I felt this was a historic and luxurious Ryokan. I was especially amazed by the splendid, ornate convention hall where we had dinner and breakfast. The building itself feels like it has withstood many years of harsh weather, yet you can still sense its former grandeur. From the Room, we could enjoy a panoramic view of the vast Pacific’s rough waves and the cliffs of the Izura Coast that seem to carry thousands of years of history—it truly made me glad we came. That said, there were a few points that concerned us. The Room is based on a traditional Japanese-style layout with thoughtful touches for usability, but there is a large step between the tatami area and the space with the sofa set, so those like us with knee and lower-back issues need to be very careful. Also, because the entire Room temperature is controlled by an air conditioner in the tatami room, it felt difficult to adjust the temperature in the bedroom farther away. While many Ryokan have become increasingly digital recently, there were no complicated digital devices here, which actually made things easier for us to use. When we bought souvenirs at the shop and asked for shipping delivery service , we were told that shipping fees could only be paid in cash and that charging it to our Room was not accepted. We weren’t carrying cash, so we had no choice but to take everything home ourselves. There seemed to be various explanations given, but since this is something commonly available elsewhere, I hope you will consider improving this point. We really loved the meals. Many locally sourced ingredients were used, and every dish was deliciously prepared. In particular, the grilled dancing abalone was outstanding in freshness, size,, tenderness,,and flavor—everything about it was excellent.. The simmered red fish and shabu-shabu hot pot also had slightly richer,, sweeter seasoning that perfectly matched my taste.. I also enjoyed their unique breakfast dish where grilled mackerel is warmed in a small pot before eating.. The timing of serving each course was excellent as well,, allowing us to savor every dish one by one.. For access to public bath , walking down long covered wooden corridor from lobby lined on both sides with large glass windows felt open airy enjoyable . It was great bath experience . I don’t think there were any guest survey forms provided , but I thought it impressive how hostess visited tables during dinner greeting guests listening opinions naturally through conversation . All staff left good impression . The driver who took us station on departure day drove safely which appreciated . Thank you very much for your hospitality .

We stayed here to visit Mount Koya. The meals were delicious, and desserts and drinks were all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. The bath water was soft, and everything was excellent.

An oceanfront location right in front of the sea, delicious meals, and a private open-air bath in the Room made our stay extremely satisfying. This Hotel is highly recommended for trips with your dog.

The Room, baths, and meals were all wonderful. Both the in-room bath and the private Kashinoki-no-Yu Onsen were excellent. When I mentioned that the handle on the bath basket had come off, they responded immediately. As for the food, when I told them I have gout and can’t eat pork, they adjusted part of the meal. Every dish was delicious, and you could really tell how carefully everything was prepared. The soba was also great. All of the staff we spoke with in various situations were very pleasant, and it truly became a memorable trip. The view from the Room was amazing as well. There was a light mist over the mountains, and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It rained at night, but that actually made it even more relaxing with the sound of rain—I didn’t feel disappointed at all even though it rained. The American who traveled with me was impressed by everything and happily said they will definitely come again! I rarely write a Review no matter how much I travel, but Tsuruya was truly outstanding. If you’re considering a trip to Gunma, this is an Accommodation I would highly recommend—so I decided to write this Review. Next time, I’d love to enjoy the winter scenery along with the Onsen and meals. We will definitely visit again! Thank you very much.

The Western-style room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. There was a wide variety of dinner options, making it easy to choose. The Shinshu salmon was delicious. The soft-serve ice cream machine was self-serve, and the ice cream was rich and tasty. I’d like to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

I stayed one night on 8/23 with breakfast included. The men’s bath has a spacious indoor bath, and the open-air bath is designed to feel very open, with the outside scenery visible up close. The sulfur scent enhances the Onsen atmosphere, and it’s such pleasant water that you’ll want to soak again and again. At around 1,500 m elevation, it stays very cool in summer and is comfortable to spend time here. I’d like to visit again in a different season. It seems that Shogi title matches have been held here many times as well, so Shogi fans might enjoy that too.

While the meals are not particularly luxurious, the quiet surroundings make it a relaxing place to stay. The area had been closed due to bear sightings, but a riverside walking path has now been developed all the way to Ryusendo Cave. The Iwaizumi Yogurt served at the Ryokan—highly praised by Mr. Ohtani—is excellent, and the milk is outstanding as well. The cold noodles at the Ryusendo Cave rest house were also very delicious. If you are worried about bears, there is a bus stop right in front of the property one stop before Ryusendo Cave (service is limited).

Our second stay, following last year. Last time we chose a no-meals Plan and brought meat, vegetables, and other ingredients from home to enjoy a BBQ on the terrace. The terrace had a large gas grill, plus a table and chairs always set up. It was pouring rain outside, but the space was completely sheltered from wind and rain, so we could BBQ comfortably as if we were indoors. This time, since we planned to spend dinner with friends’ family in Omura City, we chose a breakfast-only Plan. Right after arrival, the staff warmly welcomed us and provided careful guidance and explanations about the Facility, while our dog enjoyed playing ball in the outdoor yard. Last time we booked a Room with a large garden but couldn’t use it due to heavy rain, so this time we chose one without a garden. Even so, there was still enough yard space for ball play, and there was also a dog run next to the Accommodation building. In addition to an indoor hinoki bath in the Room, there was even an open-air bath, so we could relax in the baths after returning from dinner and again in the morning. For breakfast, more than enough ingredients were prepared in the refrigerator, along with plenty of seasonings and tableware—so we made a luxurious morning meal at our preferred time and in our own way. For reference: my daughter had cheese toast with grilled bacon plus a fresh vegetable salad, yogurt, and soup; my husband had hot sandwiches with fried eggs plus salad and coffee—everyone ate what they liked and was very satisfied. One note: there were thorny plants growing in parts of the yard and dog run; it can be dangerous unless removed before letting dogs play. We ended up trimming some ourselves while saying it would be nice if it were mowed shorter overall. Even so, it’s an excellent Facility—we will definitely stay again.

Thank you for everything! This was my first time visiting Ryujin Onsen, and it was a wonderful Accommodation. All the staff were polite and friendly, which I truly appreciated. The buffet meals were delicious, and I enjoyed choosing my favorites. The Room was clean and comfortable, and I was very satisfied with my stay. And the Onsen!!! The silky-smooth water was amazing—so relaxing. It felt like bathing in lotion, and my skin stayed moisturized long after, which really impressed me. It’s a bit far away, but I’d love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

The Room was thoroughly cleaned and well organized, to the point that you wouldn’t notice its age, so I felt at ease during my stay. Since the Room has an open-air bath, I could soak at my own pace and it was very comfortable. Best of all, I could relax and unwind while listening to the sound of the river flowing just below. All the staff who assisted me from check-in to check-out were kind. I rated it 4 stars because I felt the incense scent at the front desk was a bit too strong.

This was my first stay, and I was able to relax and unwind. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor dog runs within the Facility, along with a great selection of amenities and dog treats. They even had photo spots and raincoats, so it was perfectly equipped for traveling with a dog. I chose a Plan that allowed in-Room dining. The French dinner—especially the bouillabaisse packed with seafood—was delicious. Breakfast bread was also excellent. Since I was traveling solo, I used the bath in my Room, but the bath amenities were great as well, including POLA shampoo and skincare items such as lotion. The staff were kind and treated my dog warmly too. I would love to stay again.

The staff’s warm hospitality made us feel truly cared for, and we were able to forget about everyday life and relax in the Onsen. We also enjoyed the course dinner. We’d love to visit again.

I stayed for two nights in August and did not experience any major inconveniences. The meals were delicious. The Onsen was spacious, and I was able to relax and enjoy it. The staff were also very helpful. There was only one designated smoking area outside, but it was not particularly inconvenient.

After enjoying rafting nearby, we stayed overnight. The Room was a spacious Japanese-style room, and we were able to relax comfortably. We had a breakfast-only Plan, so we had dinner at the Hotel restaurant. Since we made a Reservation at check-in, even though it was fully booked that day, we were seated smoothly. The baths are in a separate building behind the Hotel, and we also enjoyed the open-air bath. When we go rafting again, we’d like to stay at this Hotel! Thank you very much!

I stayed here for the first time in 30 years. The building is old, but it was well cleaned and felt very clean overall. I spoke with a staff member who said they have been working here for about 15 years—keep up the good work. The friendly greetings at the buffet venue were also very welcoming. Last time it was just my spouse and me, but this time we came with our two children. We watched the fireworks from the lakeshore, and the kids were truly impressed. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

We stayed in a private cottage with an exclusive dog run! The cottage was very clean, quiet, and extremely comfortable.\nDinner was catered in the Room, but there were no drink services, so we went to a convenience store in the evening to buy some. We strongly felt it was necessary to bring our own items in advance.\nThe reception was far from the Room, and the guidance felt a bit rough, so we rated it 4 stars. However, we were very satisfied with the Room and found the hinoki bath soothing. We will stay again!

I stayed here on a previous trip to Ishigaki Island and chose to return again this time! The light breakfast included with the Hotel’s services is greatly appreciated, and the location is excellent—close to the remote island terminal, convenience stores, and drugstores. I also love the view of the Southern Gate Bridge and the ocean from the Hotel. Highly recommended for solo travelers or anyone exploring the Yaeyama Islands. Once again, thank you so much to Sakishima Business Hotel and all the staff for your wonderful hospitality. I’ll be back!

I stayed here again, as I did last year. This time, I split my stay into two parts: 2 nights and then 3 nights—first on the east side, and the last 3 nights on the west side. The west side is better. I plan to stay here again next year.

After seeing on TV that many stays were being canceled due to the earthquake, I decided on the spot, “Then let’s go and make some summer vacation memories!” and made a same-day Reservation. The Room had a calm, pleasant atmosphere. Since it was the Room at the very end of the hall, we were able to relax without worrying about others even with children. I know it may depend on availability, but I truly appreciate your thoughtful consideration. Some of the staff were from overseas, but they made a sincere effort to speak polite Japanese and were very pleasant. Everyone was gentle and attentive, and we received wonderful hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen—both the large public bath and the private family bath. It helped us forget everyday noise and feel refreshed. This ended up being a long message, but it was truly a rewarding trip that left us completely satisfied. It reminded me how wonderful a Ryokan can be. Next time, I’d like to add meals as well and enjoy an even more relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

You can walk to both Karuizawa Station and Kumoba Pond. It’s a slightly retro Hotel, with no elevator, and the shower and hair dryer are standard. That said, it has a nostalgic charm that I really liked. Meals were served at seats overlooking the garden greenery, and it was comfortable even when dining alone. Of course, the food was delicious. The staff were also very pleasant.
