It had been a while since I last visited Hokkaido. Because the price was reasonable, I didn’t have overly high expectations, but after actually staying here, it was a perfect 10/10. I would definitely like to stay again next time. I also want to recommend it to everyone. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed here several times, and I don’t think there’s any other Accommodation like this. I experienced something similar once in Switzerland, but I’ve never come across anything like it in Japan. It’s the kind of Facility that could seem almost too ambitious—like the sort of place you build and then it gradually deteriorates—but instead, it’s an incredible space, with amazing wood-fire cooking, and above all, a truly wonderful setting where you can freely enjoy a campfire. I genuinely have so much respect for what you’ve created! And on top of that, Kiyosato is one of Japan’s best resort areas for fresh air. This was a new discovery for me: When coming from central Tokyo to Kiyosato, do you usually drive all the way? This time I took the Azusa to Kofu Station and then rented a car from there, and it was honestly perfect! So I’d love to stay with you again very soon. Thank you for such a truly wonderful Accommodation! By the way, I especially recommend the villa.

Rooms & Facilities: We didn’t use the bathtub, but there were no issues. As noted in advance, there is no elevator, so it’s a long walk to the corner Room on the 4th floor, and the hallway is hot. Service: The male staff member provided accurate information and guidance. Onsen: It’s a bit far, but there were few guests so we could relax at our own pace. Meals: We were able to eat in a quiet, calm setting. Thank you for the complimentary items as well. The additional charges (alcohol) for two people came to 6,100 yen.

The souvenir corner offered a variety of adorable items, and I couldn't resist purchasing some. The Room was comfortable and provided a pleasant stay. The meals, made with local ingredients, were absolutely delicious. However, it was a bit disappointing that the crowd made it feel rushed as we had to line up for everything.

Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, thanks to the very kind staff. There was too much food at dinner, so I couldn’t finish it. The bath was also very nice. I had hurt my knee, so I didn’t get to walk around the famous garden, but I was able to relax in the Room. There were also USB ports by the bed.

It was our first couple's trip in over twenty years without the kids. We visited with the intention of enjoying delicious food and leisurely drinks, and it was the perfect choice. All the dishes were very tasty, and the balance between French and Japanese cuisine was excellent, which made the sparkling wine and sake go down smoothly. The staff's service and their explanations about the drinks were wonderfully enjoyable. For breakfast, we had the rare truffle kamameshi, which was delightful as it was cooked to match our timing. The beautifully presented salad was also delicious, leaving both our eyes and stomachs satisfied. Since it was a weekday during the off-season, I was able to enjoy the enchanting outdoor jacuzzi at night all by myself. The purpose of the trip was to relax together, and everything from the compactness of the Hotel to the food and service was comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you very much. On our way back, we talked about how we are interested in trying the Asian cuisine next time.

In Sapporo, I usually stay at a specific hotel, but this time I chose this accommodation that had caught my attention before. The location is perfect, right between Sapporo Station and Odori Station, and very close to the Chikaho exit. It’s truly convenient. The room was also clean. Thank you very much!

I enjoyed two days at Hakodate Racecourse. It rained, but the Hotel is right in front, which was a huge help. You can also borrow an umbrella. There are vending machines for coffee, tea, and corn soup near the elevator. You can have as many cups as you like for free. The chicken wings at breakfast were delicious.

A warm welcome made for a pleasant start. The Onsen was excellent. The meals were beautifully presented with an autumn theme and were absolutely delicious.

Our family of four stayed for one night. On the first day we went to Fuji-Q Highland, and on the second day we toured around Lake Kawaguchi. From the welcome drink to kid-friendly services, the hospitality was wonderful. The kids were especially happy with the fireworks they received. In central Tokyo, there are only limited places where you can set off fireworks... The Room was clean and well maintained, and the Facility offerings were excellent. There were also amenities and equipment not listed on the website (bottled water, Ramune soda, coffee and tea, a hair iron, bathrobes, a ride to the station the next morning, and rental bicycles), so you won’t have any trouble as long as you bring only your basic personal items. Having breakfast delivered was also quietly appreciated. If we had to go to a dining area or pick it up somewhere, we would have needed to get ready—but it was easy to just receive it right after waking up.

The place felt a bit old overall, but that only made it wonderfully nostalgic. The child we brought along also found it refreshingly different and enjoyed exploring inside. The meals were full of that nostalgic vibe as well. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of having coloring pages so our child wouldn’t get bored. They even lent us tabletop games at the front desk, which was perfect for killing a little time. Everyone’s service was great, and we had a very comfortable stay. The view from the bath stretched far into the distance, and it was relaxing to just zone out and enjoy it. Also, the adjacent pool was really fun. There were about four different slides, and it’s hard to pick a favorite. The one from the very top was my first time sliding through complete darkness—exciting and a little scary. Since the pool is extremely close to the Accommodation, it’s a big help for families with kids. Guests can reserve spots earlier than day visitors, which made things super easy. If I had to ask for one thing: I noticed traces of what looked like an arcade area in the building—if only that were still there...

Having a Seicomart convenience store in the building was very convenient for picking up breakfast.

This time, there were stylish amenities and loungewear provided, and I was able to use the large public bath. Although the construction seems to be taking a long time, it did not interfere with my stay, and it felt nice that the construction staff greeted me. At check-out there was a Japanese female staff member, so it would be good to have one at check-in as well.

It was nice to see that Japanese-style dishes were included in the breakfast, which used to be only Western-style. Also, there was a large sign indicating non-alcoholic wine, but it turned out to be real wine with alcohol. I drank it by mistake as they were placed in the same area, so I will be more careful.

The views are beautiful, and the peaceful setting lets you enjoy a special getaway. There is also a sauna, and each Room has its own bathroom and toilet, so even large groups can stay comfortably with plenty of privacy. We tried the BBQ once, but it wasn’t quite what we expected. Since delivery is available, you may be fine without meals included. The butler’s service was excellent as well. For older guests, the beds may feel a bit too high.

It was an Accommodation that became a wonderful memory for our wedding anniversary trip. Special Room “Kumo” We enjoyed a delicious meal at the counter seats, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The open-air bath in the Room was also excellent—we could soak while watching the fishing lights.

From the moment we arrived at the Accommodation, we were warmly welcomed, and it felt very homey. The food was delicious, and everything was explained very carefully. At night, we were also able to watch a meteor shower from what seemed like a terrace or balcony, which was very satisfying.

I have stayed at NIPPONIA in other locations before, but we chose this Accommodation because it is close to Chichibugahama Beach. It seems well suited for longer stays, with a spacious kitchen that was very easy to use. The two-story maisonette layout also provided plenty of privacy; the three of us stayed as a family and each of us could relax at our own pace. We could walk to Chichibugahama Beach, and although it was extremely hot, we enjoyed morning and evening walks. Since dining options are a bit far away, it was slightly inconvenient without a car. It might be nice if in-Room dining were available as an option as well. This time we also ordered an optional cake, and they kindly consulted with us from the planning stage, making it a wonderful birthday and trip with great memories. I would love to come back and take it easy again in another season.

I stayed here when visiting the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. Since this is a pension, please consider this review as an evaluation of a different type of stay than a typical Hotel or Ryokan. Room The Room was very simple and clean. It was also spacious enough to relax comfortably. The bed felt slightly small and has a frame at the foot, so taller guests may find it bothersome. At 185 cm, my feet were completely hanging off the end. Facility The bath, toilet, and refrigerator are shared. The bath was a fairly large communal bath for a pension. Although it feels a bit old, it is kept clean. Meals For dinner you can choose BBQ or a set course meal. I chose the BBQ; it was mainly pork, with plenty of vegetables, and I ended up very full. Next time I’d like to try the course meal as well. Breakfast was a classic Japanese-style breakfast—well balanced and satisfying. Overall The Room was clean, the meals were wonderful, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming, making for an excellent experience. As it was the off-season, the price was also very helpful. It’s about an hour from here to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, so I highly recommend this pension for anyone visiting there. Because it’s deep in the mountains in Ishikawa Prefecture, nights are cool and air conditioning wasn’t necessary. However, since it’s in the mountains there are insects in summer (they take precautions but can’t eliminate them completely). That said, this is normal for mountain pensions like this one—you just need to be prepared for it. Highly recommended for those who enjoy pensions or mountain lodges.
