I made a Reservation because it was close to both my destination and the station. The price was low, and I was also drawn by the name “Washington.” Even though I booked the lowest-rate No Meals Included plan just to sleep, the Room was clean, I had a great view from the top floor, and I could enjoy a welcome drink—everything was excellent. I’d like to stay again.

This was my first stay, and both the view and the meals were excellent. The large public bath was a bit too hot for me, but I really enjoyed the massage chair. The Room was wonderful, so I made a Reservation for my next stay because I want to stay in the same Room again. I’m looking forward to it, and I hope to visit again soon.

A one-night trip with three friends. On the day of our stay, they picked us up at the station regardless of our arrival time, and after checkout they stored our luggage and later drove us back to the station after sightseeing. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, we were able to relax in the Onsen, and the Room was spacious—making it a truly wonderful trip. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again. This was my first time staying here. At first, I wasn’t sure about a standalone house in the mountains, but once I arrived, it far exceeded my expectations. The Room was more spacious than I imagined, the Onsen was free-flowing with a gentle quality to the water, and above all, the meals were not only delicious but also very generous. This Accommodation offers something truly special that you won’t find elsewhere. As someone who loves traveling, it’s an Accommodation I genuinely want to recommend to others from the bottom of my heart.

While the Facility shows its age, the view from the window and the wonderful hospitality of the staff more than make up for it. Even though it was a busy season, we were able to truly relax. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for letting us stay in a non-smoking Room this time. The Room was spacious and the view was wonderful—everything was perfect. I also thought it was rare to have a foot bath, and it felt great. Everyone who assisted us made a great impression, and whenever we had questions, they kindly helped us, which we really appreciated. It’s close to the station and also near sightseeing spots, so the location was excellent. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity. We had a very comfortable stay—thank you so much!

We stayed here as three generations, traveling with my parents-in-law. Before our stay, I contacted the Accommodation twice to ask whether our Rooms could be on the same floor, whether we could dine in the same venue, and about meals for the children. Both times, the staff responded courteously, which made us feel at ease on the day of arrival. As this is a long-established Ryokan, the building is not new, but it has a calm atmosphere that suited my parents-in-law perfectly. Some wallpaper in parts of the Room was peeling, and perhaps due to a special type of wallpaper there was some fuzz that seemed to float around, but overall the Room was relatively clean. The meals were kaiseki-style and just the right amount; our family enjoyed them very much. The staff also explained each dish carefully, making it a truly pleasant dining experience. There was also an excellent selection of alcoholic drinks. When traveling with children we often end up choosing buffet-style dining elsewhere, so it was a great experience for them to enjoy kaiseki cuisine as well. In the lounge, perhaps because it is open to non-staying guests too, all seats were taken at first; once seats became available they called our Room via internal phone so we could use it. We were able to spend relaxing time together as a family. As for the Onsen, there is nothing to complain about—the water quality was wonderful and the large public bath was clean. Overall, I felt that the high level of hospitality from all staff members is what drives guest satisfaction here. The Facility itself may not stand out compared with other Ryokan in every respect, but their hospitality more than makes up for it. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful Accommodation where we could relax, take our time, and unwind. All the staff greeted us with smiles and guided us efficiently and pleasantly. From the Room window, the Hoki River flowed swiftly, and the sound of the water was quite loud, but we actually found it soothing and it added to the feeling of being on a trip. The Onsen included a large public bath and an open-air bath, and the water temperature was just right—very comfortable. However, depending on where you stand, you may be able to see into the bathroom from the Room window, so those who are concerned may want to be mindful of that. For dinner, they kindly changed a meat dish to a fish dish; my husband, who doesn’t like meat, was very happy, and everything was delicious—we enjoyed great conversation as well. Also, being able to dine in a private room was a plus: it felt more relaxed than in-room dining while still allowing us to enjoy our meal calmly without worrying about others nearby. With an 11:00 check-out time, we were able to take it easy in the morning too—this Accommodation was perfect for my husband and me as we like taking small trips for rest and a change of pace. The complimentary drinks (including plenty of alcohol) and breakfast were excellent. With those Facilities and that level of service at such a low price, it was outstanding. If I had to mention one thing, the washing area in the Onsen is small, so it would be appreciated if women’s hours could be longer.

It was wonderful. The castle town, the Hotel doors with stained glass, and the European-style furnishings created a lovely contrast between Japanese and Western elements. The canal view from the window was beautiful and truly moving! All the staff were kind, so I felt at ease throughout my stay. Dinner was delicious! The butter-grilled turban shell? Pouring the last of the sauce over bread was amazing! The fugu sashimi and the meat were also excellent. The cypress bath in the Room was spacious and relaxing. Everything was great, but one thing I noticed was that the mat in the Room felt a bit small. Also, it was disappointing that I bumped into a sofa corner that was too sharp and it hurt. What I loved is that you can rent bicycles! I enjoyed exploring Hagi by visiting Shoka Sonjuku Academy and Meirin Gakusha. I would definitely like to stay again!

This was my second stay this year because I particularly enjoyed the food last time. Originally a bank's retreat, the compact front desk and building layout reflect its history. There is no greeting upon arrival, luggage assistance, or farewell service (you carry your luggage to the third-floor front desk yourself and leave on your own). However, I appreciate the stunning ocean view from the hilltop location and the cozy atmosphere with only 10 rooms. The Onsen features a 78-degree natural hot spring source, with a slightly small but pleasant open-air bath and high-quality massage chairs. This time, I stayed in a Western-style room near the elevator that was added later; it was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. The only downside was that the sink and toilet were adjacent without separation—though it did provide an open feel upon reflection. Dinner could only be enjoyed at the restaurant (unlike last time when in-room dining allowed for more relaxation), which was disappointing as wearing loungewear is not permitted—I would have preferred to dine in a relaxed atmosphere in loungewear. Starting February next year, dinner times will shift to two seatings; however, I hope they maintain flexibility like now where you can choose every 30 minutes. The food met expectations—delicious despite not using particularly expensive ingredients—with intricate sauces and beautiful presentation that truly felt like fine cuisine. Breakfast also offered plenty of variety and quality. Before dinner at the lounge, I ordered Royal Milk Tea which was so delicious that I ordered it again in the morning while enjoying an elegant atmosphere with ocean views through large windows. A staff member kindly offered to take my photo during this time while explaining distant scenery details—a friendly gesture that elevated my impression of this accommodation’s overall service level. Its convenient distance from Osaka makes me want to visit again!

It was the best stay. The hospitality was better than any Hotel I have stayed at, and the staff were truly wonderful. We enjoyed hearing various stories during the Shuttle Service ride. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, amenities, and minibar. The view from the Room was absolutely breathtaking, and we were able to spend a truly happy day. Of course, the food was also very satisfying. The main dishes—venison and sweetfish—were incredibly delicious and made us want to come back again.

This was my first stay. When we needed to change our dates due to a typhoon hitting directly, you handled it very courteously. The Room, the large public bath, and the breakfast were all excellent—I was completely satisfied. I would like to stay again next time. Thank you very much for everything.

Our family of four stayed on the concierge floor, split between two Rooms. The location was extremely convenient, right above the station. The Rooms were spotless and very comfortable, with wonderful views, and we also felt at ease thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff. We also enjoyed the lounge services. I would recommend this Accommodation to friends and would love to stay again.

We searched for an all-inclusive, ocean-view Hotel with breakfast and dinner buffets and a pool, and stayed here as a family during our summer vacation. The wide variety of all-inclusive options, the breakfast and dinner buffets with live cooking stations, the pool, and the many types of Onsen were all wonderful. We also enjoyed the free soap-making activity with our child. Everyone at the Hotel was truly kind. They always greeted us with smiles and attentive service, never showing any sign of being busy or affected by the heat. We were deeply impressed by their hospitality and were able to relax at a very leisurely pace. Even during the Shuttle Service on our departure day, they saw us off at the bus despite how busy mornings are—we were touched until the very end. We would definitely like to stay again. It was an amazing summer memory for both children and adults—everything was taken care of.

The Room was spacious, the Facilities were excellent, and everything was kept very clean, making for a wonderful stay. I made a Reservation without breakfast, but changed it and tried it—everything was delicious. Each ingredient left a great impression. Best of all was the staff service; everyone was extremely courteous and made my stay very comfortable. The next time I stay in Naha, I would love to return.

This was my first time staying here. I have stayed at The Gate Hotel Asakusa and Yurakucho several times, but this was my first time at Ryogoku. The service was excellent and it was quiet, so I could relax and rest well. The Room was spacious, and the bathtub was larger than expected, making my stay very comfortable. I would like to stay again.

From the moment we arrived, your attentive yet warmly familiar hospitality was perfectly balanced. The entire property was kept impeccably clean and well maintained. The furnishings, interior design, fragrance, and tableware— everything reflected consistently high-quality service throughout.
