We stayed for two nights from 7/18 (Sat) in a Japanese-Western Room with a large open-air bath. Just as advertised as “the largest in Hokuriku,” the open-air bath was spacious—a luxurious space where adults can fully stretch out their arms and legs. That said, it does require some consideration for women. Across the river is a long-established restaurant; during business hours their windows are left open, so you do feel conscious of being seen. About 30–50 cm around the tub has no screening at all, so I felt it would be helpful to have reed screens or bamboo blinds available so guests who are concerned can adjust them themselves. My husband didn’t mind at all and was completely satisfied—he still says it was the best open-air bath he’s ever had. Since there was no explanation on arrival, we weren’t sure at first, but we were amazed (and impressed) that we didn’t run into other guests in the elevator. The Room layout was extremely practical. Right next to the elevator is a walk-in closet with air conditioning, so you can hang clothes on one side and use the other side to dry wet towels and such. There is also a separate door and staircase used by attendants to bring in-room meals directly to the tatami living area without passing through. Because the living-room windows face near Korogi Bridge, people crossing the bridge could look down and make eye contact with us—shy guests might find this uncomfortable. About inside the Accommodation: there is a quiet, relaxing lounge on another floor. Each chair has great taste; I loved the design so much that I kept stopping by whenever I thought of it. There’s also a terrace overlooking the night sky and nature—it felt wonderfully open. The food was excellent—truly nothing to complain about. There were also hearty meat dishes that younger guests would enjoy; everything was delicious and we finished it all. In casual conversation with our attendant, we learned that the homemade desserts are made by the young proprietress herself. The melon bread panna cotta and strawberry mousse were incredibly good. They were so good that my plan to take leftovers from family members who don’t like sweets fell through (laugh). Overall, this Accommodation was perfect for resetting both body and mind. It was well worth driving eight hours each way in our own car. Thank you to my husband—and sincere thanks as well to everyone at Korogi-ro for your kindness and attentive service. Our attendant’s warm personality and gentle consideration were truly soothing. Even shop staff around Yamanaka Onsen town kindly spoke to us when we seemed lost. Including all of that, we had a wonderful time. The photo is breakfast.

I stayed here again, as I did last year. This time, I split my stay into two parts: 2 nights and then 3 nights—first on the east side, and the last 3 nights on the west side. The west side is better. I plan to stay here again next year.

We stayed at this Hotel because it is close to the gondola for trekking at Hakuba Happo-One. The interior was simply charming, and we relaxed on the lobby sofas in the evening—the high ceilings made it feel like an overseas Hotel. Many of the staff were from abroad, but everyone was friendly and provided excellent service, making our stay very pleasant. We visited in summer this time, and would love to come back in winter as well.

1. Room: Spotlessly clean, down to the smallest details From the moment you step inside, a calm Japanese ambiance surrounds you. The room was beautifully maintained and thoroughly cleaned, with a refreshing sense of cleanliness in every corner, making it truly comfortable. The views of nature and the hot spring town from the window were soothing as well—I was able to relax right after arriving. 2. Dining: Exceptional cuisine showcasing seasonal flavors Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely satisfying! Each meal featured plenty of fresh local ingredients and seasonal specialties, and you can tell every dish is prepared with great care. Beautifully presented and full of flavor, it was delicious enough to leave both my stomach and my heart completely satisfied. 3. Hot Springs: You’ll feel it immediately—silky-smooth skin after bathing When it comes to Yumeryutan, the hot springs are a must. The water is soft and gentle on the skin, and as soon as I stepped out of the bath I could feel how smooth and supple my skin had become. Soaking in the open-air bath while listening to the river’s gentle flow was pure bliss—so relaxing you’ll want to stay in longer.

When sightseeing in Yamagata, we stay at Symphony. Once again, the food was outstanding. The dishes are very thoughtfully crafted—the way the ingredients are brought out and seasoned is impressive. The combinations of items in the dinner course were also excellent. Each time, we can enjoy different dishes, and it feels like they are always evolving. We were also happy to have a wide variety of vegetables at breakfast.

This was our second stay in a Club Room, and just like last time, both the Room and the lounge were very comfortable, making it an enjoyable trip. We would love to stay again on our next trip to Hokkaido. It was also great that we could check in smoothly using the QR code sent in advance.

We stayed here for our elementary school-aged daughter’s birthday trip. She requested a buffet, so we looked for a place with a menu that both kids and adults could enjoy, and this is where we ended up. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes featuring local ingredients, and we were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. Not only that, but check-in and check-out were smooth, the welcome service was excellent, and the playroom—clean and well stocked with plenty of activities—was always lively with guests. The Onsen was slightly lukewarm, which was perfect for our family since we don’t like very hot baths. The staff kept a comfortable distance; there wasn’t much small talk, but whenever we asked something they responded very politely, which made our stay pleasant. The next day we took a walk through Sosenkyo Gorge right in front of the hotel. It was easy to access, and we were able to enjoy ourselves even after checking out. Thank you very much. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that the parking lot felt small for how busy it gets; when larger cars line up, getting in and out can be difficult. It would be even more comfortable if it could be expanded or improved.

I stayed for two nights in August and did not experience any major inconveniences. The meals were delicious. The Onsen was spacious, and I was able to relax and enjoy it. The staff were also very helpful. There was only one designated smoking area outside, but it was not particularly inconvenient.

I stayed here with two friends from out of town. I’ve stayed at various Hotels in Akiu Onsen, but Hana no Yu’s buffet was outstanding! You can make your own drinks, and there was a wide variety of delicious dishes from appetizers to desserts. The Room was very clean and I was very satisfied. There are three Onsen baths, so we were able to fully enjoy them. I’d love to visit again.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday trip. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches, including messages, and felt the attentive care throughout. The meals and Onsen were wonderful, and we were very satisfied. The staff welcomed us warmly with smiles, which was soothing both physically and mentally. We would love to stay again.

The autumn leaves were very beautiful from the room. There were many tourists from overseas, but there were no issues, and it was a great experience to chat in the open-air bath. The staff seemed to include those proficient in languages, showing their efforts as an accommodation. The variety of uniquely designed baths was enjoyable. The food was also delicious. However, the reservation method for private baths may need some consideration.

We stayed in a Room with a private bath. We almost got lost on the way to the bath and dining area. The bath was excellent. There were many foreign staff members, but their Japanese was very good, and everyone was kind and took great care of us. The meals were also delicious. It may be unavoidable, but the exterior glass was dirty, which was the only slightly disappointing point.

I’ve enjoyed buffet meals at many Hotels, but this Hotel’s buffet was outstanding in both taste and variety. The kids kept going back for their favorites, while I happily refilled my glass with delicious beer poured from the beer server—absolutely the best. The Onsen facilities include a scenic view bath and a large public bath, and both were uncrowded so we could truly relax. We didn’t have time to try it, but there are also two table tennis tables available for free use. It’s just a short walk to the Stone Steps Street, and there’s a convenience store right in front, so the location was excellent. Some parking areas are down a steep slope, but Shuttle Service by microbus is basically provided, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. This is a Hotel I’d definitely like to stay at again when visiting Ikaho Onsen.

We stayed during two days of heavy rain, but the indoor dog run was very spacious, so our dogs could run around to their hearts’ content. The Room was also clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. However, it was a bit inconvenient that the washbasin area is located by the open-air bath, and since the sofa faces outside rather than the TV, we could only watch TV from the bed, which was a little disappointing. The meals were delicious, but there was a lot of meat in the appetizers, and with both fish and meat for the main course as well, we ended up eating quite a lot. The outdoor dog run we couldn’t use due to the rain also looked spacious, and the staff who maintain the course kindly greeted us, so it felt like a dog run we could use with peace of mind. There are plenty of walking paths too, and we’d love to visit again when the weather is clear.

Since we started traveling as a family, we often visit Kinugawa and Nasu, and we always stay at Hotel New Shiobara. This time was also Hotel New Shiobara. Since becoming premium, it has become even more comfortable. Above all, our children really love this hotel. The buffet meals, the baths, and the overall atmosphere inside the Hotel are all excellent. The newly opened lounge is also great. We plan to stay here again whenever we visit Nasu. Thank you as always.

Buffet-style dining is common at Hotels, but I was amazed that this buffet also came with generous servings of assorted seafood. Everything was delicious, and I ended up eating too much. There was also a great variety of desserts, which made it even more enjoyable. That day, I went to the Tulip Festival in Yubetsu Town—after seeing the beautiful flowers, breathing in the fresh air, and enjoying a wonderful meal, it became a truly memorable day.

The welcome coffee helped me unwind. The open-air bath was spacious, the Onsen water felt gentle, and the late-night rotation was a nice touch—overall, it was excellent. For dinner, the half-buffet Sukiyaki beef was delicious. I wish the free private bath had a bit more water flow, and I’d like it to be by Reservation. The karaoke room had a great view of Lake Akaya and a wonderful location. I’d also like to see more Hotel signboards along the road.

A relaxing accommodation located at the foot of Mt. Sanbe with a fantastic location. The price is reasonable, offering great satisfaction. The meals are diverse and exceptionally delicious. If given the chance, I would love to stay at this accommodation again. Thank you!

Located a little beyond Yamanaka Onsen’s Yuge Kaido, this Accommodation sits across from Kayano Osugi, a nationally designated Natural Monument. Camellias were depicted throughout the Accommodation—do camellias bloom here in winter? Bright red camellias against white snow would be beautiful. To reach the Accommodation’s signature Yunobata, you go down a stone staircase, where fresh greenery, a clear stream, and birdsong soothe you and let you fully enjoy nature. From the Room, we also enjoyed the sunrise peeking over the mountains. The meals were wonderful in both presentation and taste; cold dishes were served cold and hot dishes hot, showing thoughtful attention to detail. Surrounded by nature and delicious food, we were able to relax and spend unhurried time. Thank you very much.

I stay here when I’m on business in Aomori. The free ramen at night was perfect for a light bite. The ice cream after relaxing in the large public bath was especially enjoyable. The omelet at breakfast the next morning was also delicious. I’d like to stay here again.
