Although it’s a small Hotel, there are enough staff on hand, so it’s easy to ask even minor questions. Everyone is pleasant, and their greetings feel warm and friendly. The building has the charm of being built in more prosperous times—high ceilings and tasteful décor. The oceanfront lobby also offers a variety of small snacks and drinks that guests are free to enjoy. The bath is spacious, clean, and available 24 hours a day, which is wonderful. The ocean-facing reclining bath is especially relaxing. There are also two massage chairs that you can use at your leisure. Dinner is quite generous in portion size, so it would be nice to have a prix-fixe option. Surprisingly, the breakfast curry is excellent, with large chunks of tender beef throughout. The food is delicious overall, and it’s fun to try dishes that incorporate local ingredients in fresh ways. This Hotel is perfect for a relaxing getaway.

I visit on business every year, but this was my first stay in Kaike Onsen. Since I was here for work, I wasn’t expecting anything special, but not only was the Onsen wonderful—the meals were excellent as well. The sunset over the Sea of Japan from our spacious Room was absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely like to stay again next time. Thank you very much.

All the meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. The staff provided excellent service, and we were very satisfied with the bath in the Room, which we could use at our convenience.

This was our second stay, and we stayed with my elderly mother. We thoroughly enjoyed the conger eel dinner and the Japanese breakfast. We were also able to relax comfortably in the barrier-free private open-air bath. Thank you to all the Hotel staff for your courteous service.

This was my first time staying at a Hotel in Shimonoseki. The Room was clean and I had a comfortable stay. I will definitely stay here again.

We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with crab, so we made a Reservation at the last minute. When we arrived, the proprietress welcomed us with a warm smile, and after check-in at the front desk, she kindly showed us to our Room. The building itself has a sense of history, and there are stairs and steps throughout, so it may be a bit challenging for guests with mobility issues. The Room isn’t large, but it was spotless, and thoughtful touches—like a heated carpet laid over the tatami—made it feel especially comfortable. After changing into yukata, we headed straight to the Onsen. We started with the large public bath only; even the baskets in the changing area were lovely and lifted our spirits. Once inside, we were impressed by the very high ceiling and stylish design—stained-glass doors and an elegant layout that created a wonderfully open atmosphere. Then came dinner—the highlight we’d been looking forward to. First was a refreshing sudachi aperitif that was delicious. The sashimi starter featured sweet shrimp that were wonderfully plump, and the firefly squid dressed with vinegared miso was surprisingly tender—the gentle flavor of the miso dressing was perfect. I’m not enough of a crab connoisseur to confidently tell all the differences (like tagged crab), but since it was a special occasion, we chose a Plan that included Taiza crab sashimi—and it had an incredible melt-in-your-mouth sweetness... We could enjoy it not only with crab vinegar but also with sudachi or salt—truly outstanding! That alone almost would have satisfied us—but this is where things really began: fragrant grilled crab; a rich yet clean-tasting Taiza crab miso soup; then crab hot pot followed by rice porridge; dessert of crab ice cream; and even chocolate mousse to celebrate our anniversary. It’s frustrating that all I can say is “delicious,” because everything really was. After dinner, we relaxed in the private bath we had reserved without worrying about anyone else around us, changed into pajamas (a very welcome touch!), and drifted off completely satisfied... The next morning we visited the bath with an open-air tub. This outdoor bath also had an ocean view and felt wonderful—we soaked slowly and enjoyed every moment. Breakfast was classic Japanese style—simple but delicious... It was my first time trying heshiko, and it was so good that I even used the discount voucher on our way out to buy some. They saw us off with warm smiles until the very end, making this an incredibly satisfying wedding anniversary trip. Thank you very much!

I stayed here with my elderly mother. We used a universal Room, and it was very easy for her to use, so she seemed to enjoy staying overnight for the first time in a while. It was our first time using a universal Room, but we would be happy to stay again if we can book this Room. Thank you very much for your thoughtful support.

Mercure. With all-inclusive service and an Onsen, it was perfect for a long stay. We stayed for 6 nights, and all the staff were kind and cheerful, making it extremely comfortable.\nBoth breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we were very satisfied. Having an Onsen was a great bonus.\nAlthough it rained often, we never got bored. It’s a Hotel we’d love to return to.\nAlso! My husband, who loves alcohol, was thrilled that he could enjoy Tosa sake in many different brands, and he said he wants to come again.\nWe were worried about access at first, but Nishibun Station was within walking distance for a pleasant stroll.

We had to cancel our Okinawa trip due to a typhoon. Then I remembered Iojima, which my husband’s mother had recommended, and looked it up. Because it was last-minute, the only availability was a BBQ Plan in a dog-friendly Room, but we made a Reservation anyway—and it turned out to be amazing! We don’t have pets, so I worried about odors or hearing dogs from other Rooms, but everything was spotless and we didn’t notice anything at all. The Room also had an ocean view and felt incredibly refreshing. For dinner, we thought two days of BBQ in the summer heat might be too much, so we asked the front desk—just in case—if we could change one day’s meal. They kindly accommodated us, and on the second night we were able to enjoy a course dinner. (This may have been because we originally booked an upgraded option above the standard BBQ.) The BBQ itself was delicious with plenty of variety, and eating while looking out at the sea was fantastic. For breakfast, we could choose from three different restaurants with different menus. Guests could also enjoy complimentary lemon water and chilled tea at various spots around the island. There were lots of activities: sports and games in the gym; ocean athletics and marine sports (extra charge) by the beach; a manga corner near the baths; an indoor pool; Onsen facilities; and even an open-air bath with ocean views. We truly had an incredible three days. Since each area is spread out, you can rent bicycles for free, and there is also a shuttle bus that circulates around the island. All of the Accommodation staff were kind and attentive, helping us create wonderful family memories. Thank you very much.

It was our first trip to Okinawa in a while. In the past, we traveled with our children and visited many places, so we didn’t spend much time at the Hotel. Now that we are both in our 60s, we enjoyed a relaxing Multiple Night Stay for two nights. Because it is a remote island a little far from Naha, we could truly feel the authentic, non-touristy Okinawa. Not only was the food wonderful, but being warmly chatted with by the staff was the greatest “reward” of all. We became fans of Kouri Island and One Suite. We would love to visit again.

I stayed here to visit Hakodate Racecourse. I stayed last year as well and it was excellent, so this was a repeat visit. Among the major Hotels in Yunokawa Onsen, this one seems to be the closest to the racecourse. It’s about a 15-minute walk, and there’s also a streetcar, so it’s convenient for getting into the city. There are also a convenience store, COOP supermarket, and drugstore nearby. In any case, there are very few Rooms, so it never feels crowded. The large public bath is also quiet. Since it is connected to the neighboring Takubokutei, you can also use Takubokutei’s large public bath and shop. (Guests staying at Takubokutei cannot use Kaikyo no Kaze.) The Room is simply spacious—comfortable even with the standard type. This time I chose a Room with a private bath, and that bath was outstanding: spacious with great Onsen water quality. Having two sinks was also very convenient. Even the tissue box was full-size like at home. The only disappointment was that both the Room window and the bathroom window were dirty, so I couldn’t clearly enjoy the view through them. Since I was on a high floor, cleaning the windows may be difficult, but I had been looking forward to “a panoramic view of the Tsugaru Strait,” so it fell slightly short of expectations. This time I booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, and both meals were truly excellent. There were plenty of Hokkaido ingredients with lots of variety on the menu—including several kinds of desserts—and I ate so much that I didn’t need lunch afterward. Meal times were scheduled in advance as well, so there was no crowding. Next year I’d like to stay again with my daughter—the three of us together. Also starting next year my son is scheduled to be transferred to Sapporo, so I’d like to recommend it to him too.

Everything was excellent—the view, the service, and the Room. I will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Although I have stayed at HIRAMATSU several times, HIRAMATSU Atami offered the most heartfelt hospitality.

The food, Room, and large public bath were all perfect! This was my first stay in two years, and the food was just as delicious as before! Please let me stay again next time!

Because my husband is from Nagaoka, we come from Tokyo to Niigata every year during the Obon season. Our usual routine is to go swimming at Kakudahama Beach first, then stay at Hotel Asuka. The made-to-order dinner buffet is delicious, and the food comes out quickly. The dishes you can pick up anytime are also great, so I always end up eating too much. Both the long-time staff and the newer team members are truly pleasant and welcoming—it makes me feel at home. This is my favorite hotel that I look forward to visiting every year. We’ll be back again next year, so thank you in advance.

On our first trip to Aomori, we stayed the night before the Nebuta Festival for the first time, and everything—the meals, drinks, service, and Onsen—was excellent. Our three-generation family was very satisfied when we left. If I had to ask for one thing, a massage chair would make it even better. We were completely satisfied and truly enjoyed Aomori. Thank you very much.

Third visit I accidentally made a Reservation for the Japanese restaurant, but they kindly accommodated my last-minute change. When I mentioned during the Reservation that it was my daughter’s birthday, they surprised us at dinner with a beautiful bouquet and a special dessert plate. We were truly satisfied with their warm hospitality. Above all, we enjoyed what felt like a private beach far from any crowds, along with the infinity pool and sauna. Surrounded by crystal-clear sea and sky, we had an unforgettable time. The food was delicious as well! We’ll be back again.

The sashimi platter was served from the start, and there was an excellent selection of Ehime’s local dishes—everything was delicious. They also offered sake tasting samples, and the two friends I invited were very happy as well. As with Okunoshima where I stayed recently, Kyukamura doesn’t provide lots of towels like a Hotel: one bath towel per person, plus one brand-new Kyukamura face towel per person (in a bag). There was also one face towel in the washroom. Even hand towels would be fine, but it would be helpful to have three in the washroom for our group; I can accept not having spare bath towels.

I had an important engagement and stopped by your city for the first time in four years on my way back from a business trip, and stayed one night. Because I felt more wear and tear than expected at the flagship Hotel where I stayed on my previous visit, I was looking for another option in the convenient city center when I found this Hotel. It is close to the station, with easy access to limousine buses, local buses, and taxis, so I hardly felt any of the transportation inconvenience that can be common in regional cities. As it is newly opened, the Room was clean, and the view from my Room—overlooking the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and all of Imabari—was wonderful. (It would have been even better if the windows were a bit larger.) Breakfast offered a relatively wide selection and tasted good as well, and I also really appreciated the complimentary welcome drink upon arrival on a hot day. The large public bath was spacious and clean, and being able to gaze at the night view through a large, beautiful window helped me unwind from the day’s fatigue and feel refreshed. It’s great that Imabari now has such a good Hotel. One point to note—not as something good or bad—is that there seem to be many international guests. I work in an international field so it didn’t bother me at all, but some people may feel unsettled seeing many overseas visitors in places like the lobby or large public bath in a regional city like Imabari. That said, during my stay there were no guests with poor manners.

I was surprised to find someone waiting to welcome us at the entrance when we arrived by car. We were greeted by the scent of lilies, and while waiting our turn for check-in, my husband quickly started enjoying a beer. Our Room was on the 3rd floor and felt more spacious than expected. The tatami flooring made it very comfortable. The view from the window was wonderful, and we kept it open for a while just to enjoy it. The amenities were well stocked, and we didn’t feel any inconvenience. One thing I noticed was that there was quite a large step up into the in-room toilet, which made me a little worried about tripping if I got up during the night. What stood out most was the wide variety of dishes at dinner. The boat platter we reserved was extremely fresh, and the sushi prepared right in front of us was delicious as well. I love grilled seafood, and I went back for it twice. The steak was also excellent. We couldn’t possibly try everything—of course there wasn’t any room left for late-night ramen, so I’d like to have that next time (laugh). We made our Reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they surprised us by bringing dessert and taking photos for us—it became a truly happy memory. Breakfast was also buffet-style. In the morning, I made my own seafood rice bowl and enjoyed it very much. The freshly cooked French toast was delicious too. There were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all—it was a one-night stay filled with food that delighted both our eyes and taste buds. Lastly, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff who always greeted us with smiles—we had a very pleasant stay at your Accommodation. We will visit again.
