Due to bad weather, I arrived much later than my planned check-in time, but they accommodated me. My vehicle was about the size of a microbus, but they still allowed me to park, which was a huge help. Another place refused because of my vehicle size, so I really appreciated how willingly this Accommodation handled it. For a family of four, the 10-tatami Room was very spacious, and the kids were thrilled. The Facility is a bit old... The windows are thin and you can hear outside noise easily; the sound of rain echoes pleasantly in the Room. The shower pressure in the bath was a slight downside... Other than that, I have no complaints. An Accommodation that lets you park a vehicle of my size is invaluable, so I’ll stay here again next time. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 3-day, 2-night stay. The staff were wonderful, and we truly appreciated how quickly you responded to our inquiries. The only disappointing point was the towels. They were not very absorbent and were not ideal for drying off. Although Kusatsu is not the easiest place to access, this is a Hotel we would like to visit again.

We stayed for one night and two days on the senior Plan with two meals included. We received a call in advance to confirm a few details, and the staff member was extremely courteous, which raised our expectations and made us look forward to our stay. Those expectations were fully met: throughout our visit, the service from all staff—at the front desk, restaurant, and elsewhere—was wonderful, natural, and never overbearing. Thanks to you, my spouse and I enjoyed a truly comfortable stay together for the first time in a while. The Facility was clean, the meals were very satisfying, and we felt it was excellent value. I’ve traveled to Tochigi many times, but this was my first visit to Yunishigawa Onsen. When choosing an Accommodation, the open-air Onsen and the meals were especially appealing. After arriving, I took a moment to relax with a cold welcome drink and a refreshingly cool towel—perfect for the heat. Once shown to my Room, I was soothed by the view from the window: mountains and a river. Dinner was served in a private room with an irori hearth, where many dishes were laid out. Over the hearth, various ingredients such as venison, beef, chicken, and yamame trout were grilled. We also enjoyed “isshobera”: minced chicken and crushed walnuts mixed into flavorful miso, spread onto a bamboo spatula and grilled, then placed on rice. Everything was truly delicious and beautiful to look at as well. For breakfast, we had piping-hot tofu made right in front of us along with many small side dishes—so filling even in the morning. Next time I’d love to visit during the autumn foliage season to enjoy a different view, so I hope to stay again when I return.

The meals, the Room’s open-air bath, and the service were all excellent. We were able to fully enjoy a special getaway and relax at our own pace. We would love to visit again!

We stayed here while sightseeing in Azumino City and Nagano City. A few years ago we stayed at a different Hotel, but this Hotel is far better. The property was very clean and well maintained. The staff also made a great impression on us. Even my wife, who is usually quite critical, seemed very satisfied. We would like to stay at this Hotel again.

After seeing it on TV a few months ago, I’d been hoping to visit this Accommodation, and I made a Reservation when I found a very reasonably priced Plan. There were some narrow roads along the way, but once we arrived, it was such a wonderful Accommodation that there was nothing left to say. The hospitality at the front desk and from the staff, the spotless interior and Room, the breathtaking open-air bath I’d admired on TV, and the cuisine featuring local ingredients—all of it was exceptional. We truly enjoyed a luxurious time here, and I can’t thank you enough. Soon we should be able to soak in the open-air bath while enjoying the autumn leaves, so if there is availability, we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

This trip was with my mother, who is turning 91. The building felt a bit old, but it was thoroughly cleaned and we had a very comfortable stay. At the dining venue, whenever dishes ran low they were replenished right away, and the staff even came to our table to let us know when refills were available. It was clear that everything was run efficiently with no waste. This is an Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and I was able to unwind and enjoy a peaceful stay. I also appreciated that it is free-flowing from the source and available 24 hours a day. The water temperature was just right, and it left my skin feeling silky smooth. We had dinner on a riverside dining platform, and it was wonderful to enjoy the scenery and the sound of the flowing river while eating. The meal was delicious and had a great seasonal feel. The staff were courteous, which made the stay very comfortable. I would love to return if I have the chance.

We stayed here to celebrate my spouse and me turning 70. The Room with an open-air bath was spacious, and we were able to relax comfortably. The Onsen water quality in the large public bath was excellent. We could choose different temperatures depending on the area, and we were very satisfied. The meals were also very delicious. It became a memorable celebration. We would like to visit again.

It was the height of summer, but we were able to relax and enjoy a hygge stay. The in-room Onsen allowed us to bathe without any worries, and it was wonderful to unwind on the wooden deck early in the morning. The meal was delicious—not only the kaiseki course, but also the sea bream rice. Check-out at the entrance was a first for us, and we really appreciated it. We’d love to visit again during crab season.

Although the Hotel is located in the countryside, the staff’s hospitality and the quality of the meals are on par with a three-star hotel.

I stayed at another Accommodation in the same group not long ago, but this was my first return to Tamakiya in 10 years. Last time, discovering Abe Shuzo through the sake pairing was a real highlight, so I did it again this time. Since it was a special occasion, I decided to pay the extra fee and choose the optional premium sake course. It more than lived up to expectations—I truly enjoyed a wide range of excellent sakes, including some with a playful twist. The sommelier’s stories were fascinating, and I wished I could have listened even longer. I was traveling solo, but the staff were consistently courteous and attentive, no different from how they treated larger groups, which I really appreciated. The food was also outstanding: a course featuring plenty of local Niigata ingredients, with every dish delicious from appetizers to dessert. Next time, I’d love to stay in midwinter when there’s deep snow.

In conclusion, this Accommodation offered outstanding value for money! I had made separate one-night Reservations for different Rooms, but when availability opened up, I was able to stay in the same Room for two nights. I chose the Deluxe Japanese-style Room, and upgrading was definitely the right decision. The first thing I did after arriving was head straight to the Onsen. The water quality was incredible—silky and pleasantly smooth—and it genuinely felt like it left my skin refreshed. The washing area is spacious, and the indoor bath is more than large enough. The open-air bath is a bit smaller, but the water was so clean and soothing that it didn’t matter at all. I would happily come back just for this Onsen. The meals were also excellent. Although it’s a buffet, it wasn’t the typical “hotel buffet” with mass-produced dishes. Instead, each item felt carefully prepared. There aren’t countless options, but both the taste and quality were more than satisfying. I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights, and the initial plated dish (separate from the buffet) featured different ingredients on each day—both were delicious. Some buffet items also changed on day two, so I never felt bored even with dinner twice in a row. The wood-fired pizza was especially good—I ended up eating too much on both days. Honestly, if you ate this dinner every day you’d definitely gain weight (in a good way). It was nothing like an ordinary hotel buffet that simply reheats frozen food. Breakfast was just as good. The view from the Room was amazing as well, which made me even happier that I chose the Deluxe Japanese-style Room. By luck I was on the top floor (5th floor), with a full view of Happo-One Ski Resort—including the ski jump—so it felt fantastic. I honestly think this Accommodation has one of the best vantage points in the area in terms of seeing over the entire resort and how close it feels to the mountains. Switching to two nights in this Deluxe Japanese-style Room was absolutely worth it. If you’re unsure which side to choose, I highly recommend a ski-resort-facing Room. The Accommodation itself may be somewhat older, but there wasn’t a single place where it felt old (or dirty). If anything, it feels very clean throughout. Even my window had been thoroughly cleaned, so I could enjoy their proud ski-resort view through spotless glass. All staff members were kind and welcoming with genuine smiles, which made my stay even better. I would absolutely like to stay here again.

To all the staff at Karuizawa Club Hotel 1130, thank you as always for your kind support. My family has stayed here many times over the past few years, and this time we were finally able to make a Reservation for the Premium Family Suite Room we had long hoped for, so we stayed yesterday. As its name suggests, it was the highest-grade Room among the many Rooms at Karuizawa Hotel 1130. There was an open-air jacuzzi bath on the balcony, and two indoor baths inside as well. There were also two restrooms, and four separate rooms in total—one of them a bedroom with a skylight that lets you gaze up at the sky. Because every space was so luxurious, my whole family was thrilled the moment we stepped into each room. We had reserved Japanese kaiseki at Yamaboshi well in advance, but it was changed to a buffet Plan. Just like in Hewitt Resort’s TV commercial, the buffet venue was beautiful and the selection was extensive. From the live kitchen at dinner to freshly made rice balls at breakfast, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were all courteous and kind, which helped us greatly. We also visited the open-air bath at Onioshi Onsen; it had been renovated and made it easier to access directly from the indoor bath area. We will be staying one more night later this month as well, and we are looking forward to enjoying the same Premium Family Suite Room again. Each time we stay, this wonderful Hotel continues to evolve even further—and it has become our family’s favorite. I hope other guests can experience that same sense of excitement too. Close to the station, with an outlet mall just nearby, so the location is very convenient. Also, since we have children, we signed up for Picchio’s animal tour and insect tour within the Hotel and joined in. The guide explained everything carefully, and we enjoyed it a lot, so I highly recommend it. The Hotel grounds are vast, and shuttle buses run until late between Karuizawa Prince West, Animal, Hot Spring, and the outlet mall, which was very convenient. We woke up early and took a walk around the Hotel grounds. The fresh air was wonderful, and the sun filtering through the trees was truly soothing. The Onsen was great as well, and above all, all of the staff were very kind and pleasant—it really felt like they are well trained. I will definitely stay at this Hotel again.

This was our Accommodation on the last day of our trip to Hokkaido. There was also a bus from Sapporo, so access was convenient. We made a Reservation for an Executive Suite. From check-in we used a dedicated counter, and there was also an exclusive lounge, which made the stay feel special. The bathroom was spacious and relaxing, and we were very satisfied. However, dinner was a buffet in a large hall, but it was so crowded that we couldn’t take our time, which was disappointing.

The food was exactly what I expected. It looked great and tasted great. The watermelon in this season was sweet and delicious. I got carried away and ate too much, and ended up feeling unwell. The staff’s service also felt completely different from other hotels and was very pleasant (smiles, greetings, etc.). The Room was spacious and relaxing, but perhaps the walls are thin—the voices of guests walking in the hallway echoed more than expected, so that was the only downside for me.

In the lobby, we were welcomed by the sound of many bell crickets. The meals were plentiful and delicious. The staff’s hospitality truly came through, making this Accommodation a very memorable stay. The only downside was that there was no Onsen signage at all in the large public bath.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday trip. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches, including messages, and felt the attentive care throughout. The meals and Onsen were wonderful, and we were very satisfied. The staff welcomed us warmly with smiles, which was soothing both physically and mentally. We would love to stay again.
