We stayed here on this trip, and it was a thoroughly satisfying stay in every way. The cuisine, in particular, was outstanding—not only was each dish carefully prepared, but the thoughtfully selected tableware complemented the food beautifully, making it a wonderful experience for both the eyes and the palate. At dinner, we were given detailed explanations of each dish, which helped us enjoy everything even more. The attentive hospitality left a lasting impression. Breakfast exceeded our expectations as well. The rice was truly delicious—both my wife and I ended up having seconds. It was a fantastic breakfast that made for a great start to the day. The Onsen was also excellent; not only the large public bath but even the bath in our Room was more than satisfying. My wife especially loved the in-room bath and said it made her want to soak again and again—she enjoyed it to the fullest throughout our stay. We also enjoyed Kyoritsu Group’s signature late-night soba, which became one of our evening highlights. Above all, what impressed us most was the warm and courteous service from all staff members. We felt comfortable throughout our stay and could sense their genuine hospitality everywhere. This was a wonderful Onsen Accommodation that truly made us want to return. We’re grateful to everyone on staff for helping us spend such precious time here, and we would love to visit again in another season.

I stayed here with my parents and my 7-month-old daughter. It was even more baby-friendly than I expected! They provided a diaper disposal bin, baby bath, baby soap, bed guard, Bumbo seat, and even bath toys. In addition, the dining area for both breakfast and dinner was a private room. With tatami flooring, we could relax and enjoy our meals without worrying too much even if our baby crawled around or made a bit of noise. They also helped warm up baby food and provided tableware and a high-low chair, which was incredibly helpful. The food was delicious—we were truly satisfied! The staff also spoke to our daughter often, which made us feel very welcome. I especially recommend this place for families with children.

This was my second stay—last time with my family, and this time with my mother and siblings. The ocean is right in front of you, the Room is spacious, and the hot spring source is just behind the property. The number of dishes, the staff’s service, and everything about the Onsen—its quality, cleanliness, and variety—are all just right. It’s a truly wonderful Accommodation. It seems like New Year’s holidays are decided by lottery, but I’m hoping we get selected.

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at a comfortable pace. It was quiet and spotless throughout, and the Onsen was incredibly open and wonderful. Every meal was deeply delicious. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. I feel as if both my body and mind have been refreshed. I can hardly believe how reasonably priced it is. Thank you very much. I had been curious about Ochiairo for a long time, and this time we were finally able to stay as a family of four. Seeing the striking plant-dyed noren hanging at the entrance truly made my heart leap. After we arrived, we were shown to the lounge, where we could freely enjoy drinks and sweets. The Room was beautifully appointed with a wonderful sense of tradition, and we could also see the garden from the Room—an incredibly calming experience. The free-flowing hot spring bath by the river was outstanding, and in particular, the open-air bath where you can bathe in swimwear was something our family enjoyed together while chatting. The cuisine was also excellent—each dish carefully prepared down to the smallest detail, with a comforting warmth throughout. Especially memorable was the sakura shrimp at breakfast; it was so delicious that I ended up having three extra bowls of rice. The Ryokan staff’s hospitality was exceptionally attentive, making our stay thoroughly pleasant. In every respect, this is a first-class Accommodation. It is well worth traveling just to stay at Ochiairo. We even made our next Reservation during our stay. It was such a wonderful Accommodation that it made me want to make it our regular place—no, I will. Thank you for such a lovely time.

Last year, I was impressed by the variety of Onsen and the fresh vegetables, so I stayed again this year. The Room we chose had a bedroom on the second floor and a wonderful layout. We were thrilled to spot a wild squirrel from the balcony, even if only for a short time. I heard the chef has changed, so the overall impact was slightly different, but everything was delicious, with fresh vegetables featured throughout the menu. The morning tomato juice was just as fresh as ever and outstanding. Not only is the Onsen excellent, but there is also a wide selection of drinks available, making this Accommodation more satisfying than any other Onsen Accommodation. It’s a bit far from Tokyo, but I would love to stay again to relax with superb Onsen and fresh vegetables.

I seem to have booked an accessible room without realizing it, and was shown to a first-floor guest room. The in-room bathroom was an impressive stone design with great attention to detail, and the tub had plenty of continuously flowing water. The stone flooring was also slip-resistant, which felt reassuring. The clear Onsen water was silky-smooth—an excellent bath overall. That said, because the first-floor room is almost level with the embankment, bamboo grass has been planted for privacy and the room felt a bit dark, which was disappointing. With the special blinds set at just the right angle, views from outside are well blocked. Whether it was the mattress or something else, I slept very soundly. The large public baths are on the 3rd floor (women), 2nd floor (men), plus there are additional baths in the basement including a granite bath and an open-air rock bath. It’s fun to enjoy a variety of baths around the Accommodation from morning onward, and my companion was very satisfied as well and seemed refreshed. There are stairs to reach some of the basement baths and the open-air rock bath, so even younger guests should take care. Dinner featured local specialties such as salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, followed by more unpretentious yet delicious dishes—overall a very positive impression. Breakfast was also served seated in private or semi-private rooms, so we could enjoy it calmly. After flood damage, tasteful renovations have been done throughout; starting with the lobby, everything felt comfortable overall. However, since it isn’t newly built, there were slight slopes here and there in places like corridors. Being along the riverbank also means small insects can’t be completely avoided in summer. A Facility where you can feel the atmosphere of a classic Onsen inn. If I have another chance, I’d like to stay in a guest room on either the 2nd or 3rd floor.

The beautifully designed room was spotless and very relaxing. Soaking in the open-air bath while gazing at the garden was a slow, soul-warming experience. The dishes were beautifully presented, with carefully prepared dashi that brought out the best of each ingredient. For breakfast, we enjoyed freshly cooked white rice made in a clay pot. Above all, the staff’s warm smiles and thoughtful hospitality left a lasting impression. We were welcomed and seen off with genuine care. It was an even more wonderful stay than we had imagined. The room rate is certainly not cheap, but it felt well worth the price and more. We would love to visit again.

This time, I stayed one night at Atami Pearl Star Hotel with a married couple who were friends from my university days. The place was very clean and spacious, and the service was excellent. All of the meals were delicious, with just the right portions, and we finished everything. We also enjoyed a relaxed breakfast. They even had local guri tea available, which I was very happy about. The amenities were great as well, and what made me happiest was the bed. It was the same as mine at home—soft with just the right firmness—so I slept very well. When I visit Atami again, I would like to stay at this Hotel again.

I was immediately captivated by the rural scenery from the Room. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and we also used the private open-air bath. Every area was spotlessly cleaned, making it very pleasant. The in-Room amenities were thoughtfully prepared, and there was nothing missing—I felt you could arrive empty-handed and still enjoy a comfortable stay. I was especially impressed to find single-use packets of laundry detergent among the amenities; it really showed how considerate this Hotel is.

I had wanted, at least once, to step into “Salon Yamasato,” the private lobby lounge of Koshinosato—I've felt that way for the past 10 years. As we reached our 60th birthdays as a couple, we decided to make a Reservation and treat ourselves at this milestone. We truly loved the cuisine, amenities, and atmosphere. I was deeply impressed by the high-quality meals—it was an Accommodation with impeccable hospitality in every way. Also, the macarons and gelato at Kaho’s salon were absolutely top-class delicious—I couldn’t stop eating them. The flavor stayed with me, and I kept wondering what brand they were. It made me strongly want to come back again. Thank you very much. The concierge staff were also incredibly kind—simply wonderful.

Because we were visiting DisneySea in midsummer with two young grandchildren, we entered the park at a relaxed pace with an After 5 ticket. I had hoped to have lunch at “La La Italiana” inside the Hotel, but it was fully booked even on a weekday, which showed how popular it is. Since I really wanted to try it, I made a Reservation for lunch the next day. We checked in at 3:00 PM and took a short break before heading to DisneySea. There were frequent shuttle buses from the Hotel to the park, which was very convenient. Being able to borrow a stroller also greatly reduced the burden of getting around with our suitcases, and it helped us a lot. The 56 m² Room felt spacious, and the view from the 19th floor was great. The bathroom had an outside view and there was also a separate shower room. Because we reserved a Room with ReFa products, one shower head was ReFa and the other could switch to a tornado-style water flow—both were comfortable to use. After returning from the park, it was also helpful that we could use the Onsen “Hohoemi-no-Yu,” where our family could bathe one after another without hassle. For breakfast, they prepared seating for us on the 22nd floor so we could enjoy the view while having delicious food. The menu ranged from classics to gentle options for early mornings such as seafood rice porridge, as well as dashi chazuke where you can top rice with items like mentaiko or shiokara and pour broth over it—everything was excellent. The other dishes were mildly seasoned too, and I was happy they also offered a limited-time acai smoothie. I visited La La Italiana—which I had wanted to try after reading Reviews—after breakfast hours when it still wasn’t very quiet inside, but every dish was delicious. The prosciutto in particular had a mild saltiness that suited my taste perfectly. It was also great to drizzle honey over their cream (made by combining fresh cream and butter) and spread it on moist focaccia. The homemade salad dressing was tasty as well, making this an overall highly satisfying meal. Overall, this is a great-value Hotel where everything—from Facilities and dining to service—felt comfortable, and our family truly enjoyed our stay.

I was able to spend a truly luxurious time surrounded by peaceful, lush greenery. The hospitality was outstanding. The Room and the meals—everything exceeded my expectations. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

We booked the Plan with dinner on a riverside dining platform, and not only was the meal excellent, but we also had a wonderful time chatting with a maiko, which became a great memory.\nThe in-house Facilities were also superb, and we especially enjoyed the Onsen twice.\nWe were truly moved by the warm hospitality of all the staff. I love this Accommodation so much that I stay almost every month. This month, I stayed as a birthday treat for myself. I am always impressed by the wonderful hospitality from the front desk and dining staff. Thank you for celebrating my birthday and for the message card and celebratory plate! Please remove your shoes upon arrival; guests generally walk around in socks. I loved it from that moment on! The room felt modern, was quite spacious, and very clean—so impressive. All-you-can-drink is available from check-in until 21:00. I don’t drink alcohol myself, but there was a great selection and my companion was very happy. I was a bit disappointed that the “milk” seemed more like a milk beverage, but there were plenty of other drinks. It felt wonderful to enjoy drinks while soaking in the footbath. For dinner we chose the top course, and it was my first time having such amazing meat!!! The salad bar was also very satisfying. The foreign staff member who explained everything to us seemed sweet and new at the job—I couldn’t help but want to cheer her on. Her smile was lovely! Not just her—everyone on staff was kind and had great smiles. There are two baths: the “Beauty Bath” and the “Health Bath.” The Beauty Bath is definitely more exciting. There were ReFa shower heads with a mist setting, and the hair dryers were Panasonic and ReFa as well. It was also nice that you can borrow shampoo. I’d seen reviews saying there wasn’t much for breakfast, but I was satisfied! The curry had a Japanese-style flavor and was delicious. The croquettes were great too—I ate a lot. I also loved being able to eat lots of cherry tomatoes at both dinner and breakfast (I wonder where they’re from). Maybe it just happened to be that way during our stay, but most guests seemed older, and since there aren’t many rooms overall, it felt calm and relaxing—which I really liked. I’d love to stay again. It’s also nice that you can play park golf—I didn’t try it this time, but maybe I should have!

Located about an hour from Shinjuku and easy to reach, yet once you step inside, a beautiful, nature-filled garden unfolds and makes you forget everyday life in an instant. The Room was also wonderful—said to be a favorite of Hayao Miyazaki—with thoughtful details throughout, from the view from the round in-room bath to the uniquely textured corridors, creating a truly charming atmosphere. From arrival to departure, the staff’s warm hospitality and attentive care made our family feel completely at ease, allowing us to spend a very comfortable and happy time.

We stayed here to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, all of the staff were extremely courteous, and we were able to spend our time comfortably. They also kindly helped with a birthday surprise, which made our daughter very happy and turned it into a truly memorable birthday. The room had a calm atmosphere, and we were able to relax and enjoy the hot spring in the in-room bath. The hot spring in the large public bath also had a great view and was very refreshing. Every dish was delicious, and we loved the beautiful presentation that reflected the season. It was enjoyable to look at as well, and we were able to take our time over the meal. We are truly glad we chose this place for such an important day—our daughter’s birthday. It was a wonderful inn that made us want to stay again on another special occasion.

Hospitality & Service → I was warmly welcomed from check-in, and the staff responded pleasantly whenever I needed anything, which made me very happy. Onsen Baths → The large public bath was spacious, and the outdoor open-air bath area was also clean. I also appreciated the service of having drinks and towels available in front of the sauna room. Dining → I only had breakfast, but it was delicious.

Top-rated in every aspect that defines a Ryokan—Onsen, dining, comfort, and views. Truly one of the very best Ryokan in Kyushu. Next time, I’d like to stay for two nights.
