I always look forward to the seasonal parfaits, and whenever a new one comes out, I can’t help but come back. This time, it was the grape parfait and the Shine Muscat parfait. I went for a drive with my friend from Yamanashi, then met up with my husband at the Hotel. I checked in in the evening. I relaxed in the Onsen and slept soundly. For breakfast, I had my usual favorite cheese omelet. It’s truly delicious—I keep wondering how you make an omelet that tastes this good. And then, the grape parfait. I shared it with my husband’s Shine Muscat parfait and enjoyed both. They’re so beautiful and delicious—like edible art. I had them last year too and never forgot them, so I was happy to have them again this year. The smiles of all the staff always soothe me as well. What will the next parfait be?

I was very satisfied with the Hotel’s Facility, the staff service, and the dining options. In particular, the daily replenishment of drinks in the guest room, the spacious and comfortable large public bath, and the fireworks viewing area were excellent. However, the price was a little high. The only drawback was that the parking lot was a bit far away. I would definitely like to stay here again next time.

We had to cancel our Okinawa trip due to a typhoon. Then I remembered Iojima, which my husband’s mother had recommended, and looked it up. Because it was last-minute, the only availability was a BBQ Plan in a dog-friendly Room, but we made a Reservation anyway—and it turned out to be amazing! We don’t have pets, so I worried about odors or hearing dogs from other Rooms, but everything was spotless and we didn’t notice anything at all. The Room also had an ocean view and felt incredibly refreshing. For dinner, we thought two days of BBQ in the summer heat might be too much, so we asked the front desk—just in case—if we could change one day’s meal. They kindly accommodated us, and on the second night we were able to enjoy a course dinner. (This may have been because we originally booked an upgraded option above the standard BBQ.) The BBQ itself was delicious with plenty of variety, and eating while looking out at the sea was fantastic. For breakfast, we could choose from three different restaurants with different menus. Guests could also enjoy complimentary lemon water and chilled tea at various spots around the island. There were lots of activities: sports and games in the gym; ocean athletics and marine sports (extra charge) by the beach; a manga corner near the baths; an indoor pool; Onsen facilities; and even an open-air bath with ocean views. We truly had an incredible three days. Since each area is spread out, you can rent bicycles for free, and there is also a shuttle bus that circulates around the island. All of the Accommodation staff were kind and attentive, helping us create wonderful family memories. Thank you very much.

We stayed with four friends. The building is old, but the Japanese-style room was spacious. The restroom was a bit hard to find, but we were able to use it without any issues. The dining area was also large, and thanks to staggered meal times it was rarely crowded. There was a wide variety of dishes, so we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. Both baths require taking stairs from the entrance, so I felt it might be difficult for guests with mobility issues. One of the baths had water that was too lukewarm, so we couldn’t stay in for long. The parking lot is far away, but they provided Shuttle Service by car, which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

All the staff provided wonderful, attentive service! Even in the intense midsummer heat on Miyajima, we had a truly enjoyable trip. The night tour after dinner was very informative, and the local guide’s storytelling really made us feel like we were traveling—she was fantastic. Because of time constraints and the heat, we couldn’t make it to the summit of Mt. Misen, so next time we’ll visit in autumn and would love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

I stayed here on a family trip with my father and sister. Unfortunately it rained, but as soon as the Hotel came into view, I couldn’t stop feeling excited by its beautiful exterior. The Room was a standard maisonette. The stairs were a bit steep for my father in his 80s, but we were very satisfied with the spacious Room. The Onsen wasn’t overly hot, and there were several options including an open-air panoramic bath and a medicinal bath, so I enjoyed it both in the evening and in the morning. Both the dinner and breakfast buffets had a great variety of dishes, and I ate until I was completely full while trying to decide what to choose. There were still more things I wanted to try, but I simply couldn’t eat any more…! Since there was only one elevator for going up and one for going down, depending on the time it wasn’t always easy to get around smoothly, but otherwise everything was excellent. My father and sister were both very happy and said they’d like to come again. I’d love to stay here again too.

This stay was highly satisfying from start to finish. The Room was spacious, and I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. Dinner offered an even wider variety than I expected; each dish tasted wonderful, the portions were generous, and I was completely satisfied. Breakfast also featured a great selection of small dishes, and I really liked the style of choosing freely from what I preferred—it made for a very fulfilling meal to start the day. The Onsen water was especially memorable, with a gentle softness that seemed to blend into the body. Not only did it ease my shoulder pain, but I could also feel my skin becoming smooth. In addition, the attentive and heartfelt hospitality unique to a long-established Ryokan further enhanced the quality of the stay. From check-in to check-out, all staff members were considerate and attentive, allowing me to feel comfortable throughout. Overall, this was an excellent Ryokan where everything—cuisine, Onsen, Room comfort, and service—was of a high standard. It is an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again.

The food was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a wonderful view of Lake Hamana, and were able to relax and have a peaceful stay. Thank you very much.

We couldn’t hear pets from other rooms, and our dog seemed to relax and enjoy the stay. Having a private open-air bath made it easy to use at any time, which was wonderful. The meals were delicious, but since there were many hot pot dishes on a warm day, we felt that a few more chilled options might have been nice—overall, we were very satisfied.

I visited with friends in March, and this time I came with my son’s family. The food is simply delicious, and even my five-year-old grandchild can have fun at the amusement park and inside the Hotel. Beer was available after bathing and during meals as well, which made my daughter-in-law very happy. The meals were excellent—both grilled Hamana Lake eel (kabayaki) and white-grilled eel (shirayaki) were so good that I ate far too much. I usually don’t eat seafood bowls elsewhere (because they’re not tasty), but for some reason I end up having them here. And the staff who prepare the food are very kind. Next time, I’d like to bring my daughter’s family too. The desserts made with local ingredients and the small dishes are also delicious. I don’t think there is any other Hotel buffet as good as this. The only problem is that I eat too much and gain weight. Even breakfast has great variety, and even the scrambled eggs taste wonderful. The shirasu and eel onigiri-style rice balls were very satisfying too. With four adults and one small child, it’s hard to deny that the room feels a bit small. But since a larger room would have doubled the price, we ended up trying to save money. Well, we only sleep there anyway. This may be a bit rambling, but considering the price, all I can say is thank you very much. If possible, I think a dry sauna would be better than the current one in the bath area.

This was my first stay. The Hotel lobby is small, but it features Takeo pottery and Arita ware created in collaboration with overseas designers. It’s a stylish, relaxing space, and we were welcomed with chilled Ureshino tea and a small sweet. The Room felt natural and calming. This Hotel is known for its sauna, and even though I’m not great with saunas, I was able to relax fully and felt completely refreshed (laughs). We stayed as a couple this time, but it’s also a soothing Accommodation where solo female travelers can feel safe staying alone. It has become one of the Hotels I’d love to stay at again.

First, we would like to express our gratitude for the warm hospitality of the Accommodation. Thank you for your thoughtful care in even the smallest details. This was our first trip to Okayama Prefecture, and thanks to all the staff, we were able to enjoy a comfortable Onsen getaway. We now have one more Ryokan we would love to visit again. It was a lovely, small Hotel with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The free-flow option was great. The chandelier in the dining room was sparkling and beautiful. The meals were delicious as well. I was satisfied with the Onsen, the Room, and the service. Above all, it wasn’t noisy or crowded—just calm and peaceful.

The building is beautifully maintained, and I was truly moved by its smart design that still feels warm with natural wood. The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed having plenty of both fish and meat. The Hotel staff were always smiling, and it was a pleasure communicating with them. I came for lunch five years ago and had been dreaming of staying here ever since—my wish finally came true. Thank you so much; I’d love to come back again!

Japanese-style double Room with breakfast and dinner included. I also requested a pick-up from Yamagata Station. On the way back, I took the bus to Yamagata Station from the Zao Onsen Bus Terminal, just a few minutes’ walk away. I arrived early, but was able to leave my luggage and explore freely. The staff member who assisted me felt unexpectedly curt, which seemed different from the Reviews. The person who showed me to my Room also didn’t seem to notice a fairly large dead insect right by the door when it was opened. That was disappointing. I was very satisfied with the Room, meals, and baths. The entire building is covered with tatami mats and you take off your shoes, which feels great, and everything was well maintained. All staff were pleasant in both their service and greetings. Since the baths switch between men and women, you can use both areas; I enjoyed the warm feel of wood and traditional atmosphere. Some Reviews said it was small, but as a woman I didn’t find it cramped since there weren’t too many people using it at once. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious—I finished everything. The Yamagata beef shabu-shabu was truly excellent. There is a portable air conditioner in the Room (I think), but because its duct runs out through the window, the top of the window doesn’t close completely tight; I couldn’t help noticing that gap. I saw a similar setup in the lounge as well, so I assumed it’s installed as a measure against summer heat. There is no elevator—only stairs—which I actually liked very much. Around this time of year we could hear spring cicadas (maybe), which was soothing. From the entrance you can see a gentle slope leading down to the main road, along with steam rising from the Onsen—an impressive location. It’s a small but comfortable Accommodation with a warm atmosphere—thank you very much.

After sightseeing in Kamikochi (Mt. Yakedake hike) on Sunday, 5/31, I stayed at Super Hotel Nagano/Iida Inter. The best part was being able to stay at such a great price with breakfast included (delicious bread, salads, side dishes, etc.), and it reaffirmed that choosing this Hotel was the right decision. I’d definitely like to stay again if I have the chance! One suggestion: I would personally appreciate it if breakfast could start 30 minutes earlier, from 6:00 a.m. This would make it easier to travel smoothly for sightseeing that day, so I hope you will consider it.

This was my second visit since coming in May. My dog (my beloved “daughter”) was thrilled. It was about 5°C cooler than down below, but the late-summer heat was still intense, and it felt hot in the sun. My dog ran around the nature-filled dog run and had a great time. Because it was a weekday after the Obon holidays, it wasn’t crowded, so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. The building was clean, and the Room was also very clean. The large public bath felt like we had it to ourselves, so we could unwind and fully enjoy it. (We went twice.) The food was delicious as well. Since it’s close to home, it’s easy to plan travel time both ways, and for me this Facility has an ideal location. I’d love to take another overnight trip with my dog. All of the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Thank you very much.

We visited as a couple to relax and enjoy the Onsen at a leisurely pace. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from the station to the Accommodation. You can request pick-up, but we chose to walk and soak in the atmosphere. The Room was spacious enough for two, and you can enjoy views including the sea through the large window. The in-room Onsen bath was more than sufficient, but we also reserved a private bath so we could have a large Onsen all to ourselves. It happened to be firefly-viewing season, so we enjoyed it with Shuttle Service included. The meals were incredibly delicious—an extensive menu centered on seafood, vegetables, and mountain produce. The sashimi was outstanding, and breakfast deserves special mention: miso soup made with broth from the spiny lobster shells from dinner and black rice were exceptional. This is a small Accommodation with attentive staff—perfect for enjoying the Onsen, nearby walks, and great food. We had a truly luxurious one-night stay. P.S. For those considering staying: due to structural reasons, loud noises in neighboring Rooms can be heard, and any loud noise you make will likely carry as well. If that doesn’t bother you, you’ll be able to enjoy a relaxing stay in a quiet environment away from tourist areas with few people around.

I think this is an Accommodation with a very high overall level of satisfaction. It was my first stay in a while since COVID, and I got the impression that you have been making great efforts, including with the meals. The large public bath is by far the best in the prefecture. These days, it’s disappointing that many Accommodations don’t allow bathing until after 3:00 PM even during a Multiple Night Stay, but Shidotaira allows bathing except during cleaning hours, which is very helpful. During my stay, I made a Reservation for three consecutive nights in August. Also, it seems your address has not been updated, so if possible, please update it. I’m looking forward to next month.
