The Hotel itself was very clean, and I felt that everything—from the appliances to the amenities—was thoughtfully provided. Above all, it was stylish and tasteful in every way. However, I rated it 4 stars because check-in took some time, the Room was a bit dark for eating meals, and the Wi‑Fi didn’t work. If I come to Mie again, I would definitely stay here!

We stayed here for a relaxing family trip with our three dogs. It’s in a very quiet location, and the Facility was clean and well stocked with plenty of dog supplies, so we were very satisfied with our stay. If I had to mention one thing, it would have been nice to have a kitchen towel as well. This has become one of the Accommodations we’d love to visit again.

We stayed for one night with No Meals Included just after the Obon holiday season. The location is almost in the center of the Onsen town, right next to Ichino-yu, making it perfect for visiting the public baths and strolling around town. Our Room was on the 3rd floor facing the Onsen street, with two beds. Some details felt a bit dated, but overall it was clean and pleasant. You can clearly hear the sound of people’s geta outside, but I found it atmospheric and didn’t mind much. During summer vacation in Kinosaki Onsen, fireworks are launched from 21:00, and it was wonderful to be able to see them from our window. There are two indoor baths: the left one is quite lukewarm and may be good for soaking for a long time. The right one is a bit hotter and also has a cold bath, which I really appreciated! Since Kinosaki’s public baths don’t have cold baths, this was especially welcome for me. The water also pours like a waterfall from a lion-shaped spout (maybe), so you can let it hit your stiff shoulders like a water massage. For parking, the Ryokan’s information points to nearby paid parking lots, but there is also a municipal lot very close by that is cheaper at JPY 1,000 for 12 hours. However, when we arrived there was a waitlist line up, so we used “Kinosaki Motor Pool” listed in their guidance (JPY 1,700). The municipal lot is cheaper and allows longer stays, but if you take your car out during your stay you’ll be charged again each time—so if you plan to drive out for shopping or similar errands, Kinosaki Motor Pool may be more convenient. The young proprietress was very friendly and charming (according to my wife), and we enjoyed chatting with her. One small disappointment was that the air conditioner in our Room didn’t seem well cleaned—the airflow smelled slightly musty and there was visible dirt around the vent. A different Accommodation we stayed at last year had a dirty air conditioner too; maybe places where each Room has its own unit tend to struggle with keeping up with cleaning? Also, I didn’t notice while we were using toilets at the public baths during our outings—but when I used our toilet the next morning, the washlet function wasn’t working properly. Overall we were very satisfied, and we’d like to stay here again when we visit Kinosaki next time.

The open-air bath was fully booked, so we could only reserve it once, but they kindly let us in early and allowed us to use it privately for over an hour. The indoor bath was piping hot, and the open-air bath was at just the right temperature—my skin felt wonderfully smooth afterward. We were able to enjoy breakfast at a relaxed pace in a private room. The grilled dried horse mackerel and the wasabi pickles were amazing! The breakfast staff were polite and pleasant, with excellent service. From the Room, we could see the wooded hillside behind the property and blooming flowers; it was a lovely Japanese-style Room with plenty of nostalgic Showa-era charm. Nearby there are convenience stores, sushi restaurants, AEON, and other places for shopping. The scones and pudding at a nearby shop were simple and delicious as well. This has become an Accommodation I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for everything. All of the staff were extremely kind and attentive. At breakfast, you even remembered that lychees are my favorite and prepared them for me, which made me truly happy. It was only a few days, but I had such a wonderful and enjoyable stay. Thank you again, and I hope to visit again. One request: This may be due to differences between countries, but I saw partially eaten bread being put back into the oven, and there were also some actions by children that felt a bit unsafe. I know you are busy, but it would be helpful if there could be some guidance or notices.

I have stayed at vacation rentals several times, but this was the first time I experienced such a private space. The unique experience of being surrounded by bamboo was extraordinary and felt like an escape from everyday life. However, perhaps due to the winter cold, the sauna did not reach a high temperature, which might be unsatisfactory for those who prefer it hotter. Additionally, there was a hole blocked by bamboo on the other side of the bath that felt unsafe. For this reason, I rated the Facility slightly lower. Other than that, it is a place I would love to visit again and highly recommend!

We stayed for one night over New Year’s. The guidance was courteous, and the explanations were clear, which left a great impression. The Room was clean, and our children had a wonderful time. Both the BBQ area and the Room were warm, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. It was glamping we would love to stay at again.

The moment we stepped inside, the ocean view beyond the lawn garden burst into sight through the large living room windows. We had the breathtaking sea view from the hilltop all to ourselves. We enjoyed a BBQ while watching the sunset, and after dark we had drinks on the spacious terrace under a sky full of stars. We could hear the sound of the waves all night long. The next morning, as soon as we entered the living room again, we were moved by that ocean view once more—truly one of a kind. Our dog was in great spirits too, running around happily both in the garden and in our Room. The location was also very convenient—we couldn’t believe such an amazing place existed. It was an unforgettable stay. We did have some rainy weather, but it was great that we could still enjoy a BBQ even in the rain. The Accommodation’s Facilities and amenities were perfect; even arriving empty-handed, we lacked nothing at all. Everything was spotless, and we were able to relax comfortably. At checkout, the staff kindly saw us off with warm hospitality. If we have time, we’d love to return again soon.

Plenty of crab, delicious breakfast, and very satisfying. The Onsen was nice, though a bit small.

The clean Room made for a very pleasant stay. The staff promptly responded to sudden requests, which was greatly appreciated. It was well-received by my family, and I would love to use it again.

Located in the heart of Shuzenji, it offers easy access to local sightseeing spots. The hot spring bath is a little on the hot side with free-flowing natural source water. Breakfast and dinner are served in generous portions. It is an Accommodation that feels like coming home to your family house.

After deciding “This is the place!” on social media, I looked forward to my stay. Having the seafood grilled by an ama diver, I had never seen such a large abalone before. I tried abalone liver for the first time—it was delicious. The turban shell liver wasn’t bitter either, and everything was grilled to just the right doneness. The leftover sashimi was simmered for breakfast the next morning, which was also wonderful. A Ryokan packed with great flavors—I was completely satisfied. Thank you very much.

We came back for a second try to see the fireflies after missing them last year. Perhaps thanks to the good weather and temperature that day, we were able to enjoy a breathtaking display of fireflies like a sky full of stars—it was truly moving! Being welcomed by the cats was also very soothing. We’d love to visit again next year.

We stayed with four adults and two dogs. By the bedside, there were a cot bed for the dogs, pet pads, and dog diapers provided, which was very helpful. The meals were separated for dinner and breakfast and stored in the refrigerator, and instructions were included, so preparing them was easy. We were very satisfied with both the portion size and the taste! The hayashi rice was delicious. The sauna also got properly hot—very satisfying as well. Convenience stores and supermarkets are nearby, so it’s easy to buy extra drinks. We bought spiny lobster at Roadside Station Chikura, and it was great that the provided cookware and tableware were large enough to handle it easily. It was so comfortable that we relaxed until right before checkout—sorry we couldn’t tidy up much. It was a wonderful break for us (and our dogs). Even before our stay, your email communication was very courteous, which made us feel at ease. We’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

I checked in around 9:00 PM. With pre-check-in, everything went smoothly and I was able to enter my Room right away. A washing machine (with detergent provided) and a dryer were also available in the shared area, and since it was raining that day, I really appreciated being able to wash and dry my wet clothes and socks immediately! I was exhausted, so I brought in some simple convenience store food, and I was very grateful that a microwave and an electric kettle were available in the shared area as well! I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Osaka! Nearby, I also found a public bathhouse and some great-looking independently owned restaurants, so next time I'd like to check in earlier and try them out!

It was a beautiful Hotel. The Room was clean and well stocked with amenities, so I had a comfortable stay. I only wish the hair dryer had a bit more power, and it was a shame there were only stairs. It’s a Hotel I’d like to use again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality.

Stayed for 1 night and 2 days from December 31. The purpose was to visit a shrine for New Year's and see the first sunrise, and it was great that these were within walking distance from the ryokan. The location was excellent, but even more so, the meals were delicious! There were many dishes, all very tasty, leaving us completely satisfied! The staff's smiles were wonderful, and they guided our car and saw us off until the end despite strong winds. This is a ryokan that makes you want to visit again. Highly recommended!

I have stayed in the TOJI Room for five nights, twice a year, for the past five years. Since the COVID period, I have been using it as a Toji stay service designed for remote workers. Walking around the Beppu Kitahama area near the Ryokan is also a great way to refresh. The Onsen temperature control and water quality suit me very well, and I bathe at least five times a day.

I love the ocean and was looking for a Resort Hotel where I could truly relax on my first day off in a while. This Hotel is in an amazing location with the blue Pacific Ocean stretching out right in front of you. Spending time in a beautifully furnished Room—lying back on the fluffy, spacious canopy bed, listening to the waves at leisure, and watching the sparkling sunrise—was pure luxury and bliss. The kind Hotel staff also shared great local food recommendations in Chikura and suggested places to visit—I’m truly grateful. Thank you so much! I will definitely be back!
