I have stayed here several times. This time, due to my Reservation, I had to change Rooms partway through my stay, but the staff kindly arranged everything to minimize any inconvenience. At the restaurant and in other situations as well, everyone was friendly and welcoming, so I had a very pleasant stay. There were also a pool, festival-style games, quizzes, and other events—my child was absolutely delighted. I also visited the rooftop for the first time this trip; the view was wonderful, and it made for a refreshing morning. Almost nothing to complain about! However, it would be even better if there were an ice machine on each floor.

Even before our visit, you kindly and attentively accommodated our requests, such as providing a floor chair and securing parking. Not only were the Room and each Facility wonderful, but the hospitality of the staff was also outstanding. Despite it being during the summer vacation season, we were able to spend a calm and relaxing time far from the crowds, and even my usually picky wife kept saying, “I want to come back here again.” Thank you very much.

We arrived in the evening and chose the plan with two meals included. The only convenience store within walking distance is a Lawson about 10–15 minutes away. Since you have to cross a national highway at night, it feels far. We were glad we added meals. The carefully prepared dishes were unique both to look at and to taste, and we really enjoyed them. I definitely recommend adding meals. We went early in the morning to Ritsuunkyo, came back for breakfast, rested in our Room, and then hiked up Takeda Castle; being able to take breaks along the way was great. This is a recommended Accommodation. Since it is an old traditional house Hotel, I would not recommend it to those who cannot enjoy an older building or who expect perfect Facilities.

Our family of three (two adults and one older elementary school child) stayed here. The Facility was exceptionally well maintained throughout—spotlessly clean and beautiful everywhere. It was a wonderful place I can confidently recommend to others! Here are the highlights that impressed us, along with a couple of small points we noticed. ◯ Highlights Beautifully balanced meals: The ingredients prepared in the refrigerator were the perfect amount—not too much, not too little. The colors and presentation were lovely, everything felt very clean, and we were excited even before eating. The selection of complimentary drinks included in the Accommodation Fee was also excellent! User-friendly kitchen: The dining kitchen was spacious and easy to move around in, and the grill was simple to use, making cooking fun. A fully equipped authentic spa: Not only a bath, but also a sauna and cold plunge pool—an incredibly relaxing experience. ◯ With hopes for future improvements (why we rated 4 stars) The boundary between indoors and outdoors on the way to the open-air bath was very slippery, so we placed towels down ourselves as a precaution. Guests with small children or elderly family members may want to be especially careful. Moving between the Room, toilet, bath, and dining area requires outdoor footwear throughout, but we found the provided shoes a bit difficult to wear. More slip-on options would make it even more comfortable. That said, our overall satisfaction was extremely high—so much so that these minor points hardly mattered—and it became a great memory for us. We would love to stay again!

This was our first family trip to Shimoda, and everyone agreed the Hotel was beyond reproach—we liked it so much that we returned earlier than we usually do on trips. We were also traveling with my grandmother, who has difficulty walking, but the staff provided a bath chair and thoughtfully arranged seating during meals, so we were able to stay in complete comfort. Many of the staff members were from overseas, but everyone greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service, making our stay truly satisfying.

There is a dog run as well, so some guests brought their dogs; one came over to us, which made our dog-loving family very happy. Younger children can also enjoy the pool. On the way to the Accommodation you can see rice fields and forest scenery—it felt like stepping into a world

We were fortunate to have great weather, and we were soothed by the view from the window in our high-floor Room with a wonderful outlook. The Room was clean, the amenities were well stocked, and the staff were kind, so we had a very comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the projection mapping displayed on the Hotel’s exterior.

We stayed in a Superior Twin Room with a loft and a lake-side living area. The Room was spacious, and having a separate living area felt refreshing. The bed was very comfortable, and it was great that we could watch another TV from the bed. The meals were delicious and very generous in portion size. The grilled shabu-shabu with Japanese Black Wagyu beef and the salt-grilled nodoguro were especially tasty. The Onsen was also very relaxing. It would have been even better if there had been a sauna.

The property was comfortable even for a wheelchair user, so we were able to enjoy our family trip stress-free. Thank you for your kind support, including parking right in front of the entrance and providing amenities such as a shower chair. At breakfast, we were warmly greeted with “Good morning” and guided to our seats with a smile; everything was delicious and very satisfying—fresh vegetables, firm momen tofu with a rich soybean flavor, miso from a long-established local producer, thick-cut bacon, curry, and more. There are also Rooms with a train view, which railway fans will love. We’re glad we could stay again this summer as well, marking the 20th anniversary of Hokuto City and the 10th anniversary of the Hokkaido Shinkansen!

Every time we come, the staff provide wonderful hospitality just as always, along with delicious meals and a relaxing Onsen that welcomes us and helps us unwind from everyday fatigue. Our dog is now a senior, but this is a precious place we can visit easily and without stress. W

We stayed here for my partner’s birthday trip. Surrounded by nature in a quiet setting, we were able to step away from everyday life and spend a truly wonderful time. The room was very clean, and the Facility and amenities were well equipped, so we stayed comfortably without any inconvenience throughout our stay. The size was just right, and it felt like a very cozy space for two adults. The sauna is electric, so even someone like me who isn’t used to wood-fired saunas could enjoy it easily—and it still felt authentic, which was more than satisfying. Before our stay, they also shared helpful information such as the destination (Google Maps), what to bring, and recommended nearby places, which we really appreciated.
