Not only was the Room wonderful, but the host was truly kind. Even though I contacted them just two days in advance to plan a surprise celebration for my companion, they prepared a message plate and even decorated the Room for us. I’d love to stay again.

This is the most satisfying Ryokan I have ever stayed at. The hospitality was beyond anything I could have imagined. The owner, the proprietress, and all the staff were wonderful people, and their warmth truly touched my heart. The meals, centered on seafood, featured outstanding ingredients and careful preparation—I was completely satisfied. What deserves special mention is the owner’s 100% buckwheat handmade soba: its aroma and smoothness were exceptional. I live in a prefecture known as a soba mecca, but I have never had soba better than this. Even the breakfast vegetables were all pesticide-free and homegrown, made with real care. The Onsen water was a reddish cloudy spring that felt gentle on the skin and relieved my fatigue. The building has a dignified presence with a sense of history. In every way it was outstanding—an Accommodation that makes you want to return again soon.

I made a Reservation after seeing this Accommodation featured by a YouTuber. The property was clean and airy, and the view from our Room was wonderful. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we felt completely at home—overall, we were very satisfied. Most of all, we were impressed by how kind and thoughtful the staff were in their attentive greetings. We stayed as a family of three with our 11-month-old baby. Upon request, they provided a baby crib and a diaper disposal bin in the Room, and we could also enjoy the heated pool together, so we felt comfortable even with a small child. At dinner, they prepared a private dining room for us, which allowed us to relax without worrying about disturbing other guests when our daughter became fussy. It was an unhurried course meal that lasted nearly two hours, but every time the staff came in they spoke gently to her; even though she is shy around strangers, she stayed happy and smiling throughout. Thank you as well for warming up her baby food. Traveling with a child can be tiring in many ways, but thanks to the Facilities and the warmth of the staff here, we were able to take things at our own pace and truly relax. Thank you very much. The afternoon tea and light meals are excellent, so I recommend having a lighter lunch before your 3:00 PM check-in.

This year again, we spent our wedding anniversary in memory-filled Karuizawa. For us, this is truly a wonderful Hotel. With a typhoon approaching, we were worried the weather might turn severe, but the Hotel was so quiet and peaceful that we forgot all about it. Surrounded by delicious food and wine and the thoughtful care of the staff, we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much. We plan to stay again in autumn.

Because my husband is from Nagaoka, we come from Tokyo to Niigata every year during the Obon season. Our usual routine is to go swimming at Kakudahama Beach first, then stay at Hotel Asuka. The made-to-order dinner buffet is delicious, and the food comes out quickly. The dishes you can pick up anytime are also great, so I always end up eating too much. Both the long-time staff and the newer team members are truly pleasant and welcoming—it makes me feel at home. This is my favorite hotel that I look forward to visiting every year. We’ll be back again next year, so thank you in advance.

This was my first time visiting Sarugakyo Onsen, and to be honest, it didn’t feel like there was much sightseeing, but this Accommodation was so wonderful that I’d come back just to stay here again. The staff were all very hospitable, and the food was excellent. The pizza in particular was truly delicious—I ended up eating far too much. I’d love to visit again! Thank you very much.

I have stayed here many times. The meals are served buffet-style to order, with each dish carefully and beautifully presented, and everything tastes amazing. The menu changes with the seasons, and it’s so delicious that I always end up eating too much. On my dog’s birthday, the staff also offered their congratulations. Everyone speaks kindly to the dogs, and my dogs truly enjoy it. The spa treatments, Onsen, food, and staff—everything is soothing, and the hospitality is always outstanding no matter when we visit.

I’ve stayed at many Accommodations, but I may have never felt this comfortable anywhere else. We decided to go to Hakone on short notice and made a Reservation. The food was beyond words—watching it disappear was genuinely sad (in the best way). When my father dropped his napkin and I went to pick it up, a staff member immediately came over and brought a fresh one. Even though our Reservation was last-minute, they also prepared an anniversary message plate for my parents. This is true hospitality! The open-air bath in the Room was pure luxury, and the water felt wonderful. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to return to. Thank you so much!

Every dish was delicious. I was especially captivated by the flavor and presentation of the Japanese-style mousse. With each course that followed, I could feel the care put into every detail, and even the dessert was outstanding. If it were closer, I would want to stay every time the menu changes. In the past, I loved the cuisine at a nearby Ryokan and stayed there every month. However, when the head chef changed, I was surprised at how much the taste could change even though the menu remained the same. I truly hope your cuisine will continue to be preserved. Each staff member welcomed us with a warm, natural smile and kind service, and it made me feel this is a wonderful Ryokan. Thank you very much.

A foot-wiping towel was provided at the entrance, and we had a wonderful 3-day, 2-night stay—thank you to all the staff for their hospitality. They kindly accommodated our personal requests, and the team’s service—like that of a luxury Hotel concierge—made us feel we’d love to come back again next year. If I had to mention just one suggestion, there is a microwave on the lobby counter, and I would have liked to see a free drink dispenser placed nearby. The service and value for money are outstanding, so even if the room rate were higher, it wouldn’t be an issue at all.

I stayed at this Accommodation as a well-deserved solo getaway to escape the daily routine of housework and childcare. It was my first time trying an order-style buffet, and it brought me far more happiness than I ever imagined. Since I usually focus on my child’s meals and put my own last, I think it was a bit of a rebound—I happily kept eating for about 2.5 hours, refilling my favorite appetizers whenever I wanted, and going back for dessert again and again… It was an experience you simply can’t have with a set course meal. As an adult, you really do “taste with your eyes” too: having dishes beautifully plated right in front of me at the counter with perfectly matched herbs gave me a different kind of satisfaction from an ordinary buffet. Even though I thought I might feel overly full, there were plenty of vegetables as well, so by the next morning I had a good appetite again—and went back for seconds once more. The soup was especially delicious! Because the Accommodation clearly puts so much effort into the dining experience, other aspects of service felt fairly simple by comparison. The bath facilities were great: high-quality Onsen water and a spacious public bath, plus an open-air bath in the public area that I really enjoyed. Personally, the Onsen felt good enough that I didn’t feel strongly about needing a private open-air bath. One thing: since there is also a sauna in the public bath area, I would have loved to have a water dispenser near the changing room. As this is an all-inclusive Accommodation, I hope to see that added in the future. I’d also like to visit other properties in the Ichinobo Group someday. Thank you very much.

I often stay at international Hotels these days and usually come home impressed wherever I go, but this place was in a class of its own. Since the Hotel has only recently opened, it’s natural that the Facilities are spotless, but the hospitality was truly outstanding—really! My friend and I even promised we would definitely come back. Breakfast at Gion Kawakami and the rooftop bar were both excellent as well. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

All the staff had wonderful smiles, the art-filled space was relaxing, and the food was excellent—our child was smiling the whole time. We thought it would be even better if children could stay together in a wider variety of Rooms. It became a great summer memory.

I’d been wanting to visit for a long time, and I treated myself to a Multiple Night Stay solo to truly relax. I’m so glad I chose this place! I’ve stayed at many Hotels and Ryokans in Japan and abroad, and this has become one of my top three favorites. Everything used throughout the Hotel is carefully selected and meticulously maintained. The staff were warm and kind in such a natural way—it was genuinely soothing. And the food—absolutely unforgettable! I had all three meals here, and if only I had another stomach, I would have loved to try even more from the menu. There were plenty of fresh local vegetables; everything was truly delicious, beautifully presented with great taste, and above all, you could feel the chef’s love in every dish. It makes perfect sense that so many guests return again and again. It was hot in midsummer, but I rented an e-bike, rode to the beach, and went for a swim. Just as rumored, the water was crystal clear—the beach was stunning—and it left me feeling completely refreshed. I will definitely come back in another season. This is a relaxing Accommodation. The staff always welcome us warmly. There are also several international staff members, and I’m impressed by how well they speak Japanese. I hope they keep up the great work. The food is delicious, and no matter how many times I have it, I never get tired of it. This time, I tried the Western-style breakfast for the first time, and it was quite good. I will visit again. Thank you very much.

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at a comfortable pace. It was quiet and spotless throughout, and the Onsen was incredibly open and wonderful. Every meal was deeply delicious. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. I feel as if both my body and mind have been refreshed. I can hardly believe how reasonably priced it is. Thank you very much. We stayed to celebrate my mother’s discharge from the hospital. Based on our previous stay, you kindly accommodated our requests and avoided ingredients we cannot eat without us having to mention them this time, and we truly felt your outstanding hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel—the view from the balcony, the comfortable Room, and the delicious meals—and my mother was very happy as well. Thank you for celebrating with us. 　I especially love the atmosphere of your pool. I hope you will continue to maintain an environment where it is easy to swim and no one takes prohibited photos. Next time, we would like to visit again around autumn or winter.

All the staff were incredibly kind and warm. They responded quickly when I wasn’t feeling well, and thanks to that I was able to enjoy my trip without changing any of my plans. My first enzyme bath also helped relieve my fatigue. If it were closer, I’d feel like coming even once a month. The French restaurant was outstanding—the fish and vegetables were fresh and delicious. The wine pairing was perfect, and we enjoyed it very much. For breakfast we chose the Japanese set, and the kenchin-jiru soup—something I hadn’t had in a long time—was excellent. There was a wide variety of dishes, all delicious. The Room was comfortable as well, and we were satisfied with everything—we would definitely like to visit again. With easy access from Junglia and wanting to stay on Kouri Island, I made a Reservation here. It was very convenient—less than a 30-minute drive from Junglia! On the way, seeing the view from Kouri Bridge again after a long time really got me excited! When I arrived at the Hotel and headed to the entrance, a staff member came out to greet me and carried my luggage for me. Since I checked in much earlier than planned, I asked if it would be possible to make a dinner Reservation, and they kindly accommodated me (it may have been the last available seat). Just like the Reviews said, the food here was outstanding! For dinner, I ordered beef sirloin steak, hamburger steak, garlic shrimp, and other Okinawan dishes. Every dish was carefully prepared with great seasoning—truly impressive. Breakfast included freshly baked bread, a salad plate, soup, and coffee; both the portion size and taste were completely satisfying. The Room was exactly as shown in the photos—stylish and clean with a white-and-blue theme—and it was very comfortable. Personally, I really appreciated having a vanity separate from the sink area; it was very convenient to use. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Kouri Island next time!

A beautiful garden that reflects the seasons—so captivating you could gaze at it forever. Elegant summer décor that lets you fully experience Kyoto’s traditional culture. Hanging scrolls, ikebana, and a beautifully arranged Room down to every detail. The head chef, attendants, the young proprietress, and the proprietress herself offer warm, attentive hospitality with genuine grace. Thinking that all of this beauty is an expression of love for each guest fills me with freshness and gratitude. At Kikkawa, you can feel the refined spirit of Kyoto—an appreciation for making everyday life beautiful and joyful. It began as an Accommodation I hoped to stay at at least once in my life; before I knew it, this was my 11th visit. A superb culinary Ryokan I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who truly loves Kyoto.
