This was our family’s first trip to Amakusa, Kumamoto, and we stayed here. We had been looking forward to it even before we arrived, and the Accommodation was even more stylish than we expected—everywhere we went, we could feel the great sense of design. The Room was very clean, and the view from the villa was amazing. There were activities to enjoy both indoors and outdoors, and our child had a wonderful time. We rented a BBQ set, and everything was provided—so it was incredibly convenient to just bring our own ingredients and enjoy. The older male staff member at reception was very friendly and kind, and we also enjoyed hearing various stories from him. Unfortunately he wasn’t there when we checked out, so we couldn’t thank him in person, which was a real shame—but we’d love to make another opportunity to visit Amakusa and stay again. There is nothing around the Accommodation, so it’s very quiet; we could also enjoy a sky full of stars, making for an extremely relaxing time. Since there isn’t anywhere within shopping distance from the Accommodation, it might be even more comfortable if reception offered some snacks or if light meals were available at a café or restaurant—but overall it truly was a completely satisfying stay and an unforgettable place. I was told it had been fully booked the previous day due to a soccer match, but on this day it was very quiet, and both the pool and sauna felt like they were all mine. The massage chair in the relaxation area overlooking the stadium after a bath was amazing! In the changing room

I made a Reservation because the Accommodation offered an Italian dinner, a sand bath, and spacious Rooms with great views. The Room was large, had a wonderful view, and felt very clean. I also appreciated that the drinks in the refrigerator were free, including beer. There was a sand bath within the Facility, as well as a large public bath, plus one more Onsen area with indoor baths only. Inside the building there was so much to see—such as a shochu dojo, artworks, and exhibits about notable historical figures from Kagoshima—that we didn’t have enough time to take it all in. The garden was also vast and perfect for a walk. The Italian dinner was at a restaurant inside Denshokan; both the atmosphere and the food were excellent. Above all, every staff member was wonderful—this was truly an outstanding Accommodation. I would definitely like to stay again when I visit Ibusuki. Thank you very much for your hospitality. As an aside, I learned that this is also the venue for the Ryuo title match in shogi, which made me even more excited—I was moved to see where Sota Fujii sat and played.

We had a relaxing Obon holiday. Thank you very much. I can’t eat a lot at my age, but the steak, roast beef, and sushi were all delicious. It was also great that the sushi was made fresh on the spot. Since we were on an upper floor, the view was wonderful, and the spacious Room was very comfortable. The Room felt clean and well maintained, with thorough housekeeping. We’re already talking about coming back again.

The front desk and restaurant also had many wonderful staff members, and we felt very comfortable. We were able to fully enjoy the Onsen, and both the buffet dinner and breakfast were excellent—we were very satisfied. Next time, we’d like to relax even more with a Multiple Night

We stayed here for a very special occasion—my proposal. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported from everyday life: the view of Ago Bay from our Room, the tranquility that enveloped the entire property, and the soothing comfort of the Onsen made for an unforgettable stay

I stay here almost every year. Part of the lobby floor has been renovated and now features a dark-brown themed space. It gives a great impression as well, but personally I also liked the pre-renovation atmosphere that felt like a long-established Hotel. The souvenir shop has been downsized, and it seems the number of items for sale has decreased, which was a little disappointing. I hope you will bring back the zodiac “Okiagari Koboshi” dolls for sale again. (Buying that year’s zodiac doll here was one of my annual highlights.) As always, the staff were wonderful—efficient and consistently attentive—and I truly wish staff at other Hotel brands would learn from their professionalism. This time I stayed in the Rainbow Wing. With large windows letting in plenty of light, the room was very bright, and the evening view of Hakone-Yumoto Station from the window was beautiful. The Onsen felt like proof that Yumoto Fujiya Hotel remains an authentic Onsen Ryokan, and I was able to relax deeply. I hope the outdoor corridor leading to the Onsen will return as part of the main route again, like it was a few years ago. The day’s humidity in Yumoto and the sound of insects coming from among the trees make it feel like a truly special corridor. The post-bath lounge was very comfortable (including air conditioning), and I ended up staying there for quite a while. It might be convenient to have a change machine near the paid massage chairs. Once again, everything—from check-in until leaving this Accommodation—was extremely comfortable.

Above all, the staff were wonderful. No matter where we passed them, they always greeted us, and the front desk staff were very attentive. The Room was also kept very clean. Even the top of the lockers in the changing area had been cleaned. Thank you for your excellent hospitality.

The Onsen is the main highlight, and with a full range of comfortable amenities, I was able to enjoy a truly fulfilling day. After working up a sweat at the gym, I played a little table tennis and felt like a kid again. The sauna is spacious and made of wood, and there is also a mist sauna—I did five rounds in total. To finish, I relaxed in the shallow pool and took a break with a draft beer. The large public bath left me feeling refreshed.

Perfect in every way! The best value for money I’ve ever had. The Room was spacious and spotless. The fridge had a freezer, there was also a microwave, and the toilet was clean. The in-room bath was amazing, with a great view! The meals offered a good variety, which we really enjoyed.

Because our Room was on the 2nd floor, we were disappointed that we couldn’t see the koi in the pond. My wife is pregnant, and it was difficult because it was a long walk to the elevator. Not only in the garden but also around the open-air bath in the large public bath, many decorative stones were placed throughout, which made it very relaxing. I thought it was very rare to have an outdoor cold plunge bath for the sauna. Next time, we’d like to stay at the Ryokan longer and relax in the open-air bath.
