide variety and were delicious. The Room was so spacious it almost felt like too much, but I was able to relax very comfortably. The open-air bath in the Room wasn’t very private despite being “open-air,” as it could be seen from outside, so I ended up having to lower the blinds, which reduced the sense of openness. Still, it was much better than an indoor bath. There was also a large public Onsen bath, so I could fully enjoy the Onsen there as well.

I stayed here with my sister and her husband while it was snowing heavily. The Accommodation has both a first and second floor, making it a Room layout I had never experienced before. The in-Room bath had plenty of hot water flowing continuously, which was perfect for a morning soak. The meals were also very delicious.

Thank you for your hospitality. I was tired from driving, so the bath and sauna were very relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. I stayed in a single Room with a bath; it was spacious enough, and I left the Hotel very satisfied. I would like to stay again!

To all the staff at Karuizawa Club Hotel 1130, thank you as always for your kind support. My family has stayed here many times over the past few years, and this time we were finally able to make a Reservation for the Premium Family Suite Room we had long hoped for, so we stayed yesterday. As its name suggests, it was the highest-grade Room among the many Rooms at Karuizawa Hotel 1130. There was an open-air jacuzzi bath on the balcony, and two indoor baths inside as well. There were also two restrooms, and four separate rooms in total—one of them a bedroom with a skylight that lets you gaze up at the sky. Because every space was so luxurious, my whole family was thrilled the moment we stepped into each room. We had reserved Japanese kaiseki at Yamaboshi well in advance, but it was changed to a buffet Plan. Just like in Hewitt Resort’s TV commercial, the buffet venue was beautiful and the selection was extensive. From the live kitchen at dinner to freshly made rice balls at breakfast, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were all courteous and kind, which helped us greatly. We also visited the open-air bath at Onioshi Onsen; it had been renovated and made it easier to access directly from the indoor bath area. We will be staying one more night later this month as well, and we are looking forward to enjoying the same Premium Family Suite Room again. Each time we stay, this wonderful Hotel continues to evolve even further—and it has become our family’s favorite. I hope other guests can experience that same sense of excitement too. We checked in early and enjoyed the Onsen before dinner. The perfectly comfortable Onsen temperature was wonderful! Drinks after the bath were also great! There was a wide variety at the dinner buffet, but we were so full that we couldn’t try everything. Breakfast also had a great selection and was delicious. One thing to mention: it was disappointing that there was hardly any hot water from the faucet in our Room. We could see the Yubatake lit up at night from our Room. We actually wanted to take a walk to the Yubatake right in front of us, but it started raining and we couldn’t go, which was a shame. The exterior of the building showed its age, but choosing Daitokan was absolutely the right decision. We’d like to stay again. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 3-day, 2-night stay. The staff were wonderful, and we truly appreciated how quickly you responded to our inquiries. The only disappointing point was the towels. They were not very absorbent and were not ideal for drying off. Although Kusatsu is not the easiest place to access, this is a Hotel we would like to visit again.

I traveled by train, and the walk from the station was not far, so I was able to get there without any trouble. The staff were kind after I arrived at the Hotel, and they even spoke to me at the shoe storage area, which was very helpful. They clearly explained everything about staying in the Accommodation and about meals as well, which made it easy to understand. The meals exceeded my expectations, and I was very satisfied. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

I stayed here to celebrate a friend’s 70th birthday. The Facility is old, but well maintained, and I had a very comfortable stay. Dinner in particular was excellent—the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere (the live piano performance was wonderful), and both the wine and the food were delicious. They also prepared a celebratory dessert plate, and at breakfast they made a special drink along with congratulatory words. It was a wonderful celebration trip. Thank you very much.

It’s a small Hotel, but it was very nice. The day before, after a long drive, my husband’s back pain got worse, and they prepared a wheelchair for him—it was a huge help. Thank you very much. The Onsen was very relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious. My husband also said he definitely wants to come again.

The building and interior feel a bit dated, but everything was clean overall, which was nice. As for the room, I’d like to see a bit more effort with cleaning the toilet… It wasn’t dirty, but while it looks fine from above, there were some dark stains visible from the side. I’d like it to be scrubbed thoroughly with foaming cleaner and a brush. Also, about the tea cups—I'd be happy if there were mugs instead of teacups. The Onsen and the breakfast on the top floor were exceptional! If you stay here, I definitely recommend adding breakfast.
