It was a soothing escape from my hectic daily routine. It was wonderful—I’ll definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a family trip combined with our annual visit to the graves in Niigata. The building is old, and there was an unpleasant smell outside the room, possibly due to an out-of-service restroom nearby. However, the room was clean, and the Onsen was very relaxing. The Hotel staff were very kind, and we would like to stay here again on our next visit.

This was my first business trip to Aomori, and after reading Reviews, I chose to stay at Kaosenkaku. The view of Mutsu Bay from the Room was even more breathtaking than I imagined, and the sunset was truly soothing. At dinner, we enjoyed Nebuta Festival hand dances, folk songs, Tsugaru shamisen performances, and dancing—since we didn’t have time to go sightseeing, it made our stay feel like a full Aomori experience!! Next time, I’d love to visit again and take my time exploring as well. Thank you for a wonderful time.

I’ve stayed at Dormy Inn in Nagano and Sendai, and I really liked the large public bath. I’d love to stay at other Dormy Inn locations again.

From the Shuttle Service from the parking lot to the attentive hospitality, meals, and everything in between, everything was perfect and made for a truly comfortable stay. While many places in recent years have reduced staff and their service feels lacking, this long-established Ryokan showed us the true essence of thoughtful hospitality—anticipating every need. As long as I am able, I would love to return again on my next opportunity.

This was our fourth stay. We usually come with our kids for about three nights, and there’s never a shortage of daytime activities—pool time, crafts, fishing, table tennis, and ceramic painting. This time we also went hiking and visited the herb garden. After working up a sweat, we could soak in the Onsen anytime, and it was wonderful that the lounge was almost always available to use. We visit during summer vacation and at year-end. Since we don’t have a family home to return to, this place feels like one for us. We’ll definitely be back again—thank you in advance.

My mother stayed with you on this occasion with three friends. She told me that everything—the Room, the Onsen, and the meals—was outstanding. To celebrate her 77th birthday, you prepared a purple hood and vest for photos and also provided celebratory red rice buns, which made for wonderful memories, and she is truly grateful. Although the three of them travel to many places, they were deeply impressed by your exceptional hospitality. Thank you very much.

Our family of four stayed in a room with a private open-air bath, and it was amazing—even putting it mildly. The meals, baths, and views were all excellent. The food was generous and delicious, and at night we enjoyed a sky full of stars. The bath left our skin silky smooth—especially the morning bath, which I highly recommend. This was our first stay, but it’s an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much.

We are always very satisfied with the pleasant hospitality, delicious meals, and relaxing Onsen. This time, we chose the teppanyaki dinner course for the first time, and it was delicious and very satisfying. It made us want to visit again right away, so as soon as we returned home, we promptly made our next Reservation. We look forward to staying with you again.

I originally made a Reservation at “Nene no Michi Bettei,” but due to a change in Room allocation, I ended up staying at Hotel VMG Kyoto Kamogawa. From check-in to check-out, I was deeply impressed by the staff’s impeccable attention to detail and thoughtful hospitality. Sleeping in the bedroom while gazing up at the coffered ceiling felt like an “exceptional escape from everyday life.” At the paid lounge, alcohol and other drinks are available free-flow, with snacks as well—it truly feels like a private lounge. Because the property preserves the character of a historic building, soundproofing is not perfect; however, it more than makes up for it with an elegant, nostalgic atmosphere. The Japanese-style room next to the bedroom overlooks a small courtyard garden and offers a wonderfully atmospheric view that made time feel as if it passed more slowly. That said, perhaps because the air conditioning does not reach this room easily, I found the heat noticeable. Although it would involve additional cost, lending spot coolers or simple heaters to guests upon request during limited seasons (summer/winter) could help make better use of this room and may also become a new experiential highlight—especially for international travelers. I’m truly grateful to all of the staff for giving me such an extraordinary stay. This is a Hotel I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an “indescribably exceptional escape from everyday life.”

This trip was to celebrate my mother’s birthday. She requested to see the Onsen she had visited with my late father during their honeymoon, and also the snow monkeys at Jigokudani Monkey Park. We chose this Accommodation because Reviews repeatedly mentioned the private family bath and a homey, relaxing atmosphere. True to the Reviews, it was a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place. The warm glow of washi paper lamps displayed throughout was beautiful, and we could feel the proprietress’s thoughtful care in every detail. And the food—absolutely delicious! Dinner just kept coming (laugh). Every dish was freshly made and served hot. The best of all was the kake soba hand-made by the chef that very morning. I love soba and visit many places, but I’m sorry—this was truly the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Breakfast also made us happy with piping-hot dashimaki tamago. The highlight of breakfast was the miso soup—I wanted to take home the whole pot. As we’ve gotten older, we choose our trips carefully based on both meals and Accommodation quality, and this place offered outstanding value for money. More than anything, we made unforgettable memories here. On our way out, I bought one of the lamps that were on display at the Accommodation as a gift for my mother. Thanks to you, it became the best birthday present possible. We’ll come again in winter—and again for her birthday next year too. I was able to spend a relaxing, luxurious time and truly feel refreshed. Although there aren’t many washing stations in the bath area, each one is separated by partitions, which made it easy to use at my own pace without worrying about others. There was plenty of space, and I enjoyed a very comfortable soak. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything from the appetizers onward was delicious. At breakfast, I appreciated being able to choose between rice or rice porridge; the sansho-seasoned baby sardines and lightly seasoned eggplant were especially memorable. The staff’s hospitality was warm and attentive, making my stay comfortable from arrival to departure. I’m truly glad I chose Shikisai Ichiriki.

Both the Room and the staff member who assisted us were wonderful, and we were able to truly relax. As I casually looked out from the Japanese-style Room at the beautiful garden, a large grey heron was resting its wings by the waterfall. It was my first time observing one from so close, and I was thrilled. The thoughtfully prepared cuisine is always delicious, and this time again every dish was deeply impressive. Staying in a detached guesthouse felt perfect just being there, but I went out to make sure not to miss the live music in the lobby—and it turned into another wonderfully romantic moment. As often as time and budget allow, I would love to return again and again to unwind. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I was looking for an Accommodation to visit Sumatakyo Gorge and Oigawa Lakeside Station, and happened to find this Hotel on a Reservation site—but it was better than expected. The Room was new, clean, and spacious. The interior throughout is stylishly designed. The service was excellent. Both the drinks and amenities were thoughtfully selected. And the dark brown Onsen (pH 8.6) felt silky and gentle on the skin—I wanted to soak again and again. We only had breakfast, but it featured local vegetables and fermented foods with a mild, comforting flavor. I was satisfied with everything. I wished I could have stayed longer, and I’d love to stay here again.

This was my fourth stay. Although it was still early September—far from autumn—I was looking for a place where I could truly relax and enjoy delicious food. After searching around, I ended up coming back to Yuzuriha again. With only a small number of guest Rooms, it never feels crowded no matter when I visit. Check-in and check-out are handled calmly and unhurriedly, and above all, the staff’s kind service and warm smiles are so soothing. The building isn’t brand-new, but everything is spotless down to the smallest details. Every Room faces Ena Gorge, so there’s no sense of confinement—and even though I know what to expect each time, I still can’t help letting out a “wow” every time I open the door. I travel from Nagoya, and it’s easy to get here even without a car since you can use Meitetsu, JR, and buses. On the way back, if you use the Hotel’s Shuttle Service bus, you’ll arrive at Ena-shi Station in no time—so as long as you know the departure time, it’s completely stress-free. Even though I know how beautiful and delicious the meals will be every time, each dish that arrives still makes me sigh with admiration. The portions are generous enough to fully satisfy even men with big appetites. The chef’s careful and delicate work never lets up—all the way through dessert. The Onsen water has a slightly silky feel, and even after getting out of the bath my skin stays smooth for a long time. I’ve seen some Reviews saying it feels “light,” but for me it’s more than enough. The water isn’t too hot either; being able to soak for a long time while listening to birds and insects is wonderfully comfortable—I think it’s just the right balance. Honestly, it’s such a wonderful Accommodation that part of me wants to keep it secret—but because I want this level of satisfaction to continue in the future as well, I wrote this Review hoping that people who haven’t been here yet will experience it too. This is not an exaggeration: at this price point, Yuzuriha never disappoints. I’ll be back again—thank you in advance. P.S. We celebrated his birthday here. We chose this Accommodation to celebrate as the last couple before we become husband and wife when we visit Shimabara again next year. We were truly impressed by the staff’s thoughtful hospitality, and the locally sourced cuisine was absolutely delicious. The in-Room sauna and bath were both excellent. Everything was perfect.

We chose this place because the Karuizawa outlet area gets crowded and it’s hard to enjoy a relaxing summer retreat there—and it was absolutely the right decision! Everything from the Room to the Onsen has been beautifully renovated, and we were very satisfied. And for train lovers, it was a real treat to be able to take a monorail to the Onsen. Even if you don’t ride it, you can get there quickly by stairs. We’d love to stay again.

We stayed as a group of four—my older sister, my mother, my aunt, and me—to celebrate my sister’s 60th birthday. Thank you for the flowers and message card delivered to our Room. Having photos taken during dinner also became a wonderful keepsake. You even prepared a special outfit for the 60th birthday celebration, which truly warmed our hearts. Since it was a weekday, the baths were not crowded, which was perfect for my elderly mother and aunt. For dinner (we chose a Plan with fewer dishes because two of us are elderly), everything was elegantly seasoned, and there were still enough dishes to leave us completely satisfied. It was the most delicious meal I have ever had in my life. In two years, I would like to stay again to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday.

Last year, I invited some friends and stayed here, and this year we were able to visit again around the same time because they really wanted to come back. I have visited several times for family events, and we were welcomed with the same warm smiles as always. The delicious, heartfelt meals, the well-kept and comfortable Room, and the bath that felt truly refreshing made for a wonderful stay. It’s already on our schedule for next year too—we’re looking forward to it. Thank you very much.

I was completely satisfied with this Accommodation! This was my first stay here. After reading Reviews in advance, I saw comments saying it was like a “stink bug Accommodation,” so I braced myself. But it wasn’t like that at all—there were a few stink bugs, but for an Accommodation surrounded by nature, having some insects is only to be expected, and it didn’t bother me. I almost felt sorry that the staff kept apologizing for the stink bugs. The food was absolutely delicious, and I’m very grateful that they sincerely accommodated an unexpected situation where I had to step away in the middle of the meal. The Room had a calm atmosphere with plenty of traditional Uchiko washi paper used throughout, and I was able to relax deeply. Breakfast also had a fun concept where you can compare three different types of eggs—I loved it! This is an Accommodation I’d gladly go out of my way to stay at again!
