Needless to say, the Facility, amenities, and meals were wonderful—but above all, the hospitality was outstanding! From arrival to check-out, we received truly exceptional service. We chose this Accommodation mainly to visit Inuyama Castle, but next time we want to stay here as the main purpose of our trip. Thank you very much for everything.

As a car and racing enthusiast, I love the details of this Hotel. The weather wasn’t great this time, but I was glad I could still see Mt. Fuji from my Room. I always choose the “view assigned by the Hotel,” and you can enjoy it no matter which side you get. This time again, we had dinner at Robata Oyama, and it was delicious—we were very satisfied. I also really like the breakfast.

We stayed with you on a weekend in late September. With the weather swinging between hot and cool, days of rain, and even a typhoon, it really feels like anything can happen these days. So we decided: go where you want to go while you can, meet the people you want to meet when you can, and eat what you want to eat when you feel like it. And that meant—let’s go to WATANABE and enjoy autumn! By the time dinner started at 6:00 p.m., it was already dark outside the window. Looking up at the night sky reminded me how last year felt like summer all the way into October, and how we only started sensing autumn around mid-October. This dinner was another wonderful “WATANABE Special”—a luxurious and delicious course (including abalone salad and live Ise lobster with bouillabaisse sauce) that made me genuinely happy from start to finish. Boiled Toneri shellfish in seawater Mehikari fish fritters Herb toast topped with kampachi prosciutto-style ham Gougère filled with tartare of kombu-cured shrimp Snow crab and mushroom cake salé Red bell pepper mousse topped with Hokkaido sea urchin and consommé jelly Steamed abalone tabbouleh (couscous) with celery salad Ayu confit baked in pastry with tapenade and cucumber sauce Local turban shell & brown mushroom bourguignon-style dish Pan-seared white tilefish with peanuts, lightly curry-flavored Lemongrass granita Live Ise lobster with bouillabaisse sauce (assorted mushrooms) Homemade whole-wheat bread Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc dessert Madam’s petit fours and tea Every dish was delicious—especially for someone like me who loves fish roe/innards and being able to enjoy whole fish. Thank you for the wonderful feast both evening and morning. I’m always moved by the chef’s cooking, and soothed by Madam’s gentle smile. Thank you again for such a happy time. Today’s discovery: Madam makes that wonderfully chestnut-filled base of the Mont Blanc herself—amazing!

Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay. At check-in, the front desk staff kindly and thoroughly explained the in-house Facilities and services, which allowed us to start our stay with complete peace of mind. My wife has a shellfish allergy, and we are truly grateful that the restaurant’s head chef thoughtfully adjusted the menu for us. In particular, dinner on the second night was even more outstanding than the first, and we were deeply moved by the extra care put into each dish. While we were taking photos inside the property, a seasoned and very kind staff member noticed us and spoke to us. They gladly took photos for us, thanks to which we were able to keep wonderful memories of our trip. We are foreigners and can hardly speak Japanese. Even so, throughout our stay we received warm, attentive service that made us forget any language barrier. This stay reminded me once again of what I felt when I first visited a Japanese Ryokan years ago: uniquely Japanese hospitality that truly cherishes travelers and makes them feel as safe and comfortable as if they were at home. It is truly an excellent Ryokan. We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of all the staff. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you again for such a wonderful time.

I stayed for two nights in the Nihondaira Twin Room, which I had wanted to try for a long time. The Room was more spacious and newer than I expected, and the bathroom and vanity area were also roomy and spotless, with a great selection of amenities. The balcony was well designed with a wonderful view. I heard it had been raining until the day before, but during my stay we were mostly blessed with good weather (with some clouds at times), and I could see Mt. Fuji from the Room as well as from the lobby and restaurants. For dinner, I chose Western cuisine on the first night and a Japanese restaurant on the second; every dish was delicious. The large windows offered beautiful views, so I could enjoy my meal while watching Mt. Fuji at dusk and looking out over the garden. In particular, the steamed ribeye in the “Aoi Kaiseki” course was outstanding. The breakfast buffet also had an impressive variety, so even after two mornings I never got tired of it. There are many nearby sightseeing spots such as Kunozan Toshogu Shrine and Sunpu Castle Park, which made for a great trip overall. In any case, the windows are huge, the garden lawn is beautifully maintained, the Facility is excellent, and the staff were very attentive—an even more wonderful Hotel than I imagined. I would definitely like to visit again.

A calm Accommodation in a quiet, secluded area with hardly any traffic noise, where you can truly feel time pass peacefully. The meals weren’t overly large and the number of dishes was modest, but each one was carefully prepared and delicious. It was an adult-oriented Accommodation where you can genuinely relax and unwind.

We were thoroughly satisfied with the many delicious, beautifully presented dishes that captured the transition from summer to autumn. We enjoyed them in a private dining Room with a waterfall right in front of us. We stayed in a detached suite called Suirei, where a small stream runs through the Room. From the spacious open-air bath, there is another smaller open-air bath just down a few steps; each has a different temperature, so you can soak for as long as you like. The garden was also expansive, and we were able to fully enjoy summer and feel refreshed. Thank you very much for celebrating our 60th birthday with us. I hope to visit again even when I’m a grandmother.

Just like last time, we had a very comfortable stay. True to the name “Sunset Village,” dinner while watching the stunning sunset—so much like being at an overseas resort—was truly delightful. Our beloved dog, who is like family to us, ran freely around the spacious dog run and relaxed indoors as well; simply watching was soothing. We are very satisfied with the well-maintained facilities and the clean, comfortable environment. If possible, having a standing fan or air circulator would be convenient when we want to cool down on the BBQ terrace or indoors. We would appreciate your consideration. From the large windows and terrace, we could gaze at the huge trees right in front of us, many boats floating on the sea, and the scenery across the water—it’s easy to lose track of time. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

You can enjoy Maruki Winery, one of Japan’s oldest wineries, all day long while taking in a beautiful Japanese garden. For dinner, we had a tea-ceremony kaiseki meal—one delight after another. The Room also comes with a private Onsen bath featuring 100% free-flowing natural spring water rich in sulfur. We learned how to spend time slowly and luxuriously in true bliss—an ideal adult getaway. This is truly the best Accommodation. Next time, we’ll book a Multiple Night Stay.

I was looking for a highly rated Onsen Ryokan to stay at in Okayama, so I chose this one. It was a great choice. The meals were exactly as described—quality over quantity—and the portions were perfect for older guests. It’s also an all-inclusive property, so I enjoyed a variety of drinks and snacks; the doburoku in particular was excellent. I don’t recall drinking it much before, but it went down smoothly, and next time I think I’ll stick with doburoku after my beer. I’m glad I stayed here.

This was my second stay, and it was just as moving as the first. From every part of the property—the lobby, restaurant, on-site café, and of course the guest rooms, in-room semi-open-air baths, and the large public bath—you can enjoy wonderful views of East Izu’s greenery and the ocean. The lounge also offers excellent complimentary services such as free drinks, and you can even enjoy table tennis, which I personally love. Soaking your feet in the spacious courtyard footbath while listening to lovely background music is another truly relaxing moment. It may not be highlighted much on the website, but for limited hours the on-site café also serves a variety of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and snacks. I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for their warm and attentive service.

On a whim, we decided to take a refreshing getaway and made a same-day Reservation at Nampuro, which we’d been curious about for some time. It was our first trip in a while, and while we were excited, we tried not to set our expectations too high when we checked in—but the moment we stepped inside, our excitement just kept growing! We stayed in Grand Oceans, and from the instant we got off the elevator—seeing the wide selection of drinks and light snacks—and walked down the beautifully atmospheric hallway, then opened the door to our room… everything was amazing. One “This is incredible!” after another. A bath with an ocean view, delicious meals, relaxing in the room with drinks—it was exactly the refreshing trip we had been looking for. Since it was raining, it wasn’t quite a breathtaking view this time, but we found ourselves saying, “Next time let’s come when it’s sunny,” and ended up promising each other another stay! Thank you for such a wonderful time. We’ll be back!!

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at a comfortable pace. It was quiet and spotless throughout, and the Onsen was incredibly open and wonderful. Every meal was deeply delicious. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. I feel as if both my body and mind have been refreshed. I can hardly believe how reasonably priced it is. Thank you very much. I will definitely return.

This was my first stay. I found this Hotel online at short notice, but the 12:00 checkout and child-friendly breakfast appealed to me. The room was very clean and offered excellent value for money. The staff were also very kind and helpful. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

Having visited Yoko no Kaze before, we stayed here this year. Our family has grown, and our daughter-in-law joined us as well. They kindly prepared Rooms next to each other for us. At Kumoba Terrace, we took our time enjoying alcohol and fresh juice, and the lit bonfire and birch forest were truly soothing. In the spacious, clean Room, we relaxed in the Onsen brought from Ueda City. The cuisine was outstanding—seasonal and beautifully presented. We enjoyed everything from the scallop takikomi rice to dessert, though the portions were a bit large for me. As it was our daughter-in-law’s birthday month, we requested a surprise message plate. She was very happy, which made us glad as well. Thanks to the thoughtful staff, we were able to add another precious family memory. Thank you very much.

Following our stay during the March equinox holidays, we stayed with you again for the September equinox holidays. We booked connecting Corner Suite and Comfort Suite Rooms. With just one door between the two Rooms, communication between grandma and her grandchild improved dramatically. The Onsen in such a prime Ginza location was exceptional—grandma enjoyed it so much she went in three times. Breakfast was beautifully presented, which lifted our spirits, and everything was delicious. We will be back again.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with three relatives. In a word, it was a wonderful Accommodation. The restaurant meals were especially excellent—seasonal, creative dishes that we could enjoy both visually and in taste. The chef’s ideas are outstanding. All of the service staff were warm and welcoming, making our dining time even more enjoyable. I felt that whether the meals at an Accommodation are good or not almost determines whether the trip was great. Of course, both the Room and the bath were also very good. If I had to mention one small point, the amenities were from a brand with a very distinctive fragrance. Preferences may vary, but personally I felt there might be other options that would suit this Accommodation as well. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

We’d been looking forward to staying here because of its great reputation for food. Every dish was carefully prepared, and the homemade sweet bean paste in the dessert was lightly sweet and delicious. We wanted to eat it again, so we made a Reservation for November. At the large public bath “Kawa-no-Yu,” you can enjoy natural hot spring water while watching goldfish. There is also a private bath on the 3rd floor of the main building. You can also use the private baths at the annex Tamaya, making this Accommodation perfect for amazing food and Onsen!

It was a truly wonderful hotel. I visited Kanazawa with my elderly mother, and booking a hotel in such a great location surrounded by sightseeing spots was absolutely the right choice. Getting around by taxi was smooth and easy.\nBefore check-in we arrived early, but we were promptly shown to our room as they told us it was already ready, which made my mother very happy.\nThe carpets and wall art throughout the hotel were exactly our style and really lifted our spirits.\nWe were also captivated by the Kutani ware mugs and teacups provided in the room. It made us feel, “We’re really traveling in Kanazawa!” and we were so pleased.\nThe coffee tasted especially delicious in those cups, but it was a little disappointing that the same ones weren’t available in the gift shop.\nInstead, we bought Kutani ware as souvenirs at a Kutani shop on our way home.\nFor dinner, since I was traveling with my elderly mother, I had requested seats as close to the buffet tables as possible, but they kindly prepared a private room nearby for us.\nThanks to that, we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace.\nThank you very much.\nI truly appreciate the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail.\nWe were very satisfied with both the quality and quantity of everything—from Kanazawa specialties like jibuni stew and Kanazawa oden to nodoguro sushi and dessert.\nHere as well, many beautiful pieces of pottery such as Kutani ware were used for small plates, allowing us to enjoy the food visually too.\nI rated the facilities 4 stars only because my elderly mother felt that overall the interior of the hotel seemed rather dark—this is just our personal impression.\nAfter checkout we took the shuttle bus to the station; it was a large sightseeing coach and very comfortable.\nThank you for taking such good care of us.\nWe would love to stay again.

I think this Accommodation is very comfortable for solo travelers. I was worried about using the bath because I wanted to use it as many times as I liked whenever I wanted, but I was able to enjoy it to my full satisfaction. Breakfast also offered a generous variety. It’s an Accommodation that makes you want to come back anytime. The shakuhachi performance was also a refreshing experience.
