Thank you for taking care of our family. We visit Izu, which we love, several times a year, but in recent years it has been difficult for all of us to travel together. This time, our two children brought us to Gyokusui, a place I had been saying for a long time that I wanted to visit. Since we live in a landlocked prefecture, we tend to choose an Accommodation near the sea, but choosing Gyokusui this time was absolutely the right decision. It rained lightly on and off over the two days, but it was truly a fulfilling stay at the Accommodation. The greenery outside the window was so vivid, and everything—the private baths, large public bath, and open-air bath—was at just the right temperature and spotlessly clean and beautiful throughout. As there were five adults this time, instead of a Room with an open-air bath, we chose a Room with a footbath and a spacious terrace with great views. We relaxed while looking out at the garden and chatting. The meals were beautiful to look at and delicious as well—we all ate too much at both breakfast and dinner. No matter where you are in the Accommodation, it’s soothing. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

From the moment we arrived, your attentive yet warmly familiar hospitality was perfectly balanced. The entire property was kept impeccably clean and well maintained. The furnishings, interior design, fragrance, and tableware— everything reflected consistently high-quality service throughout. We were able to completely switch off from work during our stay and felt truly refreshed. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again as a special treat for ourselves.

We stayed here on a trip with a family we know, and it was wonderful as always. We’ve stayed several times, so both my wife and I can relax with peace of mind—this is our favorite hot spring Accommodation. The family staying with us was also very satisfied, making it the perfect vacation. Since one of our group had difficulty walking, we truly appreciate you accommodating our various requests. If you’re staying in Gero for the architecture, Yunoshimakan is the place; if you’re staying for great food, I’d say this is it—Suimeien. Every dish was delicious, and the ayu sweetfish in particular was outstanding. The annex where we stayed was an adults-only area, which may be why it was so quiet at night. I was able to truly relax for the first time in a while. It also felt special to have access to a private Onsen reserved exclusively for annex guests—it was a fun and memorable experience. Both large public baths had towels available at the entrance, so there was no need to go back to the Room to get one. I could enjoy the Onsen anytime on a whim without bringing anything with me. (I especially liked the large bath on the first floor.) There is also a spot inside where you can enjoy coffee while looking outside; after breakfast, I spent a relaxing time reading there. I was amazed at how spotless everything was throughout the property—surely thanks to the excellent work of your housekeeping staff. It truly became a wonderful trip. Thank you very much. I will definitely stay again.

From the Room balcony, we had a panoramic view of Shirahama Beach, the ocean, and the town—an unbeatable location. The Room was spacious and truly relaxing. The Hotel itself was lovely, and having a nice smoking room was a real plus for smokers. In the evening, we enjoyed delicious cocktails at the bar counter, and with live piano music it made for a wonderfully comfortable time. The view from the large public bath was also amazing—you can look down over the sea, and the ocean breeze felt incredibly refreshing. Dinner was an Italian course meal and everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet was great too, with both Japanese and Western options. The Hotel also has a pool and a gym, and it’s close to Shirahama World Safari and golf courses—perfect for families with children as well as golf lovers. It was such a wonderful Hotel that we’ll definitely want to visit again.

From spring through late autumn, you can stay with peace of mind without worrying about road conditions. As a compact Accommodation, it offers reliable service, an Onsen, meals, and great value overall. The private bath is free to use with no Reservation required—if the key is in the designated place, you can use it right away—making it an easy-to-understand and fair system for guests. The public bath is not very large but includes a sauna, and you can relax in the silky Onsen at your leisure, making this an Accommodation you can count on anytime.

We stayed in the maisonette as a family of four. Even with two beds and two futon sets, there was still plenty of living room space, so we could relax comfortably. The view from the open-air bath was outstanding. The meals were delicious, and it was a very satisfying stay.

A relaxing, tranquil Accommodation for adults. Watch the ever-changing sky, sea, and forest, and the sparkling stars; soak in the Onsen whenever you like; and enjoy high-quality meals... Above all, the staff’s hospitality is outstanding. During my stay, they never once asked for my name or Room number, and they even adjusted the end time of dinner to fit my spa Reservation. Thanks to their seamless communication and thoughtful care, I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. I will be back again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a birthday trip, and it truly was a completely satisfying stay. Dinner was top-class in every respect—flavor, presentation, and ingredient quality—and the smoked splendid alfonsino was especially outstanding. They also kindly prepared a special birthday message plate at dinner, which made us very happy. The restaurant service and atmosphere were wonderful as well. The Japanese breakfast the next morning was also high quality, and the presentation using a wooden bento box felt fresh and memorable. The Room was very spacious, and the ocean view from the second floor was breathtaking—sea and sky blending into one. Soaking in the open-air bath (Onsen) while gazing at the moon was an indescribably blissful moment. With no TV intentionally provided, we were able to enjoy a digital detox and fully immerse ourselves in nature. Our daughter loved the pool too, so I highly recommend it for families with children. The lounge bar offered a wide variety of drinks and alcohol, and it was convenient and appreciated that we could bring them back to our Room. We would definitely like to stay again.

It was a truly wonderful Onsen. I enjoyed soaking many times, including the private Onsen. Even my painful neuralgia completely subsided, and I forgot about it. I also drank a bit too much delicious sake, so I think I’ll take a break from alcohol for a while. It was two blissful days. This is an Accommodation I would definitely love to visit again.

Because it’s close to Zao, this was my first stay at this Accommodation. To put it mildly, it’s one of the best Accommodations I’ve ever stayed at. It’s fairly large, so the interiors and lobby are well appointed, but above all it’s quiet and comfortable. The large public bath with an open-air bath is excellent as well, and the teppanyaki cuisine was outstanding. There was nothing to complain about. The service struck just the right balance of attentiveness and distance, and everything was impeccably clean—I truly enjoyed my stay.

We truly enjoyed an elegant time as a couple while traveling with our pet. The Accommodation Fee was higher because we had a pet, but staying at the Hotel we had long dreamed of was wonderful, and we made the happiest memories. Our Room had an open-air bath and a bathing tub for dogs as well, and after filling it with five buckets of Onsen water, our pet looked warm and very comfortable. Before going to bed, we soaked once more in the Room’s open-air bath while watching a subtitled foreign film on the Room’s TV through the glass window, enjoying an extraordinary sense of luxury. We also loved the meals—Japanese cuisine is our favorite—and we were both very satisfied. I hope to visit again someday, and next time I would definitely like to stay in the main building where dogs are not allowed—those lingering feelings remain with me. I recently stayed at Yoshiharu, which I had been looking forward to for a long time. After reading Reviews on various sites, I decided to stay here for my trip to Izu—and it was absolutely the right choice. While waiting to check in after arriving at the Ryokan, we were offered complimentary drinks and sweets, and then we were given a thorough tour of the property. With five private hot-spring baths, a large public bath with a sauna, massage chairs, and a lounge space available morning and night (soft drinks, coffee, café au lait, tea, etc.), there are so many Facilities that the guided tour helped us enjoy everything to the fullest. The food was of course delicious—the Koshihikari rice was excellent, and the abalone was outstanding!! As others have said as well, this is truly an Accommodation you’ll want to visit again in another season. I will definitely be back.

Everything was wonderful, and I was especially impressed by how spacious the private bath was. Of course, the bath in the Room was also very relaxing, the meals were delicious, and the staff were kind and attentive—I loved everything. If I could make just one indulgent request, I would appreciate it if you could offer more savory snacks in the lounge (I wouldn’t mind paying for them), rather than only sweet items.

We stayed here on a family trip with my parents. The Room was spacious and airy, and the greenery visible from the window was truly beautiful—so we were able to relax from the moment we arrived. This time we stayed in two Rooms, “Sono Ichi” and “Sono Yon,” and both had large baths and were wonderful spaces where we could unwind completely. The staff’s thoughtfulness also left a strong impression. They responded attentively whenever needed, while maintaining a comfortable sense of distance that never felt intrusive. They warmly celebrated my mother’s birthday, which made my parents very happy. They even sent a forgotten item to our home, and we remained grateful until the very end of our stay. The meals were unforgettable as well. The cutlet was light yet full of rich lean-meat flavor, and absolutely delicious. And the ayu sweetfish was so good that everyone in our family agreed it was the best ayu we had ever had. From the Room and bath to the food and hospitality, everything was flawless. Thank you for making our precious family trip even more special.

The Onsen had wonderfully pleasant water with a silky, skin-clinging feel.

The Accommodation has a nostalgic, retro feel while still being very stylish and lovely. This time we stayed in the “Japanese Twin with Terrace” Room—tatami flooring, low beds, and a deck terrace. What impressed me most was how comfortable the bed was! I was told it’s a Nishikawa Muatsu mattress, and it truly felt amazing—I slept unbelievably well. The pillow was also excellent, and I completely fell in love with the bedding. I’d like to use the same one at home, so I would really appreciate it if you could tell me which type of Muatsu it is. The Onsen was wonderful as well. All three private baths had their own unique charm and were beautiful. The large public bath was also very relaxing—I ended up going in many times during our stay. As soon as you soak in the Onsen, your body warms up right away. The water feels soft, and your skin becomes moisturized and silky smooth. I also loved that bath towels were provided at the baths, so you can always use a clean one. Truly excellent therapeutic bathing. Unfortunately it rained this time—but because of that, we were able to take our time at the Accommodation, soak in the Onsen slowly, and enjoy doing nothing. We chose a Plan with 12:00 checkout, so we didn’t have to rush in the morning and could enjoy the Onsen until the very end. And then—the meals. Absolutely no complaints. Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. It was a meal where you can truly enjoy every course for what it is. And something I’ll never forget: draft Yebisu beer! After it arrived, the foam gradually rose up into a rich head—it looked delicious even before tasting. And when I tried it… it really was incredible. I honestly thought there aren’t many places where draft beer tastes this good—it moved me. This “Joshu Beef & Gunma’s Blessings / Three Free Private Open-Air Baths / 12:00 Checkout / A Nostalgic Holiday” Plan was absolutely perfect for me. Shima Onsen in the rain is wonderful too. Soak in the Onsen, eat well, drink well—and sleep incredibly well. In this charming retro Accommodation, I had an amazing time that relaxed both my mind and body. All of the staff were pleasant as well, and the overall atmosphere throughout the Accommodation felt very comfortable. We felt great from start to finish during our stay. The Onsen, meals, bedding—and above all else—the warm hospitality from everyone on staff. Everything felt so comfortable that this is an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again.

This was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Our family takes trips to Onsen Accommodations that are doable from Tokyo for one night about 2–3 times a year, usually spending around 30,000–40,000 yen per person. My wife chooses the Accommodation each time, but lately none have been memorable or particularly appealing. This time, though, we finally found an Accommodation we genuinely want to visit again. Many of the staff are from Southeast Asia; when I asked, I was told they have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 and also undergo a one-year training period. We never once had any trouble communicating. I previously lived in Thailand for about five years for work, so I already knew people from Southeast Asia tend to be even more serious and hardworking than many Japanese—but I was still impressed by just how high the standard was here, and we were able to spend a very comfortable time. These days many staff don’t wear name tags (perhaps due to measures against customer harassment), so I don’t know her name, but thank you sincerely to the woman in charge of our Room—she was wonderful and very thoughtful. The all-staff send-off after checkout truly moved me. As for the Onsen: honestly both the water quality and bath area were fairly standard, but everything was very clean. One thing I did notice is that it’s great not having to bring towels into the bath area; however, you still need to bring things like a change of underwear or your phone. In the end we put them in a plastic supermarket bag out of necessity, but I would have liked a larger drawstring pouch (like those often provided at other Onsens) to be available in the Room. Also, my wife said she felt scared because it was dark on the way to the large bath as well as inside it. Lastly, we felt the air conditioner noise was slightly loud—just mentioning it in case. And the meals were outstanding! The balance, portion size, and taste—everything was excellent with nothing to complain about. Because I’m big-built I eat quite a lot and meals at Accommodations often aren’t enough for me; this time I shared small portions of my wife’s meal with our son as well and still felt about 90% full. While breakfast can be disappointing at many places these days, breakfast here was also solid—and it wasn’t that thin crispy dried horse mackerel you often see everywhere else either (which was nice). Above all else: the wasabi was delicious! Being able to get refills freely made it even better. In any case, we definitely want to come again—thank you very much.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate a birthday. From the meals and baths to the Room amenities and Shuttle Service, everything was filled with hospitality, and they were flexible in accommodating our requests, making our stay truly enjoyable and happy. Some Accommodations offer inclusive bar drinks or well-equipped Rooms, but this place is on another level—we were able to enjoy an extraordinary sense of luxury. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!

This was my first stay in Yufuin Onsen. We stayed in a two-bedroom Room with an open-air bath. Each Room was separate, so it was very quiet and relaxing. The Onsen water left my skin feeling smooth, so I thought it might be alkaline. You can adjust the temperature of the open-air bath to your liking, which is perfect for anyone who prefers lukewarm baths! The Room felt a bit old, but it was spacious and easy to use. What I liked most was the firmness of the bed. I believe it was a Simmons mattress—just right. My wife loved it too. I didn’t have high expectations for the meals given the price, but we enjoyed them, including wagyu sukiyaki. The bottled beer we ordered with dinner was 650 yen, which felt inexpensive for Hotel pricing. Overall, I recommend this Hotel for those who want to relax and enjoy the hot water and nature without leaving their Room. Since it’s far from town, I recommend shopping in advance.
